"Two very attractive acquirers that I would have put high up on my list have shown up," the Overstock (OSTBP) CEO said on Thursday from the sidelines of the Fortune Brainstorm Finance conference in Montauk, New York.

Shares of the online retail giants Amazon, Etsy, Overstock, and Wayfair tanked on Thursday after the Supreme Court ruled that states can impose sales on online purchases even if the business doesn't have a physical presence there.

" He wouldn't be a buyer of options in Overstock, he said, adding that "if you have an opinion in this stock, get long it or get short it, and then sell the options against it to lower.

Forte said in a Thursday note that after Overstock indicated in an earnings call it could sell its home e-commerce business, he is raising his target price on the stock to $85 from $57 a share.

"There were a number of technologists who thought the technology supplemented securities law, and the SEC has made it clear it's not the case," said Stephen Obie, partner at law firm Jones Day and representative for Overstock.

Byrne has railed against corruption on Wall Street for decades, occasionally using Overstock as a weapon, like when he took the company public outside of Wall Street in 2002, using a transaction known as a Dutch auction.

"I wanted to let you know of a few specimens we have an overstock that we are trying to place before the end of the year," United Tissue Executive Director Alyssa Harrison wrote to a bone research organization.

Blinq is owned and operated by Optoro, a company that assists companies with their returned and overstock inventory (AKA reverse logistics.) According to Optoro SVP of E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, Larisa Summers, many retailers are still using "wildly inefficient" processes when dealing with returns.
