There are over 100 shorts in the series. Later, in the mid-1990s, the series had a brief afterlife airing overnights on the now defunct Network One (N1). The episodes were five minutes in length, including end credits. Many of which were expansions of their two-minute counterparts from Fox Kids.

AM 820 broadcasts with 5,000 watts daytime and 790 watts directional in the evenings and overnights from their respective transmitter sites located near Upper Arlington and Grove City. St. Gabriel programming was previously broadcasting on WVKO until the purchase of WOSU took place. Hence, St. Gabriel programming on WVKO ceased on December 20 at 6P.M. local time.

In June 1990, night jock Joe Mama replaced Hayes. Todd Hollst, who was doing overnights, began producing comedy bits & doing stunts for the show. In March 1991, Alan Kaye would be fired under controversy by GM David Macejko, which would result in a later lawsuit from Kaye, which he would win. Joe Mama's new co-host was Sandy Donovan.
Eastern and Pacific Time. A separate block of feature films (and occasionally, other entertainment programs) also airs overnights on Monday through Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 a.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 to 5:00 a.m., and weekends from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific Time. Poor ratings performances of the evening edition caused the network to cut it 25 minutes and moved it to 21:00, putting it in direct competition with its rival networks.

Alliance Broadcasting bought the station from Shamrock in May 1994. On June 25, KXRX began stunting with comedy routines.

The station has been silent on January 2014. From that point until the Fox affiliation ended, it continued broadcasting on channel 18.2 of sister station WSJP-LD. On January 1, 2016, and after two years off the air, WSJX-LP resumes broadcasting and becomes an affiliate of the LATV network. WSJX-LP broadcasts the entire LATV schedule with Shop LC paid programming overnights.
AYH also sponsored self-supported bicycle tours with overnights at its hostels to such places as the Midwest and Canadian Rockies. The program usually consists of a mix of news and current affairs, lifestyle, arts, education, music, youth and entertainment. Each night there are regular features and presenters.

Dave also hosted the innovative Davey Mac Sports Program for SiriusXM.

Starting in 2005, WSCR started airing Sporting News Radio programming overnights. It also began airing the nationally syndicated Dan Patrick show on a delayed basis in 2007. Currently overnight, CBS Sports Radio programming is heard on AM 670. WSCR also carries CBS Sports Radio on its live stream audio whenever it airs the NFL on Westwood One and Cubs baseball, which do not allow live streaming.
Trevor Chappell is an Australian local radio presenter for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) based in Melbourne. The station was entirely automated with in house voicetracking except for overnights when they ran "After Midnight". Ratings were still very low but the format lasted until September 2004. In September 2004 Clear Channel lost the local marketing agreement with locally owned 96.7 WTSX (known as Fox 96.7) which played '60s' and '70s' oldies.

Cumulus Broadcasting changed the format of the AM to talk ("News Radio 1440") and ended the heritage call letters WHHY. The station was reassigned the heritage WHHY-FM call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on January 22, 1999.
KIRO, Inc. became one of the nation's premier regional broadcast groups, and was led by General Manager Joe Abel during this period. KIRO was a full service adult contemporary radio station by the mid 1970s, playing music during the day, talk in the evenings, and more music intensive on weekends with exception of sports events. By 1980, the station played music during the day with talk heard night and overnights.
As a result, in 1997, half the staff (including WDLC's newly hired morning man and program director) were laid off and WTSX became automated evenings and overnights. WDLC automated several years before using the satellite delivered Adult Standards format. 'Adler After Dark', the Adler Planetarium's 21+ evening event, was voted "Best After Hours Event" of 2013 by the Chicago Reader and "Best Date Night" by Chicago Parent. 'Astro Overnights' give families a chance to spend a night under the stars at the Adler. Guests have open museum access, a sky show and educational programming.
Emmis soon decided to switch things up and moved Nat's overnight show from Hot 97 to 98.7 Kiss FM. Lil Nat stayed on overnights till 98.7kiss FM became Espn radio in 2012. In 2011 she started NB productions in which she developed LilNat.com and began production on her cooking show.on the back burner By 2013 Lil Nat decided to get back on the radio but with her own rules and she created Digital Empire Nation.
She maintained a long-running fortnightly radio spot on the nationally broadcast ABC Local Radio Overnights program and is often remembered for her appearances on the nationally televised World Series Debates that were a gala event of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in the early 1990s. A large woman, Cruickshank often made use of her size in her on-stage and on-screen personas and it became a signature part of her public image.
On July 1, 2020, Red Apple Media — owner of WABC in New York City — began operating the station through a local marketing agreement, and converted it to a near-simulcast of WABC's talk programming. An exception to the simulcast is a local morning program hosted by Frank Morano, which replaces Brian Kilmeade (as it is already cleared by competitor WRCN- FM). Morano would also join WABC's main lineup on weekday overnights and Sunday nights.
The station can be heard as far east as Strathroy (farther east, co-channel CHJX-FM in London interferes) and Chatham to the south. The station was launched with the callsign CJFI on September 14, 1981 by Rogers Communications, the owner of the city's existing CKJD. CJFI featured easy listening music with some simulcasting of Top 40-formatted CKJD overnights. The station adopted its current call sign and format on February 26, 1988.
The Graveyard Shift is a late night talk, news & music show broadcast on Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Triple J network. Originally hosted by comedian Dave Callan, it is broadcast from the Melbourne studios. The show is currently on Saturday overnights from 1am, with chill out party until the break of dawn on Sunday mornings from 4-6am. The Graveyard Shift first aired in 2005, replacing the simulcast of Rage (now broadcast on ABC1).
Rewind is a Canadian television news series, which aired overnights on CP24. The series repeated past newscasts from Citytv Toronto. Citytv and CP24 were owned by CHUM Limited until July 2007, when CP24 and the rest of the CHUM Limited properties were sold to CTVglobemedia, while the Citytv stations were sold to Rogers Media. However, the series continued to air on CP24 for one more year, and was cancelled in September 2008.

With WQEW leaving the format after Christmas 1998, it was hoped that WVNJ would pick up some of their advertisers and ratings. However, by 1999 Adult Standards had become a tough format to sell and WVNJ was losing sponsors. As a result, the station began automating evenings and overnights. In 2002, WVNJ began selling blocks of evening time as well as blocks of weekend time to specialty programmers as well as for infomercials.
KHRT (106.9 FM and 1320 AM) are two Christian radio stations located in Minot, North Dakota owned and operated by Faith Broadcasting. KHRT-FM concentrates on contemporary Christian music (CCM), while the AM station concentrates on a Southern gospel format. Both stations air satellite fed programming from Salem Communications during the overnights and weekends. The FM station is also rebroadcast on several translators (low-powered rebroadcasters) outside of its main listening area.

On 22 September 2017, it was announced that the book would be adapted for BBC One and air at Christmas 2017. The film was written by Walliams and Kevin Cecil and starred Tom Courtenay as Grandpa, Kit Connor as Jack, Jennifer Saunders as Miss Dandy with Samantha Spiro and Walliams as Jack's parents, Patricia and Barry. The film aired on New Year's Day 2018 to an overnights audience of around 5 million viewers.

On February 15, 2011, WUMT changed their call letters to WVTT in preparation for a change to talk radio. Colonial had previously announced plans to launch a talk radio station on W237CS but never followed through with the permit. Local morning and evening shows are planned, with the Glenn Beck Program and Dennis Miller carried during the midday and Fox Sports Radio on overnights. The station also announced plans to be carried on an FM translator on 99.1 MHz.

Critics weren't kind to this sudden shift and wondered what WABC was thinking. However, everyone involved was aware that FM was beginning to dominate the radio landscape, and Howard's arrival was designed to be part of a game-changer for the station. Long time afternoon fixture Dan Ingram was moved to mornings, Ingram sound-alike Bob Cruz was placed in afternoons and Sturgis Griffin was brought in for overnights. Hoffman's tenure at WABC was marked by two diverse events.
Call letters were changed to WHTT and the station broadcast a black oldies format, with emphasis on Motown and Soul, and simulcasted Y-100 overnights. The station shortly thereafter took on a Hispanic format with the call letters WHTT (Radio Hit). After the station was sold again, the call letters became WSUA, Radio Suave, and took on a ballad-oriented format, similar to that of the current Romantica on FM. WSUA has discontinued broadcasting in HD Radio.

Renaissance tried to negotiate a local marketing agreement (LMA) with Counterpoint in which it would buy WTXX's entire broadcast day, except for overnights and an hour during the day in which WTXX was to run Catholic programming. During negotiations, which lasted from the time the sale became final until July 1993, Renaissance agreed to have WTXX run The Disney Afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and some off network sitcoms from 5:00 p.m.

The original air staff included McKee and Program Director Rick Cummings in middays, Gary Semro in morning drive, Scott Wheeler in afternoon drive, with Chuck Larson and Kristi Lee in nights and overnights. Veteran broadcast journalist Glenn Webber anchored morning news on WENS.

In 1996, Christian Television Network would buy WIRB (Paxson Communications, the predecessor to Ion Media Networks, took a LMA on the station at the same time) while Florida Media Broadcasters would buy WNTO (which would be later sold to Entravision and became Univision affiliate WVEN). WIRB then ran religious shows in the morning, infomercials in the afternoon and evening, and Christian praise and worship music on overnights in addition to the NBC programs not cleared by WESH.
Local personalities heard on WCLV include Jacqueline Gerber (mornings), Mark Satola (middays), Bill O'Connell (afternoon drive), Rob Greer (evenings), and John Mills (overnights).WCLV personalities On Sunday afternoons, Dennis Lewin (of the rock band Beau Coup) hosts Turning You onto Classical Music. WCLV syndicates the Cleveland Orchestra, early music show Millennium of Music, and Weekend Radio. WCLV is the home station for the nationally syndicated musical theatre show Footlight Parade, produced by The Musical Theater Project.
The station began running this programming daily in the afternoon. With Select TV having collapsed, KTSF expanded its Asian offerings to evenings and overnights as well. In 1985 KTSF dropped general English entertainment programming, partly due to the fact that San Francisco had four other stations employing that format. A significant step in the station's history came in 1987 when it hired Gallup to perform the first Chinese-language consumer study ever conducted in the United States.
Logo for SIRIUS Patriot, the second conservative talk channel on Sirius. SIRIUS Patriot was initially launched in July 2004 as a companion to the now defunct SIRIUS Right, which was dropped in 2006 in favor of the Fox News Talk channel. In the 1990s, the station increased cartoons a bit and began running more recent sitcoms and drama shows. In 1996, WNDS added programming from the Global Shopping Network (GSN) overnights. In January 1997, the station began running Global Shopping Network programming 15 hours a day, with entertainment programming continuing from 3 to 11 p.m. On April 5, 1997, GSN began programming the station full- time with a 24-hour home shopping format as part of a planned purchase of the station.

Andy Bunker and former Miami Dolphins tight end Randy McMichael co-host the midday show, Carl Dukes and Mike Bell host the afternoon show, and John Chuckery hosts the evening show. CBS Sports Radio is carried overnights and weekends. WZGC is the flagship radio station for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network in the NFL and the Atlanta Hawks Radio Network in the NBANBA.
In the 1970s, talk programming would begin to occupy more of the station's schedule, with religious programming airing in overnights. In 2017, The Breeze Auckland moved away from a network product to become a fully local radio offering. All show day parts, including weekends and overnights, were now local to Auckland only - the only metro major radio brand offering this. In 2018, The Breeze launched in Timaru, Oamaru, Ashburton, and the Mackenzie Country, increasing its local footprint with a local breakfast show broadcast to the regions. On 16 April 2020, The Breeze TV launched on Freeview channel 14 and Sky channel 119.
From 3 p.m. that day until November 26, all network entertainment and commercial programming ceased on U.S. television, and as such, this coverage was one of the earliest examples of what modern television viewers commonly known as a breaking news event. Overnights included taped footage of earlier news mixed with a few breaking news items. On Sunday night, NBC broadcast continuous live coverage of mourners passing the flag-draped bier in the Capitol rotunda as an estimated 250,000 people filed by.

Farrow and Michaels had worked with GM Sandy Neri at WCRO, and worked together briefly at WJNL and WJNL-FM prior to starting Key-95. In early 2002, Westwood One's "AM Only" service - by then renamed "Adult Standards" - tweaked the format into more of an Adult Pop format similar to what WLTW New York had done back in 1984. The station still played Frank Sinatra type artists but now added more Adult Contemporary artists like Billy Joel, Lionel Richie, Elton John, as well as more songs by baby boomer artists they had been playing all along. The station began running sports programming in evenings and overnights.
In the spring of 1992, the NBC Owned Television Stations division announced that they would no longer air paid programming on their owned-and-operated stations, including WMAQ-TV. The last local infomercial aired on the station was a local weekly real estate show aired in 1992. Paid programming has since returned in a much more reduced capacity, but as an NBC O&O; with a fully-filled schedule otherwise on weekdays, is usually limited to overnights on weekends and occasional Sunday mornings.
In 2011, Gen Fricker was a National Finalist in the RAW Comedy Competition. She co-hosted Summer Up For It on FBi Radio with comedian Michael Hing over the summer break in 2011-2012. Fricker first appeared on triple j as a guest on Drive with Lindsey McDougall, on Sunday Night Safran, and as a writer/performer on Tom Ballard's Chatback sketch show. At the end of 2014, she began hosting Overnights, before joining Kyran Wheatley on Weekend Arvos in 2016.
On 3 January 2011, The Galaxy Network and The Hit Music Network merged to create Capital, with the branding of “95 – 106 Capital FM, The UK’s No.1 Hit Music Station” but the stations ID locally as [freq] Capital. Local news hours have been extended and local advertising remains locally sold. All programming, with the exception of weekday breakfast/drivetime and weekend afternoons, originates from Capital studios in Leicester Square, London. Specialist dance music programming remains on overnights excluding Sunday.
In January 1990, Tyll began hosting a nighttime talk show on WLUP (1000 AM) in Chicago. He was moved to overnights in May 1991 before being let go in October 1992. The Chicago Sun- Times noted that this was Tyll's eighth radio station in five years. Tyll spent February 1993 as a fill-in host on WJNO in West Palm Beach, Florida. In March 1993, Tyll moved to Detroit to host an overnight show at the short lived 99-5 WOW-FM.
WDMK airs syndicated programming (Joyner, Hughley, and "Love and R&B;" evenings with recording artist Al B. Sure!) in all other dayparts except overnights, which are locally automated. On June 10, 2019, Beasley Broadcast Group announced that it would acquire WDMK and the three Detroit Praise Network translators for $13.5 million. The purchase will make the station a sister to Beasley's classic hip-hop outlet WMGC-FM. The stations will continue to carry Urban One's syndicated programming under an agreement with the broadcaster.

On Wednesday August 1, 2018, Univision broadcast reruns of Cachito de Cielo weekday overnights from Tuesday to Saturday mornings at 1am/12c, replacing La fuerza del destino. The last episode was broadcast Saturday January 12, 2019 with Soy tu dueña replacing it Tuesday January 15, 2019. Pedro Fernández wrote the theme song "Cachito de Cielo" for the telenovela he starred as the protagonist and as songwriter and performer he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Regional Mexican Song in 2013.
On May 12, 2010, Sirius XM announced that The Glenn Beck Radio Program would be added to a newly merged SIRIUS XM Patriot channel. This would be the first time a program produced by Clear Channel Communications would be heard on a Sirius XM produced channel. As a result, Mike Church's show was moved to morning drive, and the Rusty Humphries show, heard on America Right at the time, would move to overnights. The channel now features a live lineup from 6am to midnight Eastern time.
The harvest by this method is fairly small as it depends more on luck; salmon are not guaranteed to bite at lures and bait, unlike the certainty in catching them while spawning. Because of this limited take, trolling is usually avoided during spawning season and only used to bring home fresh fish in the winter. Trolling is often a family event done on the weekends, and often includes overnights on board. Because of the relative inactivity in trolling, the poles are not always well-minded.

Quick Pitch is an American television show centered on showing highlights of baseball games from the previous night. Quick Pitch airs on MLB Network during the MLB regular season at 1 A.M. ET every weeknight (sometimes earlier if there are fewer than three west coast games), 8 P.M. ET every Sunday, and after Saturday Night Baseball or MLB Tonight every Saturday. Reruns of Quick Pitch are shown overnights and mornings during the regular season. The show's opening theme song is "HandClap" by Fitz and The Tantrums.
In 1982, WMUH began broadcasting for the first time at 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This was primarily accomplished with community volunteers and recently graduated ex-WMUH disc jockeys covering the overnights from 2AM - 6AM. In the 1980s, WMUH launched the station's slogan "the only station that matters," which is still in use to this day, and was a take-off on the phrase, "the only band that matters," which was used in England to describe The Clash during that period.

The Nielsen ratings system is explicitly designed for the optimum measurement of audience viewership by dayparts with prime time being of most interest. Television viewership is, in general, highest on weekday evenings, as most Americans are working time, asleep during the overnights, and out taking part in social events on weekends; thus, television has its highest audience at times when people are unlikely to be away from home. Prime time for radio is called drive time and, in Eastern and Pacific Time, is 6–10a.m.

Roland Perry at age 22, began his writing career on The Age from January 1969 to June 1973. In that time he finished an Economics Degree at Monash University while also studying the subjects 'Law Affecting Journalism', and 'Journalism' at Melbourne University. He won the Exhibition Prize in Journalism at Melbourne in 1969, and was awarded the Frederick Blackham Scholarship Award. Perry told ABC Radio's 'Australia Overnights' program on 16 August 2008 that he was 'fortunate to have strong mentors at the beginning of my career.
'I wanted to broaden my writing skills,' he told 'Overnights' host Trevor Chappell, 'and applied everywhere for a job. I landed a position as the International Wool Secretariat's film's officer [in London]. This led to me working as a producer, script-writer and on-camera interviewer with some exceptional feature and documentary writers, including Tony Maylam and Jack Grossman.' Grossman was involved with 'Arts for Labour' (the UK Labour Party) under Neil Kinnock in his bid to unseat Margaret Thatcher as UK Prime Minister.
Live with Kelly and Ryan, Right This Minute, Bob's Burgers (a rarity for a Big Three network affiliate), Hot Bench and Extra are among the station's syndicated offerings. Beginning in the 2015–2016 television season, the station also began carrying The List, which along with RightThisMinute, is among Scripps' internally produced programming for their stations (RTMs presence on WKBW predated Scripps buying the station). The station has begun to carry bartered Entertainment Studios programming in overnights since the purchase by Scripps, replacing hours of paid programming.
When NBC dropped that service in 1977, WSOC remained all-news, adding local news personnel in the process. Popular newscasters on WSOC in those days included Jim Cundiff (air name Jim David) and the first female news director in North Carolina Leslie Wolfe (who married Cundiff while they worked as the morning drive news co-anchor team). Overnights, the station carried The Larry King Show from the Mutual Broadcasting System, and eventually Mutual's radio newscasts found their way into the daytime news programming of the station.
In Shawn's teenage years, he started DJing at a local teen center after school and on weekend nights. He then got introduced to radio by his soon to be Step-Father and learned the ropes of an "on-air jock" at WKBG-FM in Hallstead, Pennsylvania. While in his early high school years, he was asked to come to WTLQ-FM in Pittston, Pennsylvania for overnights on weekends and help with promotions. Shawn also started DJing at a roller rink in Dallas, Pennsylvania at the same time.
The True Oldies format had experienced significant growth in exposure following cost- cutting measures across Citadel's payroll since the company's acquisition of ABC Radio Networks (and some of its O&O; stations) from Disney. Lower performing stations owned by Citadel Broadcasting, such as WYAY (now K-Love owned & operated WAKL) Atlanta, were switched over to True Oldies, sometimes with Imus in the Morning as the morning show. WLS-FM Chicago, however, only ran True Oldies Channel overnights and weekends with a similar local oldies format weekdays.

Channel 13 was later sold to Anchor Media in 1987, which in turn was later sold to River City Broadcasting in 1993. WLOS signed off on weeknights until the debut of World News Now in January 1992, when its sign- offs were scaled back to late Friday and Saturday overnights before being reduced further to Saturday mornings from 5:00 to 6:00 a.m., after the station's weekend overnight movie presentations, in the early 2000s.
Tickets for the Woodstock 50 festival were supposed to go on sale on April 22, 2019, but no tickets were made available on that date. At that date, the organizers had yet to receive a mass gathering permit from the New York State Department of Health. A New York state health regulation forbids advertising for large, overnights events that do not have a permit, which delayed the sale of tickets. A mass gathering permit for the festival had been submitted on April 15 but the Department of Health had not approved it at that time.

In 2004, B104.7's Ron and Becky received a CMA Award for "Personality of the Year" for a US Medium Market.
KAND (1340 AM) is a radio station that serves the Corsicana - Ennis - Waxahachie area, and is owned by New Century Broadcasting. This station runs a country music format, and is also the home of Corsicana High School Tigers and Navarro College Bulldogs football games, and the latest news from the Texas State Network News, and CBS News. As of July 11, 2008, it airs sports programming from Fox Sports Radio during overnights and weekends. For many years, the KAND call sign was assigned to the station now called KWPW.
On April 5, 2000, KBOB moved to 104.9 MHz, usurping that frequency's adult contemporary format. 99.7 MHz then adopted its current Top 40 format and "B100" branding; Robb Rose was the first program director. The station's first line-up included Rose and Julia Bradley in the morning, Jeff James in middays, Steve Fuller in the afternoon drive-time, Brandon Marshall in the evening and Rachel in overnights. The station quickly gained a following, cutting into the ratings of the Quad-Cities market's dominant Top 40 station, "All-Hit 98.9" (WHTS-FM).
In 1998, KSFM was bought by Infinity Broadcasting Corporation, which had already been acquired by Westinghouse Broadcasting. Westinghouse merged with CBS Radio shortly thereafter. Under CBS Radio ownership, the KSFM lineup featured programming director Tony Tecate in mornings, Bre in middays, Short-E in afternoons, Nina in evenings and The Specialist overnights. Featured programs included Club 102 with The Specialist on Friday and Saturday nights. In January 2010, KSFM's Arbitron ratings stood at a 3.1 share for persons ages 12 and over — the lowest since the Spring 1979 report, when the station aired progressive rock.
In January 2007, Clear Channel sold its six Santa Barbara stations, including KSBL, to Rincon Broadcasting LLC for $17.3 million. Rincon, a subsidiary of Ventura-based Point Broadcasting, officially took control of the cluster on January 16. , KSBL airs the syndicated programs Delilah nightly and Intelligence for Your Life, hosted by John Tesh, overnights. On September 10, 2018, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) granted KSBL a construction permit, good for three years, to start transmitting from a facility atop Santa Cruz Island with a directional 1,650-watt signal, and licensed to Isla Vista, California.
In late Summer 2005, The Peak changed its call letters to WSRT, which stands for "Soft Rock and Talk". Northern Radio also consolidated their operations, moving the station from its long-time home in a converted Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses to their Traverse City studios. All the local jocks the station has are now based in the Traverse City area. When the station flipped to AC, they also trimmed their airstaff since mornings and nights/overnights were all satellite-fed by Bob and Sheri and Delilah respectively.
The original line-up included Roby Yonge and John Emm in mornings, Larry McKay in middays, future Power 96 jock Donnie "Cox On The Radio" Cox in afternoons, with Davey O'Donnell in nights, and Eric Rhoads on the overnights. Weekends included Bill Christie and Kevin Malloy. Bill Tanner was later hired as the midday personality and assistant Program Director, and later promoted to program director and moved to the morning show. Several months after signing on, the call letters were changed from WLQY to WHYI following complaints from crosstown competitor at what was 96.3 WMYQ.
Chuck Dann and KLIF (1190 AM)/Dallas morning duo Charlie and Harrigan (Jack Woods and Paul Menard) signed on. Jim Gallant was doing overnights. In late 1966, popular afternoon host Jerry G also decided to follow Draper to WCFL; upon his departure, he added the last name "Bishop", and later created the TV horror host persona Svengoolie. He was replaced by WIXY's evening man Jack Armstrong, who then decided to call himself "Big Jack, Your Leader"; LaBarbara was moved to overnight to accommodate Armstrong's installation as the evening jock.
The Salem Radio Network provides most of the station's weekday programming, with shows hosted by Hugh Hewitt (morning drive), Mike Gallagher (late mornings), Dennis Prager (middays), Jay Sekulow (evenings), Larry Elder (evenings), Eric Metaxas and Sebastian Gorka (late nights) and Dan Proft (overnights). Other national weekday programming includes The Sean Hannity Show in late afternoons (via Premiere Networks) and This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal in early mornings (via Compass Media Networks). Weekend programming also includes syndicated shows hosted by John Catsimatidis, Rudy Maxa and Frank Gaffney.
With Edwards' 1986 move to sister station Power 106 Los Angeles, Coop with help from Neal Kelly had taken a greater production role at the station. With the move to overnights, Coop was replaced in production by Tammy Warner. After the death of Tim McKee, Munson was joined in mornings by Mark Patrick. Known as "Them Guys in the Morning," the show failed to gain traction against WFBQ's Bob and Tom show, and Munson left the station for a career in law and politics in the fall of 1986.
"Arachnids in the UK" was watched by 6.43 million viewers overnight, a share of 29.3% of the total TV audience, making it the second- highest overnight viewership for the night, and third for the week on overnights across all channels. The episode had an Audience Appreciation Index score of 83. It received an official total of 8.22 million viewers across all UK channels, making it the 4th most watched programme of the week. In the United States, the broadcast on BBC America had 900,000 viewers for the night.

Jim Rome's weekday afternoon show and network programming from Fox Sports Radio on weekend afternoons and daily overnights rounded out the lineup. Sunday mornings [1993-2008] the station aired another local show, Computers 2K Now w/ Amnon Nissan.
Tourism plays a vital role and the Montafon is famous for skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. A main road, the Silvretta high alpine road (German: Hochalpenstraße) gives access to the remote ski areas that are located on a sea-level between 650 and 1430m. The construction of the Montafon Railway in 1905 helped also into bringing around 2 million overnights to the region each year. There are 5 ski areas Golm, Silvretta Montafon, Gargellen, Silbertal-Kristberg and Silvretta- Bielerhöhe with 60 ski lifts and 225 km ski slopes in this area.
In 2009, the Padres simulcast was moved to AM 1700 XEPE. On October 6, 2010, XX 1090 became a part-time affiliate of ESPN Radio, simulcasting sister station XEPE 1700 overnights and weekends, dropping the Sporting News Radio affiliation XEPRS held since 2008. The Mighty 1090 previous logo used from 2012 to 2015 XEPRS has also carried San Diego Toreros men's basketball, San Diego State Aztecs college football and basketball, and the San Diego Gulls AHL hockey, and has aired a few games for the Anaheim Ducks, the Gulls' parent club.
Most shows contained a healthy dose of bickering. McAlister left the show in 1997 for the film industry in LA; he went on to direct the feature You're Gonna Miss Me as well as music videos for Spoon and Old 97's. Venable, who worked late nights, overnights, and weekends, was promoted to Music Director at 102.1 The Edge in 2006 but was laid off in 2007 due to budget constraints at Clear Channel. He found a job at 98.7FM KYSR in Los Angeles doing "afternoon drive" from 2 pm–7 pm.

He then presented weekday mornings at Nation Radio before leaving to work at the then recently rebranded Absolute Radio, previously known as Virgin Radio. He joined on 27 September 2008 presenting over nights Lake had his contract at Absolute Radio terminated in April 2009, just 7 months into the life of the new station and Lake's tenure on overnights. The broadcaster was censured by OFCOM for promoting e-cigarettes sent by a manufacturer and was noted to have constantly referred to the product on air.
On January 13, 1998, WSJN-TV changed its callsign to the current WJPX, after Paxson Communications purchased the station. On August 31, 1998, WJPX, along with the rest of the Paxson stations, premiered the new Pax TV television network, with a programming mix of infomercials, off-network reruns labeled as "family entertainment", and The Worship Network during overnights. WJPX was later owned by LIN TV, which branded the station MTV. At that time, the station broadcast MTV programs (both locally produced and imported from the main MTV network), videos and horse races.
Weekends featured a mix of movies, some older drama series and talk shows during the morning hours, and sports during the afternoons and evenings. Overnights consisted of old low-budget films and film shorts, and music as part of a show called Night Flight. Between 1984 and 1986, USA's programming focus began shifting away from sports, and shifted towards general entertainment programs not found on broadcast stations, including some less common network drama series and cartoons. For the 1985-1986 season, the channel had 4 hours of original and exclusive shows.
WMC-FM personalities include: the morning team of Ryan Anderson and Michelle Lewis; Sheryl Stewart middays; Chris Michaels afternoons; Chase Daniels evenings; and Bennett Doyle overnights. WMC-FM also carries the Rick Dees Weekly Top 40, syndicated via Compass Media Networks, on weekends. Many of the station's air personalities worked there for a decade or longer. Most notably, Ron "Hey Now" Olson had been the station's morning host since the 1980s, partnered with Steve Conley for some of that time, until leaving the station to join co-owned WRVR.
By 1989, Jones & Joan had gained a large following, finishing only second to WPRO's legendary Salty Brine. On Saturday, June 5, 1993, tragedy struck WSNE as longtime midday host Mike Sands was killed in an automobile accident while on his way to a station remote in Swansea, Massachusetts. The station paid tribute to Sands the following Monday with phone calls from listeners, former co-workers and personalities from other stations. Program Director Steve Peck and Jim Halfyard would split Sands' shift after his death, with Ken Cole on evenings and Amy Hawkins (later known as Amy Navarro) joining the station for overnights.
Hostelling International celebrated its 80th Anniversary in 2012, with the first International Conference being held in the YMCA hotel in Amsterdam on 20 October 1932. 11 National Associations were present at this Conference and agreement was reached on a standard international pattern for membership cards and on minimum standards for the equipment and supervision of Youth Hostels. Founders had a strong desire that by working together Associations could assist international youth travel and pave the way for new and peaceful migration of people. Since 1946 the HI network of Youth Hostels has recorded over 1.6 billion overnights.
The frequency originally was WBUK "Oldies 107.5 The Big Buck", signing on in 1991. The oldies format moved to 106.3 in Ottawa, Ohio in August 2002 (originally WPNM) with the new active rock format and the WZRX calls in place also since 2002. Phil Austin was the first program director of "The X", which was launched to serve the large active rock audience in Lima. In the fall of 2002, WZRX debuted with Bob and Tom in the Morning, Mike Edwards in Midday, Dave Crosser in afternoons, Eric Michaels at night and Jim O'Reilly (Now Jimmy The Governor) overnights.
Geological Park Iskar–Panega is an UNESCO-run Geopark in Northern Bulgaria, located 3 km south of the municipal centre Lukovit. It consists of two sections: the Karlukovo Karst Complex () lies in the valley of the Iskar River, while the Roadside Landscape Park "Panega" () is at the Zlatna Panega valley. Started in 2006, it became the first geopark in Bulgaria, and created temporary employment for 20 previously unemployed people. Another economic effect was that the number of overnights at main lodging facilities in Lukovit increased by 40%, and the number of visits to the city and region rose significantly.
Marlhy Murphy (born June 29, 2002), is an American musician, actress, television personality and internet personality. For her solo music, she goes by the mononym Marlhy. She has worked with bands such as The Regrettes, Pretty Little Demons, Zeppos, We're Not Dudes, and Purple Hats and Jetpacks. She is the youngest performer to ever perform at South by Southwest, and has appeared in Kids React, Nickelodeon's React to That, Amazon's A History of Radness, 2010's The Key, 2014's The Social Worker, 2011's The Great Clubhouse Rescue, 2017’s Flunky's Upset, and 2018’s Overnights.
Guy's wife Googie was infrequently mentioned and never seen. He also had two sons named Ricky and Sonny (played by Rick Moranis and Eugene Levy) and a daughter Connie (played by Andrea Martin). Guy at one point had an affair with SCTV star Lola Heatherton, but broke it off, later explaining (using network ratings terms) "it was doing poorly in the overnights". Guy Caballero was originally a character heard only over the phone in two first-season SCTV episodes aired in 1977 (both times, he called Moe Green while on the air to complain about Moe's show "Dialing For Dollars").
The original Talk Radio started in February 1995 using the AM wavelengths previously occupied by BBC Radio 1 (1053/1089 kHz). It saw a number of different presenters host shows in its first two years but settled down to a regular schedule with presenters such as Scott Chisholm, Anna Raeburn, Tommy Boyd and Mike Dickin. It failed to make sufficient revenue and in the late 1990s introduced sports output which increased. In 2000 the station changed its name to Talksport and almost all programming was of a sporting nature other than overnights and the mid-morning show.
The series ten finale was first transmitted on BBC One on Sunday, 23 October 2011 from 9 pm. According to preliminary overnight figures, the finale was seen by 5.13 million viewers, with an 18.4 per cent audience share. As far as overnights are concerned, ratings for Spooks saw a significant increase of 750,000 from episode five, and over half a million higher from the series premiere. However, as in other episodes of the last series, the final episode was again trounced in the same slot by an episode of the ITV1 period drama Downton Abbey, which was seen by almost nine million.

Taped coverage using the world feed is aired in primetime and overnights on Tennis Channel and is branded Wimbledon Primetime. In Canada, coverage of Wimbledon is exclusively carried by TSN and RDS, which are co-owned by Bell Media and ESPN. Prior to 2012, CBC Television and SRC were the primary broadcaster of Wimbledon for Canada, and its live coverage of the tournament predated "Breakfast at Wimbledon" by over a decade, Canada being at least four hours from its fellow Commonwealth realm. In Mexico, the Televisa family of networks has aired Wimbledon since the early 1960s.
A local trip along the entire line takes about 40 minutes. Trains run from approximately 5:00 am to 1:00 am, with a timed-transfer at 12:30 am at City Hall station to connect with the Broad Street Line based on final trains. The Market-Frankford Owl bus service replaces the subway throughout the night Monday through Friday mornings, stopping at the same locations as the subway trains. The line itself ran 24 hours a day until it was eliminated in 1991; it was reinstated on June 20, 2014 for Friday and Saturday overnights only on a trial basis.
Pete joined Nottingham Trent University’s student radio station, Fly FM, in 2009 and was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2010 Student Radio Awards. He was shortlisted in The Hits Radio’s Stars of 2011 talent search and later joined the station. Later that year, he was twice nominated at the 2011 Student Radio Awards. He went on to win Gold for Best Male Presenter and Bronze for Best Entertainment Programme. He then joined Q Radio’s weekend schedule and began covering weekend overnights across the Bauer network on stations including Key 103, Radio City and Hallam FM.
WDAY'Z Xtra is a digital subchannel carried on WDAY 6.3, WDAZ 8.3, KBMY 17.3, and KMCY 14.3, airing as a secondary affiliation to MyNetworkTV on KBMY and KMCY but without interruption on WDAY- TV and WDAZ-TV.⁴ This subchannel airs syndicated programming, North Dakota and Minnesota high school sports, North Dakota high school state tournaments, Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletics, ACC football and basketball and select University of North Dakota athletic events. It airs Doppler weather radar and "Storm Tracker" weather loop with easy listening music during overnights. It is offered on Midco cable channel 596 and Sparklight channel 29.
In 2006, the station added some local air personalities who were previously at WJMK when it was an oldies station. Eventually, the station was live and local (which included hosts such as John Landecker, Dick Biondi, and Greg Brown) except for overnights, when they would continue to run True Oldies Channel programming. In 2007, Walt Disney Company sold its ABC Radio radio division, including WLS (AM) and WZZN, to Citadel Broadcasting. From 2007 to 2008, the oldies format was modified to include a small amount of 1980s' hits and a focus on oldies from 1964 to 1979.
AIDAmira as Costa neoRiviera in Casablanca, 2019. In August 2013, Costa Cruises announced that Grand Mistral would be transferred to Costa Cruises, effectively cancelling the South American itineraries from Santos, Brazil operated by Ibero Cruises. Costa reportedly invested €10 million into transforming the ship to integrate it into its fleet. A month later, Costa announced that the transferred ship, which would be renamed Costa neoRiviera, would take a central role in launching a new sub-product that would focus on smaller ships with longer port calls, more overnights, and new exotic locales among its offered itineraries.
After 14 years, in 1999, the station changed its name and format to "W Radical", directed by the former head of "Rock 101", Luis Gerardo Salas, airing electronic music and eurodance. By 2001, it returned to its former WFM format with the slogan "Frecuencia Adictiva", but in late 2002, after the association of Televisa Radio and PRISA, it was decided to simulcast the same programming on AM and FM, and thus XEW-FM became a news and talk outlet, albeit musical programming can still be heard on overnights and weekends when there are not sports scheduled.
From 1984 to 1996 WABC broadcast the popular Bob Grant, a controversial, early "right-wing" talk radio host. After years of what many considered inflammatory remarks, he was fired in 1996 for a controversial comment regarding the death of United States Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown. After a number of years at competitor station WOR, Grant returned as a host as of July 2007, was removed again in December 2008, and returned again as a weekend host in September 2009. Alan Colmes would leave in 1985 and by 1987 he emerged at WNBC on overnights, where he played moderate amounts of music there.
Throughout most of the day on weekdays, KFMJ's programming is a satellite feed of Citadel Media's "Classic Hits" network (formerly ABC Radio) with the exception of their live, local morning and afternoon drive shows and Coast To Coast AM overnights. Citadel has hired many new jocks for their satellite feed programming, replacing many of ABC Radio's personalities. Their new weekday lineup includes Maria Danza from 2am-6am, Dave Michaels from 9am-11am, Steve Gunn from 11am-4pm and 'Smokin' Kevin Browning from 6pm-9pm. Coast To Coast AM with host George Noory is aired on weeknights from 9pm-2am.
Originally, WITN-DT2 served as a 24-hour local weather channel. It picked up MyNetworkTV on September 28, 2009 after the area's Ion Television owned-and- operated station WEPX-TV, channel 38 (and its full-time satellite, WPXU-TV, channel 35) dropped the programming service. At that point, local weather programming was reduced to overnights and mornings while syndicated offerings made up the rest of WITN-DT2's schedule. A further addition to that service occurred April 18, 2011 when it added MeTV and dropped all remaining weather- related programming with the new network taking up most of the weekend and daytime schedule.
The station's overnight DJ, Shawn Michaels, died of a drunk driving accident shortly before the conversion to overnight satellite, though it is unknown if his firing from the station had anything to do with it. WCCW-FM now once again has live and local personalities during much of the day on Saturday and Sunday, although it continues to air Citadel Media's "Greatest Mojo" programming ABC overnights and during some non- critical weekend dayparts. In 2004, WCCW-FM added a new sister station, 6 kW WCZW 107.9 in Charlevoix, which brings WCCW's programming also to the Petoskey area.

WHOW places special emphasis on serving the farm community of Central Illinois with a weekday morning farm show, live and local agriculture talk shows, a syndicated noon farm show, "The Horse Show", and frequent market reports. Weekday syndicated talk programming includes Michael Medved, Jim Bohannon, Larry Elder and Red Eye Radio overnights. On weekends, WHOW carries CBS Sports Radio programming, along with a Saturday morning farm show, local Clinton High School football and basketball games, and afternoon blocks of classic country music.
Chappell hosts the Overnights program Australia-wide on Monday to Thursday mornings (Rod Quinn hosts the program on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings) from 2:00 am to 6:00 am AEST (midnight to 4:00 am AWST). South Australia and Northern Territory have their feed delayed 30 minutes to enable it to be broadcast in the same local time slot. The program features a "How, When, Where, Why" quiz on minutiae of pop culture: television, popular music, movies, comic books etc., which stimulates discussions within that framework, with only occasional excursions into real life events.
KMBR shifted the emphasis to "Montana's Best Rock", featuring core artists such as Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, AC/DC, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more. The original mainstays were Uncle Dave Levin in the mornings, the ArchMan with the "Power Lunch" from 10a - 3p, and Robin Taylor (later Robin Jordan) with afternoons. Currently KMBR features "The Brian and Chris Show" in the Mornings, Middays with Carin Sullivan, The Rock Show with Tommy O during PM drive, Nights with Alice Cooper followed by jock-free rock in the overnights. The station carries the syndicated programs Flashback and Breakfast with the Beatles.
CING began to phase out its oldies programming in the fall of 1989 with the addition of dance music programming ("Rhythm Radio") in evenings and overnights; the station continued with its soft AC/MOR format during the rest of the day on weekdays, as "Daytime Lite and Rhythm at Nite." Oldies programming was relegated to Saturdays. The last oldies show on FM 108, hosted by Dale Patterson, aired on September 29, 1990. "Daytime Lite" ended on September 2, 1991, and the dance format expanded full-time (first as "Dance 108", and then to "Energy 108" in the mid-1990s).
WAAM's current schedule features nationally syndicated conservative talk show hosts Glenn Beck, Brian Kilmeade, Joe Pags and Alex Jones as well as Coast-to-Coast AM overnights. In addition, the weekday lineup features local host Thayrone's On the Edge with Thayrone afternoon drive. Local hosts include Trigger Talk with Dick Cupka, The Abolitionist Roundtable, The American Dream, The Drift with Gary Wellings, and Operation Freedom with Dr. Dave Janda. The Saturday night music lineup features two hour program segments by show hosts covering blues, rhythm and blues, rock, doo wop, country, oldies, rockabilly and the British invasion.
Weekday programming includes: The Rickey Smiley Morning Show, airing in morning drive in a simulcast with WZAK; and Keepin' it Real with Al Sharpton airing middays and replayed late nights; both shows are syndicated from Reach Media. Local program America's Work Force, hosted by Ed "Flash" Ferenc, airs in afternoon drive and is replayed late evenings. WERE also airs various paid and brokered programming throughout the day as well. Weekend programming includes syndicated talk shows Keep Hope Alive with Jesse Jackson Sunday nights (from Premiere Networks), Red Eye Radio from Westwood One overnights, and various ethnic programming on Sundays.
Capital stations based in Central Scotland and Birmingham produced and transmitted specialist output for the network on Saturday and Sunday overnights respectively. However, in July 2012, this was replaced with content from 95.8 Capital studios in Leicester Square, London, where all the networked programming is now produced. Breakfast and drive-time shows on weekdays and weekend afternoons are produced and broadcast from local stations' studios. Capital also broadcasts via a number of DAB ensembles that do not correspond with a local FM station, and as an audio channel on the Digital Terrestrial Television and Digital Satellite platforms.
By 1981, the decision was made to drop news and talk programming on WSOC, and the station went to an Adult standards music format ("The music that never goes out of style"). In an effort to retain its heritage, but differentiate the station from its Country-formatted sister station WSOC-FM, the station was branded in slogans and jingles as "AM 93-WSOC". The Larry King Show was retained overnights, and was joined for a time by a network sports-talk operation called Enterprise Radio. Popular announcers during this time included Jim Hutton, Ed Ross, Jim Wall and Mike Sheridan.
In the Spring of 1986, Joey Reynolds moved into afternoons with a talk- intensive show playing six songs an hour. Wolfman Jack was dropped in overnights in favor of various weekend announcers playing the regular AC rotation. Weekends had Bill Grundfest doing a talk intensive show a few hours each day playing six songs an hour. Despite these changes, by the fall of 1986, WNBC was in a ratings crisis. At approximately 4:42 PM on October 22, 1986, the station's "N-Copter" traffic helicopter crashed into the Hudson River, killing traffic reporter Jane Dornacker and severely injuring pilot Bill Pate.
WVIT began operating WRDM under a local marketing agreement on January 1, 2018 from WVIT's studios in West Hartford; WRDM later entered into a channel sharing agreement with WVIT. ZGS had sold WRDM's spectrum in the FCC's incentive auction for $10,574,516 and indicated that the station would enter into a post-auction channel sharing agreement. One immediate effect of the sale was the end of a brokered programming arrangement to carry English language Jewelry TV programming in overnights for Telemundo's regular overnight schedule, along with the addition of a Connecticut-specific part of the website for WNEU in place of the former WRDM website.
Radio Insight "Jelli to LMA Two Las Vegas Area Stations" Jelli was also part of a partnership with Austereo, involving a station called Hot 30 Jelli, which was launched on November 1, 2009. The station was then renamed to Choose The Hits on February 1, 2010. It was broadcast online, on DAB and overnights on 2Day FM in Sydney, Fox FM in Melbourne, B105 in Brisbane, SAFM in Adelaide and 92.9 in Perth between 10:15pm and midnight on Monday to Thursday nights. The Austereo partnership was terminated effective May 24, 2010, and Jelli is no longer being carried on the air in Australia.
The new operators had taken control by mid-September. Charlie Day had departed for WCBS-FM NYC just prior to this sale, and Program Director Gil David had taken over morning duties, followed by 'Gary T' middays and Bob Dayton pm drive time. (Dayton had been on-air at WABC from 1963 to 1965, but had lost his job after the legendary "Hiroshima" incident, later working in Los Angeles radio before returning east.) 7-midnight was hosted by Glenn Turnbull with Dick Farrell on overnights. Weekends were covered by the weekday staff except the Saturday - Sunday 6pm - Midnight shift which was hosted by Joseph M. 'Joe' Calisi.
She was born in Detroit, Michigan, and grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan. Her first professional radio job using her maiden name Cara Stern was at 95.3 "The New Foxy 95" WCFX in Clare, Michigan while attending college at Central Michigan University. She was hired as a weekend overnight/fill-in personality at WCFX in 1986 and was soon promoted to weekend middays (10 am – 3 pm), then full-time evenings (7 pm – midnight) and eventually middays (10 am – 2 pm) and Production Director. In 1989, using the stage name Cara Simms on air, she began hosting overnights at 103.9 WABT "The Wabbit" in Dundee, Illinois.
KQIC (Q102) in Minnesota is one of four stations in the Lakeland Broadcasting Group, which includes KOLV ("100.1 BIG Country"), KLFN ("106.5 The Train"), and KWLM ("News/Talk 1340"). Beginning in March of 2020, the weekday lineup has included Eric Grieger on overnights, Tim Burns and Kyle Callaghan on mornings, MaryElin Macht on middays, Jay Roberts on afternoon drive, and Molly Penny on evenings. During the workday, dayparts are supplemented with news updates from J.P. Cola and hourly sports updates from Todd Bergeth, as well as agricultural news from the Linder Farm Network. KQIC airs syndicated programs Backtrax USA, American Top 40 and the Beacon every Sunday.
The movies and series channels were all renamed and recategorised. Canal+ Film 1 became "Canal+ First", specialized in new movies, as well as series and Canal+ Film 2 was replaced by "Canal+ Hits", specialized in classic and old movies. Canal+ Film 3 and Canal+ Mix were renamed "Canal+ Action", specialized in action movies and series and "Canal+ Drama", specialized in TV shows and movies related to drama and romantic and were joined by Canal+ Comedy which broadcasts movies in different genres. Canal+ Sport 1 and 2 kept their names but were joined by Canal+ Sport Extra which time-shared overnights with Canal 69, specialized in pornographic movies.
On March 6, 1978, Chattanooga State Technical Community College applied for a construction permit to build a new radio station on 91.5 FM at Signal Mountain, Tennessee, broadcasting with 137 watts. The Federal Communications Commission approved the permit on March 13, 1979, and WCSO began broadcasting in September 1980. WCSO was a typical college radio station; it did not begin broadcasting overnights until 1985, when it started airing a tape loop of nature sounds at night. The off-hours programming developed a cult following with listeners, including a prison inmate who wrote to the station to say that the programming had helped him not go crazy.
WCCW logo as "Oldies 107.5"In 1996, the Fabianos sold WCCW Radio to Ross Biederman for $3 million, who made drastic improvements to the stations. He moved the stations out of the old Michigan Theatre building on Front St. to a Today Show-esque window studio next in the former Midwestern Cablevision building next door to WTCM. He also bought the FM station a new TM Century music collection disc set, ending the station's relationship with vinyl and tape carts. One criticism Biederman received since buying WCCW was the fact that the station, once live and local 24/7, started using ABC's "OldiesRadio" (formerly "Pure Gold") feed for overnights and weekends.
Overnights also eventually became devoted to paid programming."Back from Basic," from BusinessTN, September/October 2009 The network has also featured originally produced horror film showcases such as Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In"Wolfman Mac interview", from Outsight Radio Hours, 3/27/2011 and Off Beat Cinema; Retro also aired the talk show Daytime produced by WFLA-TV's Riverbank Studios in Tampa, Florida, co-hosted by Jerry Penacoli and Cyndi Edwards. Until 2011, Retro offered a customized schedule for use at the discretion of the local affiliate. The network then moved towards a set national schedule, although affiliates have the option to pre- empt or reschedule some network programming.
Jimmy Barrett and Shara Fryer host the station's morning-drive news program, Houston's Morning News. Michael Berry, who hosts a regionally syndicated program based out of KTRH, airs in late mornings and again in early evenings; The Rush Limbaugh Show and The Sean Hannity Show (both syndicated via Premiere Networks) air in early and late afternoons, respectively. The Mark Levin Show (syndicated via Westwood One) and Our American Stories with Lee Habeeb air in late evenings, while Coast to Coast AM (via Premiere) airs in overnights. This Morning, America's First News with Gordon Deal (via Compass Media Networks) airs in the early morning hours.
At this point in its run, the syndicated Feud had been dealing with a consistent ratings downturn for several years. Although the series was initially able to secure time frames in desirable hours such as the Prime Time Access hour, stations quickly found that other programming, such as tabloid news magazine programs such as A Current Affair, Inside Edition and Hard Copy were drawing higher ratings and thus sought those shows to replace Feud. Some stations dropped the syndicated Feud outright, while others relocated it to lower-rated time frames such as overnights. The decline eventually resulted in the ratings bottoming out in 1992–93.
By April 1999, the station had evolved into more of a mainstream top 40 format and was eating away at its adult-leaning top 40 competitor WKQI. The lineup became Jay Towers in the morning, Su-Anna and Dave Fuller middays, Lisa Lisa in the afternoon, Tic Tak (Mark Allen) at night, and Eric Chase on overnights. By the final quarter of 2001, both WDRQ and WKQI were leaning very heavily toward Rhythmic CHR. For a time, WDRQ consistently defeated WKQI in the ratings, but after Clear Channel re-launched WKQI as Channel 9-5-5 in February 2002, WKQI retook the lead over WDRQ, garnering both larger ratings and revenue.
On May 20, 2010, the station changed its call sign to WKYI-CD, denoting its status as a class A digital television station. Logo for the station's This TV affiliation In January 2015, WKYI-CD took over the affiliation of This TV on 24.2 in place of WAVE, which was required by a company-wide agreement to offer the new male- focused subchannel Grit instead. This programming is mainly carried in the mornings, primetime and overnights on the station rather than the full 24/7 service. The station changed its call sign to WBKI-CD on December 27, 2017, and to WMYO-CD on February 12, 2018.
In the mid-1990s KGHM aired an Urban Contemporary format in the evenings and overnights as "The Groove 1340". In 2000, Clear Channel Communications went into an agreement with Perry Broadcasting to broadcast KVSP/1140 and its Urban format (See KRMP) on 1340 KEBC from 7 pm−7 am as "The Power Jammin' Network" after AM 1140 signed off at sunset. Between 7am-7pm KGHM aired Regional Mexican programming directed at Oklahoma City's Mexican-American community. The agreement between Clear Channel and Perry Broadcasting discontinued when Perry purchased KRPT/103.5 in Anadarko, Oklahoma (See KVSP) and upgraded the station to target Oklahoma City, then moved KVSP's Urban format to the FM dial.
The coverage was nonetheless quite low for a Big Three television network, with a June 17 prime-time regular season game between Chicago and Birmingham finishing as the lowest-rated prime time broadcast of the week, with a 4.8 rating.As for the ratings, the two semifinal playoff games drew a so-so 5.0 and 5.9, and the championship pulled overnights of 7.4 in New York, 8.7 in Chicago and 9.9 in Los Angeles, disappointing for prime time. On Black Friday, June 17, ABC aired a prime-time game between Chicago and Birmingham. It finished 72nd out of 72 shows that week with a rating of 4.8, the worst prime-time number of the year.
In June 2007, Hendrie announced he was returning to the airwaves at Talk Radio Network, starting almost exactly a year from the day of his retirement (June 25) in a later time slot (10 PM-1 AM PT). This show's format was talk radio commentary, covering political issues and news headlines of the day. Hendrie's mock guests returned to the show after a few weeks, but they did not interact with callers. Within a month of the show's relaunch, Hendrie's show had already achieved forty affiliates, although in one notable instance Brian Maloney reported that in Boston, Hendrie affiliate WTKK saw its listenership drop 91% in the overnights after Hendrie started airing in the slot.
The main result of the project was the development of the first Geopark in Bulgaria encompassing different natural and historical landmarks located on the territory of the Municipality of Lukovit. As a result of the project the development of the municipality as tourist destination is a fact, geotourism was promoted as a factor for socio- economic development, the competitiveness of the tourist industry in the region and the attractiveness of this natural heritage tourism area were raised. As a result of project activities a temporary employment was ensured for 20 unemployed people, the number of overnights at main lodging facilities increased (with over 40%) and the number of visits of the city and the region rose significantly.
This was followed a month later with a deal to carry University of Maine sports; as a result, WVII and WFVX replace WABI-TV as the television flagship of the Black Bear Sports Network. As part of the deal, Black Bear sports telecasts will also be seen on Fox College Sports, and production will be handled by Pack Network (WABI had produced its telecasts in-house). In early September 2017, WVII replaced their long-time version of the commonly-used Circle 7 logo from ABC (used among their channel 7 stations) with a different logo variation made up of a block number "7". Both stations carry Jewelry Television programming overnights, thus preempting ABC's World News Now on WVII.
The station was re-branded as Capital Scotland on 3 January 2011 as part of a merger of Global's Galaxy and Hit Music networks to form the nine-station Capital network.Global Radio takes Capital national, Brand Republic, 13 September 2010 Local breakfast and drivetime output was retained with most networked programming now broadcast from the network's London studios. The station also produced a networked dance music show on Saturday overnights, which was networked across the Capital network until July 2012.July 2012 blog Mash On 1 July 2011, Global requested to change the formats of Capital Birmingham and Capital Scotland which have obligations from previous owners, enabling all nine Capital stations to fall inline.
It was very successful for its time although it lasted just two years. Super Station was locally programmed by multi-market PD (and former WVIP-AM-FM PD) Al Matthews (middays) with an air staff that included Gary Peters, Ray Graff and John Chipman (mornings), Cutler Whitman and Chris Cimmino (afternoons), APD/MD Jim Hartman (nights), Langdon Towne (overnights) and weekenders Jed Taylor, Alix Bragga, Colleen Brown, KC Kressu, Kyle Kelley, Steve Maiolo, Bobby West, Tim Court, Paul Hoch, Chris Todaro, Jim McCannon, Mike Cannavaro and Rob Deldin. The news department was headed by ND Janice Berliner (mornings), Jennifer Fogarty and Greg Messinger (afternoons). Morning and afternoon traffic reports were handled by Kyle Kelley and Steve Maiolo.
The station first signed on the air on March 7, 1989 as W53AV, broadcasting on UHF channel 53; founded by Hoosier Radio and TV, it was branded on-air as either "WAV53" or as "Hoosier TV 53". The station aired a variety of programming including public domain movies and Major League Baseball games from the Cincinnati Reds; it also carried the wrestling program ECW Hardcore TV on Sunday evenings. For a brief period in the early 1990s, the station served as an affiliate of the defunct Network One, and during the mid-1990s carried music programming (primarily in the overnights) from MuchUSA (now Fuse). Local personality Bill Shirk also hosted certain programs seen on the station.
John Osterlind (born 10 March 1967) is an American radio broadcaster. Osterlind was born in Norwalk, Connecticut. He graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield, Connecticut in 1985 and from Dean Jr College in Franklin, Massachusetts in 1987, where he was on their college station 88.3 FM WGAO. He was on air overnights on then classic rock station 103.7 FM WWRX in Providence, Rhode Island from 1987 to 1988. He was on air in evenings and afternoons on rock station WCCC-FM in Hartford, Connecticut from 1989 to 1992, in evenings on rock station WAAF FM in Boston, Massachusetts, from 1992 to 1994 and from 1994 to 2001, music director and midday jock on WAAF.
The broadcast was a three-hour call-in talk show until September 2004 when it was reduced to a single hour before being canceled altogether in November of that year. WFVX carried Shop at Home overnights until its closure in March 2008; Jewelry Television was added at that time. Since August 2008, WFVX and WVII have also carried programming from the New England Patriots Television Network; the stations split airings of pre-season games, and WFVX airs Patriots All Access, produced out of Boston's WBZ-TV, Sunday mornings at 11 during the NFL season. Starting in November 2009, WFVX began airing IWE: Championship Wrestling every Saturday night; it has since been dropped.
Davinia Palmer began her career in entertainment as a radio host in 1997. She was a ‘new music’ reviewer on Leigh Jones' evening show on Swansea's The Wave 96.4 FM Her first solo show was in 1998 at Preston’s 97.4 Rock FM; where she presented weekend overnights. In 1999, Davinia went on to host at Cardiff’s Red Dragon FM. Davinia began presenting the Hot 30 Countdown at 2 Ten FM in Reading in November 1999. Staying within the GWR Group she continued to host the Hot 30 Countdown on Worcester’s Wyvern FM in 2000, before her final move within the group to Wolverhampton’s Beacon FM at the end of the same year.
This network had only a handful of affiliates at its peak and has since been discontinued. The current air talent lineup on the Smooth Jazz Network includes Kenny G and Sandy Kovach (formerly of WVMV "V98.7" Detroit) mornings, Miranda Wilson middays, Allan Kepler during afternoon drive, and Maria Lopez evenings and overnights, with weekend personalities including Norman Brown, Paul Hardcastle, and Allan Kepler's Smooth Jazz Top 20 Countdown. Top-selling saxophonist Dave Koz was a former air personality on the Smooth Jazz and Smooth AC networks. Other weekly syndicated smooth jazz radio shows include the long running Art Good's Jazztrax, "Chill" with saxophonist Mindi Abair, Ramsey Lewis' "Legends Of Jazz" and the weekly two- hour Dave Koz Radio Show.
In September 2002, the station changed call letters to WLIE and flipped formats to become a talk radio station, Mornings were hosted by David Weiss (of WALK-FM fame), Tracy Burgess (of WBAB fame), and later with Weiss and Amanda Clarke; and "Captain" Steve Reggie with Traffic; Ed Tyll held down mid-days, while Mike Seigel held down drive-time with "Major" Matt Bartlett on Traffic; night time featured a rotating schedule of brokered programing and overnights featured Jim Bohannon from WestwoodOne. Weekends featured Lynn Samuels of WABC fame. The Program Director of IslandTalk 540 was John McDermott, a long time producer at WOR. Then the talk format was dumped for a business talk format.
Continuous duty overnights (CDOs) are also referred to as "stand-ups", "naps", or "high-speeds" is a scheduling practice used in regional airline operations to circumvent, or "outsmart" government flight crew minimum rest requirements. A few major airlines may also use them. A crew working a CDO will generally operate the last flight out at night, have on duty time on the ground (anywhere from 0–8 hours) at the destination and then operate the first flight back in the morning. Since the break between flights is not sufficient to qualify as a free from duty rest period, the crewmembers remain continuously on duty, even though they may have been provided with a hotel room for rest.
Michael Bennet on-air during The Exchange in 2020 At first, NHPR broadcast a mixed format of news and information programming from NPR during drive times, and music mid-days, evenings, and overnights. As has been the case with most other NPR member stations over the past decade and a half, the network dropped music programming (except for a handful of weekend features) by 2001 to carry news and information programming around the clock. Local staff produces three hours each day of newscasts and feature reports on local New Hampshire news and two daily interview programs. The Exchange, hosted by Laura Knoy, is a one-hour morning news and public affairs call-in show.
The relationship between AM and FM was severed once and for all in 1991 when KFKF was sold to KCBR-AM Limited Partnership, owned by Bill Johnson, and became KNHN, a news/talk station known as "CNN 1340". KNHN executed an ambitious and experimental plan to expand its coverage; in 1993, it bought another station on 1340, KSEK in Pittsburg, Kansas, and began synchronous operation with the station (which took on new KPHN call letters). In between the two facilities, KNHN received a construction permit to build a synchronous 200-watt booster at Amoret, Missouri. KNHN offered listeners news/talk programming, CNN Headline News audio overnights, and Kansas State University sports coverage.
By late 1996, the station had added a full lineup of personalities, including Marc Mitchell, Sharon Santoni and Trixie DeLuxxe in mornings, Jay Towers in middays, Lisa Lisa Orlando in afternoons, Mark "JoJo" Allen on evenings, and Michael Allen on overnights. By January 1997, a lite mix of pop-friendly R&B; and hip-hop music was also adopted to further cement the station's mainstream hook. With this being the first time a top 40/dance music station had been on Detroit radio since the reformatting of WHYT two years earlier, WDRQ immediately attracted a large listening audience upon its re-launch. Subsequently, the station quickly abandoned the female-skewing format and promoted itself as a dance music station.
In the spring of 1984, Dale Parsons took over as program director. After that, Stern cut down his music load, eventually playing only four songs an hour and began to talk much more. On overnights beginning in the spring of 1984, WNBC added taped Wolfman Jack shows which featured oldies from the 1960s with some 1950s and early 1970s music, with current and 80's hits mixed into rotation and pre-recorded voice tracks of Wolfman Jack announcing the songs, making the show sound live. Throughout his three years at WNBC, Stern had continuous battles with station management and other jocks at the station, specifically Don Imus and program director Kevin Metheny, whom Stern nicknamed "Pig Virus".
Sele Airfield is an abandoned World War II military airfield in southeast Italy, which is located approximately 15 km northwest of Capaccio in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy. It was a temporary field built by the Army Corps of Engineers used as part of the Salerno landings (Operation Avalanche). The airfield was primarily used by the United States Army Air Force Twelfth Air Force 86th Bombardment Group from 22 September though 12 October 1943, flying combat operations with A-36 Apaches. As the airfield was very close to the battle lines, for the first week of operations, the group's aircraft were flown to Sicily overnights, then operated from the airfield during the day.
The station's breakfast show with Michael J. Bailey, The Laurie Atlas show and the Saturday morning program are the only local shows produced from the Rockhampton studio. After 5 months off the air, 2 months of technical updates (including song additions into a new automated system), a new moniker (100.3 The Jinx) and slogan The Station at the Top of the Hill and a staff of approximately 16 students, KSWC-FM went on the air at midnight on October 15, 2005 with Collective Soul's 'Better Now.' KSWC's management kept the standard DJ volunteer shifts from Sunday-Friday from 3 pm-midnight, but ran the station in automation overnights, mornings and early afternoon hours. Several talk shows were born and eventually found a home weeknights at 9 pm. Hourly newscasts covered sports and local news, and Southwestern football and basketball games with Curt Caden found a steady home on the station.
In 2016, Cerphe, with co-author, Stephen Moore wrote a book "Cerphe's Up: A Musical Life With Bruce Springsteen, Little Feat, Frank Zappa, Tom Waits, CSNY, And Many More" (Carrel Books) which documents his years at the station, along with profiles of many of the DJs, staff and the rock musicians he interviewed and featured on his radio shows. His book is now in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Archive and Library). Don Grossinger did weekend late nights from 1976 through 1979 and, when Weasel moved to prime time, he took over overnights for two years, through 1981. He peppered his show with surprise rarities and unavailable tracks. Diane Divola came to the station in 1976 and took over the morning show (6 a.m.
WLRN-FM is a class C1 FM station on 91.3 and is the main public radio station for South Florida and the Keys based in Miami. The station is owned by the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and is the area's flagship NPR member station, therefore carries Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Weekend Edition, and Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!. It is also affiliated with Public Radio International and carries The Takeaway and The World, among others. It airs its own locally-produced music programs Evenin' Jazz with Tracy Fields on weeknights, and Night Train on Sundays, before being taken over by the BBC World Service during the overnights. WLRN first signed on in 1948 as WTHS-FM, on 91.7 MHz.
On June 16, 2019, Grupo Imagen and Grupo Andrade, owners of the El Heraldo de México newspaper, announced that they had reached a strategic agreement under which Imagen would sell XHDL-FM and XHAV-FM to the newspaper, subject to the approval of the IFT. RMX closed down at 11:59pm on Friday, June 21, to allow El Heraldo to begin operation of the station as Heraldo Radio on June 22. The new programming began on June 25, with longform newscasts and other informative programs, while still carrying music programming similar to RMX's on overnights and weekends. The transfer of the concessions of XHDL and XHAV to GA Radiocomunicaciones, S.A. de C.V., a subsidiary of Grupo Andrade, was approved by the IFT on August 28, 2019.
Initially after the format change, the station ran satellite talk shows from corporate ABC's "Talk Radio" network. Initially, WABC's lineup consisted of Ross and Wilson until 10 am, Owen Spann from Satellite until noon, Art Athens and News until 1 pm, Money Management talk until 2 pm, Michael Jackson (a talk show host and not the late pop star) from satellite until 4 pm, another advice show with Dr. Toni Grant from satellite until 6 pm, and ending with a half- hour of news at 6. Sports Talk began at 6:30 pm and remained on until 9 pm. Doctor Judy remained in her time slot. Overnights were hosted by Alan Colmes, who played some music initially, but he stopped playing it by mid-1983.
Wednesday and Saturday's local morning show is also broadcast to each station on the ABC Local Radio network enabling listeners from outside of the local listening area to call into the popular gardening talk back program. ABC Riverina also has a local news service, produced by local journalists. As well as rural reports, The station also airs a local Saturday breakfast show, which is followed by a local Saturday morning sports program. Apart from local programming, ABC Riverina takes national programs like AM, Conversations, The World Today, PM, Nightlife, Overnights, Grandstand, Saturday Night Country and Australia All Over along with a mid-afternoon program, an evening show and a weekend morning program, all broadcast from Sydney, along with a drive program, broadcast from regional NSW.
In 1990, Whatley was an on-air personality at WYNF in Tampa Bay, Florida and producer and contributor for the syndicated morning program, The Ron and Ron Show. During this time, he developed the Fez Whatley moniker which a reporter in The Orlando Sentinel described as "an effeminate, lisping character". After the show disbanded due to being cancelled for low ratings after the departure of Ron Diaz, Whatley then teamed up with Ron Bennington as a co-host to create The Ron and Fez Show on WKRO FM, a small Daytona Beach, Florida rock station. After a relatively short stint there, they then retitled the show: Ron and Fez Dot Com and premiered on overnights on New York City radio station WNEW FM on April 17, 2000.
After graduating from Texas Christian University (TCU), Roddy began his professional broadcasting career as a disc jockey and talk show host on KLIF and KNUS-FM (now KLUV) in (Dallas, Texas). He also worked overnights and mid-days at the Buffalo, New York radio station WKBW-AM (now WWKB), a clear channel radio station covering the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, and at other high- profile stations. Returning to KLIF and KNUS during the 1970s, Roddy hosted a call-in program, Rod Roddy's Hotline, whose controversial host and topics made him a frequent target of death threats. He conducted a long-running on-air feud with an elderly woman (dubbed "Granny Hate" by an earlier host), who claimed to represent the local Ku Klux Klan.
On August 15, 2011, after a listener survey and facing stagnant ratings, BMP Radio dropped the news/talk format in favor of Classic Hits. From August 15, 2011 to September 3, 2011, KXBT simulcasted KXXS ("True Oldies 92.5"). The True Oldies Channel programming moved permanently to 98.9 FM on September 3 as "98.9 Austin's Greatest Hits", and KXXS dropped the oldies format in favor of ESPN Deportes, formerly located on KWNX. As of January 23, 2012, KXBT began locally programming Monday-Friday 6am-7pm and added a local morning show from 6am-10am with Bo Chase In The Morning as well as syndicated host Tom Kent weekdays from 7pm-12am. Scott Shannon's satellite-fed True Oldies Channel continued to air overnights and Sundays at 7pm.
Portions of this broadcast were used in the first season finale episode, "Monkees On Tour". Program Directors during the station's heyday included Larry "Lucky Lawrence" Wright and Al McCoy, who went on to become the long- time play-by-play voice of the NBA Phoenix Suns. Some of the station's all time ratings getters were the personalities of the 1960s, known as the "KRUX Good Guys": Lucky Lawrence, "Bobby-Poo" Bob Shannon,"Your Boy" Al McCoy, Charles L. "Kit" Carson, Norm Seeley, Dick Gray, Dennis Wilkerson, "Mighty" Ed Mitchell and Don Daro overnights. The jocks of the 1970s were John Driscoll aka the 2nd Bob Shannon, John Sebastian, Dave Trout, Chuck Browning, Harry Scarborough, Rhett Walker and Rich "Mother" Robbins.
In 1984, WPNT was purchased by Long Island-based entrepreneur Saul Frischling in April 1984 for $3 million. Though Frischling himself is listed as the licensee, the station did business at that time as Legend Communications and then changed its name to Steel City Media in the late 1990s. Almost immediately after Saul Frischling purchased WPNT, it switched its format from easy listening to a totally live format of light adult contemporary, yet the station retained the WPNT calls and continued to bill itself as "The Point". WPNT's original lineup of on-air personalities at the time of start-up under the new format was Program Director Nat Humphries hosting mornings, John Gallagher for middays, Jon Summers for afternoons, Peter Morley for evenings, Jean Lam hosting overnights, and news anchors Jeff Long and Rick Charles.
Ruether and the Allegany- Limestone sports broadcasts eventually moved to WOEN and WGGO. Casey Hill, WBYB's lone local host, remained on staff for both stations until leaving for WGWE in the summer of 2012. Programming prior to 2012 included a local show hosted by Hill and Michael Baldwin, the Glenn Beck Program, Dennis Miller, The Dave Ramsey Show, The Savage Nation, Alex Jones, and The Phil Hendrie Show. WVTT and WBYB joined Premiere Radio Networks' talk network in 2012, resulting in an overhaul of the station's lineup: joining the lineup were The Rush Limbaugh Show, The Sean Hannity Show, America Now with Andy Dean, and Coast to Coast AM. Ramsey was moved to evenings, Jones cut to an hour on overnights, while Miller and Savage were dropped (Miller ended up on WOEN).
The Beautiful Music format was not a great success, as WRVH (with its Class A signal) was up against 2 giants: WHUD in Peekskill, New York and WEZN in Bridgeport, Connecticut…both with Class B signals and both running Beautiful Music formats. The original staff consisted of Ron Wilson (from WPUT) in mornings; Jennifer Dudley in afternoons; Kenn Hayes (from WKTU and WTFM in New York City) at night; and Kevin O’Keefe on overnights. Hayes also hosted the station’s Classical music on weeknights (“Tableside Concert”) and the Sunday Classical program “The Sound of Things to Come” (featuring then-new CD technology); while also working at WPAT-FM (Beautiful Music) and WQXR-FM (Classical) in New York City. In the mid-1980s, Beautiful Music began to decline in ratings.
A newcomer to all-news in the early 2010s, Randy Michaels, acquired FM stations in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia (through his Merlin Media company) in preparation for all-news formats in those cities (the Philadelphia station never made the switch and instead aired talk shows). Michaels gave up on the format after approximately one year and changed formats on both the New York and Chicago stations to music, later selling the stations. Talk Radio Network launched America's Radio News Network, a 15-hour weekday block of news, in January 2011; the company had been launching three- hour news blocks in specific dayparts since January 2009. The network was syndicated mostly to smaller stations in need of turnkey news operations during the day; the network never produced programming for overnights or weekends.
Bob Shannon, whose only previous New York City radio experience before coming to WCBS-FM was as a fill-in DJ at WYNY, became well-known himself through his 19-year run as the station's afternoon disk jockey. Bill Brown (who had started with the station in 1969, during their rock days) and Don K. Reed (who started at the station 6 months before the switch to oldies) remained with the station during their entire first period as an oldies station. In 1989, WCBS-FM limited current music to late nights and overnights. While most oldies stations were playing songs from exclusively 1955 to 1973, WCBS-FM continued to play a moderate number of songs from the late 1970s as well as about one 1980s hit per hour.
The station ran a mix of older sitcoms, older movies, drama shows, and a small number of children's programs. Beginning in August 1986, WHCT also ran Home Shopping Network overnights from 1 to 6 a.m. However, WHCT continued to underperform in the ratings, due to formidable competition and better lineups offered by WTXX and WTIC. Hartford–New Haven was not big enough at the time to support three independent stations, and it did not help matters that New York City's three major independents–WNEW-TV (now WNYW), WOR-TV (now WWOR-TV) and WPIX, as well as Boston's WSBK-TV and WLVI–were all available on cable, and as the FCC's SyndEx rules did not go into effect until 1990, WHCT had no method to stop their ratings from being cannibalized by those regional superstations.
KENS clears the entire CBS network schedule. Until 2019, the station preempted the Saturday edition of CBS This Morning due to its Saturday morning newscast (as a result, CBS This Morning Saturday did not air at all in the San Antonio market); it also delayed The Late Late Show with James Corden by a half-hour. KENS splits the CBS Dream Team lineup into two blocks that bookend its Saturday morning newscast (with the first hour airing before the program and the final two airing after it) and splits Face the Nation into two half-hour blocks (as such, it is one of several CBS affiliates that carry the program on both Sunday mornings and overnights in such a manner). Syndicated programs broadcast by KENS include The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Extra, and Right This Minute.
Its schedule is formatted to cover the whole dance music spectrum, most notably Climax (various House/Chill-out mixes on overnights and weekend mornings), In Sessions (nine hours of EDM-leaning mixes from numerous DJs, or live festival broadcasts) to Máxima Deejay (a live beat-mixed EDM-only show) and Máxima Reserva (club classics and disco hits). Saturdays feature Máxima 51 Chart, a countdown show featuring the 51 most popular dance songs of the week, and uniquely to other radio charts, offering a 10-minute mashup of dance hits at the start of the show. It began its broadcasts on March 30, 2002, through the frequencies that Sinfo Radio Antena 3 had been using for their broadcasts until then. Its initial slogan was "El dance que te pega" (English: "The dance that sticks with you").
The network aired beginning in 2007 overnights on the men's digital cable network MAVTV, but as of January 10, 2008 that network discontinued airing it, suggesting NOYZ went off-the-air. Shortly after, the network's website was taken offline and would lead to a domain parking page. Blue Frog Media had burned through $16 million of venture capital funding over three years and was unable to raise any more money, and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on February 1, 2008, with $1 million in liabilities from service providers, television stations and other creditors . Blue Frog had planned further expansion before their bankruptcy in 2008, using the funds from the shutdown of BULLA to establish Noyz Country (a country- oriented channel), and UR Noyz, which would focus on Christian music.
The average captain's earnings were about $90,000 vs $120,000 per year for a theoretical first year Captain at airlines like United Airlines (there is no first year pay at United) but in the case of Skybus this included a significant stock options and profit share package unique in the airline industry. Additionally unusual for Skybus flight crew was that there were very few if any overnight trips thus giving the crew far fewer hours away from home (known as TAFB or time away from base) and higher crew utilization rates for more efficient work schedules. Typical Skybus pilot workdays were 8–10 hours long (FAA maximum is 16 hours), which was lower than the industry average of 12–14 hours. Typical pilot work months were 14–15 days with no overnights.
In 1993, K106 moved in a rock-based top 40 direction, using the slogan "all rock, no rap." After briefly taking on an alternative format and returning to Top 40 as "Hot 106" in the mid-90s, KIOC became "Big Dog 106" in 1997. Former DJ's on the station included Mark Landis & The Nut Hut (mornings), Pam (Hoose) Pace (mid-days), Jack "Dangerous" Daniels (afternoons), Steven Wild "The Love Child" (evenings), Angel Sonnier (overnights), Skid Marxx (Shon Hodgkinson, promotions director), Michelle (Blake) Hinch, Derek Hayes, Slade Ham, Chris Chambers (Ken Rojas), Cort Crusher (Cort Kennedy), Lisa Daniels, Kurt (Johnson) Kruzer, Tad Vincent (Tad Licatino), Patrick Sanders and Jay Kelly. In 2009, KIOC adopted Clear Channel's Premium Choice Active rock format, becoming musically identical outside of morning drive to several of its rock and alternative sister stations.
Coupled with a television ad campaign featuring saxophonist David Sanborn, WNWV saw immediate ratings success, having jumped to a 3.5 share in the Spring 1988 Arbitron ratings, and a 4.5 in the Spring 1988 Birch Survey. Citing disagreements over changes to the music selections, WNWV dropped the Wave Network on September 18, 1990 for a locally- programmed lineup of local hosts. Market veteran Bernie Kimble was hired as program director and midday host; also joining the station were B.J. Hart in morning drive, Denis Cametti in afternoons, Charlene McVie in evenings, and Brian Cruise in overnights. Accordingly, the station renamed itself "Cleveland's Cool FM: 107-3 WNWV", slowly transitioning from a mix of new age, soft rock and contemporary jazz into smooth jazz with the slogan "Smooth Jazz, Fresh Hits," but returned to calling itself "The Wave" in 1994.
Carlin spent the first 13 years of his professional career at WFAN in New York. Beginning as an intern in 1995, he worked his way up to the position of producer for the Mike & The Mad Dog Show, co-hosted by Mike Francesa and Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo. Carlin produced the show for years, during which time his on-air role grew with the station. He briefly hosted overnights, and served as sports anchor on the Imus in the Morning program (2005–2007) & Boomer & Carton program (2007–2008.) In addition, he hosted The Morning Warmup, a one-hour pre-show for Boomer & Carton. While at SNY, Carlin co-hosted Loud Mouths, a sports debate program similar to that of ESPN's Pardon the Interruption, from its inception on March 24, 2008 until his departure from the network.
Open Road launched on XM with personnel from the America's Trucking Radio network, including Bill Mack, Dave Nemo, and Truckin' Bozo Dale Sommers. It also played a daily, one-hour-long program called Land Line Now, brought to the listeners by OOIDA. America's Trucking Network, hosted by Steve Sommers, previously held the overnight slot on this channel (dating back to the days when Dale himself hosted the show in this slot) until ATN's flagship station WLW began simulcasting on XM. Prior to October 2007, the overnights were filled with non-trucker programming (namely, replays of Dave Ramsey and a tape delay of Online Tonight with David Lawrence) so as to protect America's Trucking Network from competition. However, beginning October 8, 2007, the Midnight Radio Network, hosted by Eric Harley, assumed the overnight slot from 1 to 6 am eastern time.
On May 16, 1994, Midwest Television announced that KFMB-FM would change formats. After the announcement, the station began a 3-week stunt dubbed "The Great Radio Experiment", where the station tested formats such as all-1970s hits, country, all-Elvis, modern rock, "party songs", an "MTV"-style top 40 format, classic rock, all-Motown, and children's music, each lasting for a day, and allowed listeners to vote for the new format. On June 6 at midnight, KFMB-FM relaunched as "Star 100.7" and retained the hot AC format, though with a more current and upbeat focus than B-100. Star 100.7 was a personality-oriented station, with an initial air staff made up of Shawn Ireland and Donna Davis in mornings, Kim Morrison in middays, Dave Smiley in afternoons, Dominica in evenings, and China More in overnights.
Eastern time each network aired its own newscasts, but a joint newscast was produced for overnights and weekends, with the only difference between the two networks consisting of the recorded introductions, commercials and concluding network identification. NBC Radio's and Mutual's separate weekend sportscasts were canceled in favor of "The Scoreboard," a generic, one-minute hourly sportscast, airing seven times each on Saturdays and Sundays."Mutual Radio Tribute Site: The Westwood One Years – 1985 to the End: Setting Sun Under Westwood One." As a result, throughout the 1990s most major-market NBC Radio affiliates switched to CBS, ABC or CNN Radio offerings, leaving only small-market and rural stations or stations that aired only the network-fed commercials.
In January 2015, KGO announced they had hired Chicago/San Antonio radio personality Kevin "DreX" Buchar, best known for his successful morning show on Chicago's WKSC-FM, which ran for more than a decade, from 7PM to 10PM. John Batchelor's syndicated show air overnights, returning KGO to the same level of news programming as before 2011. KGO's ident under an all-news format. Both KGO and Dallas-based sister station KLIF shared similar visual News/Information identities after KLIF's parent Cumulus acquired Citadel until 2014, when Talk programming was reintroduced. On March 31, 2016, at Noon, KGO dropped its previous programming and began stunting with recordings of speeches from influential figures and people talking about San Francisco, as well as songs about the city, while promoting "The Next Generation of KGO" to launch on April 5 (though with a break during the weekend for paid programming).
The broadcasts of Summer and Winter Olympic Games produced by NBC Sports are shown on the various networks of NBCUniversal in the United States, including the NBC broadcast network, Spanish language network Telemundo, and many of the company's cable networks. The event telecasts during the Olympics air primarily in the evening and on weekend afternoons on NBC, with varying times on its cable networks (such as after the close of the stock market day on CNBC, the early mornings on MSNBC, overnights on the USA Network, and various hours on NBCSN). The on-air title of the telecasts, as typically announced at the start of each broadcast and during sponsor billboards is always the official name of the games in question – for example, The Games of the XXIX Olympiad for the 2008 Summer Games. However, promotional logos may reflect the more common location-and-year name format, such as "Beijing 2008".

From November 14, 2016 to July 7, 2017, Univision started broadcasting reruns of La Mujer de Vendaval every weekday overnights at 1am/12c, replacing La rosa de Guadalupe, the final episode was broadcast on July 7, 2017, with reruns of Quiero amarte replacing it on July 10.
Its original roster of anchors included Charles Osgood, Ed Bradley, Robert Vaughn (not related to the actor of the same name) and Pat Summerall. Later anchors included veteran newscaster Lou Adler, and others like Jim Donnelly, Harvey Hauptman, Bill Lynch and Gary Maurer. Initially, the station ran news in the drive time periods but maintained an MOR format during the midday and overnight hours, and within a couple of years, it ran all-news programming for much of the broadcast day except for overnights. "Newsradio 88" began its transformation into an all-news format in 1970, when the overnight American Airlines-sponsored Music Till Dawn ended in January of that year, and completed the process in 1972, when Godfrey's weekday morning variety show came to an end. The station built a reputation as an all-news powerhouse during the 1970s, and has continued with an all-news format to this day.
WGRR began broadcasting on January 4, 1990 as Cincinnati's first FM oldies station under their original moniker "GRReat OOOldies All The Time! WGRR The New Oldies 103.5". The original WGGR lineup was initially consisted of Kenny Matthews (morning drive), Tony Michaels and Gina Ruffin Moore (news), Antonia "Mighty Toni" Mason (traffic) Steven Allan (program director and middays), Johnny Hall (production director and afternoons), Martin "Marty With The Party" Thompson (assistant program director and evenings), with Ronnie "Rockin' Ron" Schumacher (nights), and Kimberly "Slim Kim" Carson (overnights). For weekends WGRR adopted the Hot Wax Weekend concept by adding legendary WSAI jocks from the 1960s Dusty Rhodes, Ted McAllister, Jack Stahl, and rounding up the original WGRR lineup was Daniel "Dangerous Dan" Allen (Saturday Night Dial-A-Hit), J.D. Hughes stayed at WGRR after its transformation from CHUrban WBLZ to work weekends and remains with the station to this day after 30 years.
KTUX began life on April 1, 1985, debuting as a contemporary hit radio station, "Fun Radio Tux 99." The month before Tux 99 officially debuted, the 98.9 frequency continuously played the 1966 novelty song by Napoleon XIV "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" The first official song played on Tux 99 was "Let's Go Crazy" by Prince. The KTUX studios were originally located at the transmitter site near Greenwood, LA. The original on-air lineup included Bobby Cook on the AM Drive, Cornstock at Middays, John Steel on the PM Drive, Machine Gun Dave 7pm to midnight, and The Moondog on overnights. Within the bounds of Top 40 hits, TUX99 occasionally altered the ratios of its playlist through the early 1990s; each of these "format changes" was preceded by a stunting event, with the station playing the Napoleon XIV novelty song on constant repeat for several days.
In addition, CISS-FM was more rhythmic-leaning than most Top 40 stations due to the market not having an urban or rhythmic station until 2001, when CFXJ-FM signed on the air with an urban format. Station personalities included Jay Michaels, first paired with Daryn Jones as "Mad Dog and Daryn" and then with Billie Holiday in mornings as Mad Dog and Billie (frequently accompanied by voice actress Stephanie Beard as "Suga BayBee"), Kris James (a re-hired veteran of the country format, and temporarily the CHR format's first morning host) middays, Tarzan Dan afternoons, Cory Kimm and Taylor Kaye evenings, and Slim hosting "Slim Jams", a slow jam/R&B; program in overnights. By 2002, somewhat ironically, the station moved to take CFXJ's turf with a complete shift to a rhythmic contemporary format billed as "Toronto's Hip Hop and R&B.;" The station hired local urban flavoured talent DJX and Haddy, Axel, Kwame, DJ Baby Yu and RG.
After two months of cold segues and promos, a new airstaff debuted in February 1988, consisting of Greg Darden (from KRNB--Memphis, Tennessee) for mornings, Maxx Myrick (from WCIN: Cincinnati, Ohio) for middays as well as programming duties, Dave Hendricks (a holdover from the station's previous format) for afternoons, Tori Turner (also from WCIN) for nights as well as the station's music director, and "Brother" Bill Prater (from WJKC/Christiansted, U.S. Virgin Islands) for overnights. Ratings increased almost overnight from a 1.1 to a 9.4, despite having a limited signal that covered half of the Greenville- Spartanburg radio market."PD Of The Week: Maxx Myrick", "Billboard" magazine, July 23rd, 1988 In 1989, the Voyager broadcasting group purchased the radio station, and utilized Don Kelly & JC Floyd as consultants. Wayne Walker (from WFXC, also known as "FOXY107" in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina & WHYZ Greenville, South Carolina, was brought in as Program Director & Operations Manager, and the station was renamed MUSIC POWER Z-104.
Until mid 2018 during weekday overnights and Sunday mornings, Nine rebroadcast American television network ABC's news and current affairs programme Good Morning America. From 2008, major expansion saw Today broadcast on Saturday and Sunday, too, the weekday version running from 05:30 until 09:00 weekdays, the launch of the Nine Early News, the axing of the Sunday program, National Nine News becoming Nine News after poor ratings, losing to Seven News, Nine Late News was launched then renamed as Nightline and the 11 am bulletin be renamed as Nine's Morning News, running from 11:00 until 12:00 weekdays (now a half-hour news bulletin from 2015 onwards). Meanwhile, several additions have been made to Nine News teams around the country, as well as the acquisition of more reporters by A Current Affair and also state-based Today reporters (plus a Weekend Today weather presenter). In 2014, Nine News website moved from its ninemsn website to a brand-only website become 9news.com.
Most stations (both talk and music) air local programming in one or both drive time slots. The midday, or "at work" slot, has in recent years become particularly prone to voice tracking, as large station ownership groups cut costs and use supposedly local jocks at multiple stations (often in different time zones). Music stations often are careful not to repeat songs during the midday shift, as they generally have a captive audience, and will often use "9 to 5 No Repeat Workdays" and all-request or specialty lunch hours to lure listeners and air a broader variety of music. Evenings are a popular time for syndicated programs, while overnights are generally automated, either with or without a voice-tracked jock, though there are a few niche programs that target special audiences in the overnight and early morning hours (Coast to Coast AM, Midnight Trucking Radio Network and the National Farm Report, among them).
Bernie Kimble left WNWV in March 1993 to program WJJZ (106.1 FM)/Philadelphia upon that station's launch and was succeeded by Steve Hibbard; he returned in the same position in May 1995 after Hibbard exited. Current SportsTime Ohio personality Al Pawlowski hosted mornings at WNWV back in 1994. From the late 1990s until 2008, WNWV's airstaff consisted of: Tom Murphy in morning drive; Mark Ribbins in middays; Richard Greer in afternoons; Joan Kelly, Desiray McCray, and eventually Michelle Chase in evenings; Starr D'Avril in overnights; news/traffic reporter Mike Kessler (later known as Mike Gallagher); and weekend hosts Harvey Zay, Mark Sanders, Grace Roberts, Lisa Jeffries, Carmen Kennedy, Frank Macek, Carolyn Carr and Nathan Pope; and syndicated shows hosted by Dave Koz, Ramsey Lewis and Chris Dechant. Other personalities included Dan Steinberg, Lisa Danevich, Sandy Bennett, Larry Adams, Sarah Greer, Cody Brooks, Mark McQuire, Kathy Gudell, Tracey Brich Murphy, Jen Kaminski, Greg Yocum, Tammy Frizzel, Pat Allen and Andrea Morris.
When it began to be established as a marked trail, the Long Path was not built with an eye toward being "thru-hiked" in one continuous trip, as it was more a backbone for creating hiking opportunities in areas which did not yet have them and thus ideal for day trips or short overnights. The Trail Conference did give out rockers for those who completed a tally sheet of trips made on different dates. The trail, even with the AT/Shawangunk Ridge detour available, was difficult for those from out of the region who would need access to maildrops and places to sleep in the areas where camping is not permitted. After several dozen hikers had earned these, it was perhaps inevitable that someone would be the Earl Shaffer of the Long Path, and on May 30, 1998, Mary Ann Nissley of Chalfont, Pennsylvania, a woman with experience hiking many long-distance trails, completed the first Long Path thru-hike in 25 days.
KET ED was then discontinued as a linear channel in Fall 2009, thus deleting the DT4 subchannels of all fifteen principal KET stations, but a KET ED programming block began to be broadcast overnights on KET KY for the next three years until the start of the 2012-13 season. KET ED still existed as an video on demand programming service on the network’s website, allowing users to stream a limited selection of programming aired on the former television service, most of which is original programming from the network, with some ITV programming from other producers also being offered. This action is somewhat comparable to The WB television network’s 2008 relaunch as an online TV network after it went off the air as a result of the September 2006 merger with UPN to form The CW. The KET ED On Demand site was replaced by the KET Education online video library, and the nationwide online service PBS LearningMedia by 2016.
Rural Media, which had considered merging RFD-TV and FamilyNet together to gain over-the-air carriage, eventually decided to keep FamilyNet as a separate service, but with a refocus in programming towards classic television programming which was not picked up by competitors MeTV, Antenna TV and Cozi TV. Rural Media also decided not to renew over-the-air contracts with stations in a slow process in order to make it a cable-only network. A number of former FamilyNet affiliates (mainly religious stations) continue to carry programming recorded from the network's feed before the Rural TV sale, seemingly under a perpetual license. In September 2014, FamilyNet was refocused with classic television series and films from the Sony Pictures Television libraries, with Sony also assisting with advertising sales. Religious programming, which used to make up the vast majority of the schedule under SBC and Schuller's ownership, was limited to Sunday mornings, though Rural Media also maintained FamilyNet's paid programming overnights despite their executives' traditional disdain for depending on those programs for revenue (RFD-TV since also began to carry overnight paid programming).
The expanded station also would reach the Port Jervis/Middletown area plus reaching Sussex County, New Jersey, and Pike County, Pennsylvania. The air personalities during this period included "Mitchell In The Morning" with Marty Mitchell (who would later become Program Director and afternoon host at WYNY in NYC and on-air at the legendary WCBS FM). After Mitchell left, Bob Miller was promoted from weekends to mornings with Program Director and morning sidekick Brian Jones (now News Director for Pamal Broadcasting and is a regular news anchor on WHUD, midday host Beth Christy (previously of WRWD, now Program Director at WKXP), PM drive host Randy Turner (preceded by "Cadillac" Kelley), night host Nick Robbins, and Marty Allen on overnights. Weekend talent included Bob Reynolds, Samantha Campbell (who would later move on to WXKP and sister station WRRV using the air name of Brandi Hunter), Scotty Newman, Ken Elder (host of "The All Request Saturday Night Oldies Party") and Rick McCafferey (host of the "Solid Gold Jukebox" on Friday nights, formerly of WEOK and WKIP, a show focused on pre-1964 music).
The most distinct block was the "Weekend Multiplex", featuring a set lineup of different movies aired in a scheduling format inspired by movie theaters, comprising a main daytime block on Saturdays and Sundays, seven individual prime time blocks on Friday through Sunday evenings (encompassing three per night between 7:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. Eastern and Pacific Time) and themed editions of the existing "VCR Overnight" block (including the "All Night Drive-In" – a spin-off of "Joe Bob's Drive-In Theater" – on Fridays, film marathons on Saturdays and the Sunday edition of "TMC Classics"). The centerpiece of the "Weekend Multiplex" was the "TMC Top Attraction", a film making its premiere on the channel that was scheduled at different, progressively earlier time slots each evening throughout the weekend. With the exception of "Joe Bob's Drive-In Theater" (which remained on Saturday nights until it was discontinued in February 1996) and the "VCR Overnight" block (which was reduced to Wednesday overnights only in 1997), most of these blocks were discontinued in May 1991.
They felt the call letters were too similar and would create confusion. Y100 ushered in the era of the big money contests and aggressive promotional strategy that made the station one of the fastest- growing FM stations in the country during the 1970s. In 1975, Y100 was the first station in South Florida to broadcast live during the world-famous street party known as Calle Ocho. BBC World News America is a British/American current affairs news program produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation's BBC News division, which premiered on 1 October, 2007. The station has its roots in a weekly radio show that was broadcast overnights on CFPL-FM starting in 1971. The University Students' Council subsequently launched a carrier current station, which was added to the city's cable FM service in 1978 and was available on AC radios in some university buildings at 610 kHz. The station was available on 91.5 through the Rogers cable service until it was moved to digital channel 943 in 2007. In January 1980 the station formally organized as CHRW and applied to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for an FM license, which was granted in 1981. The station moved to the public airwaves in October of that year, with 50 watts at 94.7 on the FM dial. CHRW's chief announcer, John R. Quain, played CHRW 94.7 FM's first song, "On the Air" by Peter Gabriel, on October 31, 1981. The format was 60% 1964 to 1969 (the post- British Invasion era) and 40% 1955 to 1963 (the pre-British Invasion rock and roll/doo-wop era). It was the network's original mission to avoid the trends of other oldies outlets and remain committed to the music produced from the beginning of the rock-and-roll era to the disco era (1955 to 1979), purposefully drawing the line of what they would (originally) never air at 1980. By 2005, oldies from the early 1970s were added in moderation, while the pre-1964 material was cut back slightly. In 2006, more late 1970s music was added and the pre-1964 songs were cut down to 2 or 3 per hour. In March 2008, the pre-1964 music was cut down to one song per hour during the day and twice an hour on overnights; and the hits from the late-1960s and early- to mid-1970s was played in equal amounts.
