Among her many television shows, That's Entertainment from 1966 gained her international attention when it won the award for best comedy show at the Montreux Comedy Festival. The workshop developed successfully for five years until circumstances during World War II did not allow further operation. Alexi Pappas or Alexia Pappa (Greek Αλεξία Παππά; born 28 March 1990) is a Greek-American long distance athlete, filmmaker, actor, and writer. As a long distance runner, Alexi has been most successful in the 10km, but has also been a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) All-American at indoor 3,000 metres, 5,000 metres, and the steeplechase as well as the Ivy League champion in the steeplechase. Pappa Fourway (1952-1978) was an Irish-bred, British-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the outstanding specialist sprinters of the twentieth century and one of the best horses trained in the North of England. After winning four times as a two-year-old in 1954 he was the dominant European sprinter of 1955 when he was undefeated in eight races including the King's Stand Stakes, July Cup and Diadem Stakes. He was retired to stud in the United States where he had modest success as a sire of winners.

Paschalidou-Moreti was the youngest daughter of Konstantinos Paschalidis and Despina Pappa. In 1922 her family moved from Istanbul to Bulgaria, soon after to Thessaloniki and finally to Athens, where they settled permanently in 1925. Victor Anthony Toweel was born on 12 January 1928 in Benoni, South Africa. He was the second eldest of six brothers and the son of Michael Joseph Toweel, who was of Lebanese descent. Toweel's father, better known as Pappa Mike, taught his sons, Jimmy, Victor, Fraser, Willie and Allan the basic rudiments of boxing and forged a family legacy in a makeshift corrugated iron gymnasium in the backyard of his home in Benoni. "Weekend Special" is the debut single by the South African recording group Brenda and the Big Dudes taken from their debut studio album Weekend Special (1983). It was written by Melvyn Matthews, as was the B-side "Life Is Going On" a gospel-like tune dipped in the blues, a timeless ballad showing Brenda's vocal power in the style of Whitney Houston, Weekend Special features production by Blondie Makhene (one half of the famous 1970s duo Blondie & Pappa) and Matthews. The song was released by EMI Records as a maxi single titled "Weekend Special", in February 1983. The single was successful commercially and became one of Brenda's signature songs.

Despina's inspiration derived from everyday people of Athens’ life such as a tavern boy, a shoemaker, a baker, etc. Often her dolls would illustrate comical and funny features of people, such as the “Menidiatis”, holding a spit of meat, and the “Delapatridis”. Moreover, one of the Greek ministers ordered an oversized doll named “Othonas” and offered it as a present to the Prime Minister of Greece, Eleftherios Venizelos.

In 1948, after the sudden death of her husband, Lilι was professionally involved in making dolls with the support of her mother, Despina Pappa - Paschalidou , who used to be a prominent dollmaker during the Interwar period (she owned a workshop for handmade dolls in Athens, in the operation of which Lili herself had contributed). The new workshop was also in Nea Smyrni, Athens, and employed two more women, refugees from Asia Minor, one of whom was Lili' s mother's former colleague. Lili Paschalidou - Theodoridou standardizes two doll sizes and makes the lower part of their legs lead with pencil so that they stand better. She makes handmade dolls which she dresses with Greek local costumes that she designs, sews and embroiders on her own.

Also in the Talmud, the interpretation is found of rabbi Hanina ben Pappa (3rd century AD), that Lailah is an angel in charge of conception who takes a drop of semen and places it before God, saying: Lailah chooses a soul from the Garden of Eden and commands it to enter the embryo. Lailah watches over the development in the womb and shows the rewards and punishments available to the individual.

Her own generation (56 first cousins) had many artists, the most famous of whom are the sculptor Giannis Pappas, the painter Eleni Pangalou, the painter Andreas Vourloumis, as well as the painter Helen Paschalidou, Lili' s sister and later wife of the sculptor George Zongolopoulos. From a current cultural perspective, the Greek Orthodox metropolitan Agustinos Kantiotis has denounced the use of Greek mythology such as the use of Hermes on a postage stamp and the incorporation of images from Greek mythology into universities' logos and buildings. As a result, conditions in the already struggling town deteriorated. There was not enough food or housing for the growing Jewish population and the Nazi presence became harder to ignore. There were also growing health concerns as Józefów become a hot spot for the typhus epidemic in Biłgoraj County in 1941 and 1942. There were no doctors remaining in the town to tend to the sick and deaths from typhus were common. The Józefów Massacre was carried out by the men of Nazi German Reserve Police Battalion 101, led by Major Wilhelm Trapp (“Pappa Trapp”). The battalion had eleven officers, five administrators and 486 men. The servicemen of Police Battalion 101 were not dedicated Nazis, but ordinary Germans from Hamburg and the surrounding region. In their second match, Los Chapines salvaged a draw in the closing minutes of the game against Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain after Carlos Gallardo deflected a free kick by Marco Pappa. On 10 September, Cuba shocked the Guatemala fans by taking the lead after Roberto Linares scored in the 25th minute, but by half- time, Carlos Ruiz had equalised, and in the second half, Ruiz scored again. Mario Rodríguez and José Manuel Contreras also scored and Guatemala won 4–1. On 11 October, many fans gathered around the Estadio Mateo Flores for the game against Trinidad and Tobago.
