The park also features numerous attractions for children including bumper cars, a mini race circuit and a swinging pirate ship.

Praterstadion (today known as Ernst-Happel-Stadion) and an outdoor swimming pool Stadionbad were finished for the games. Final of the football tournament was played at Praterstadion in front of 60,000 spectators as the Austrian amateur team Freie Vereinigung der Amateur-Fußballvereine Österreichs beat the German team of Arbeiter-Turn- und Sportbund by 3–2.

Beloit, KS is one of the major cities in North Central Kansas. Even though Beloit is a small town, it still has several places to entertain. The first spot on the list is Beloit's outdoor swimming pool located in Chataqua Park. Beloit's hot, humid summers are where most families and visitors spend their time.

Netphen has a leisure park with a tennis hall, an ice stadium and an indoor swimming pool. The tennis hall and ice stadium were completed in October 1976, and on 14 May 1977 opened together with the indoor swimming pool. The outdoor swimming pool followed a short time later. Netphen's biggest sport club is the TVE.

Volleyball at Kildonan Park Kildonan Park is a park in north Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Established in 1909 as a 73 acre (29.6 hectare) park, it features the Peguis Pavilion, Rainbow Stage, the Witch's Hut, an Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool, duck pond, and soccer field as well as picnic tables and barbecue pits. The Park was originally designed by George Champion who was the park's Superintendent. There are picnic sites and shelters available for rent.

Mount Maunganui College is a state coeducational secondary school and is located in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand. It was established in 1958, the same year that Tauranga College was split into Tauranga Boys' College and Tauranga Girls' College. It has many classrooms, a library, two large halls, a 33-metre outdoor swimming pool, basketball court, a large sports field and several netball/tennis courts. There is also a Maori wharenui located on the ground.

In the early part of the 20th century, he constructed a Licht-Luft Bad (a large outdoor swimming pool) at the sanitarium (the "Bilzbad"). High Bridge Reservoir by Sarah Morrison/ February 28, 2011 By 1934, the reservoir had not been used for fifteen years and was proposed by New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation Commissioner, Robert Moses, as the site of a new park. In the spring of 1934, Highbridge Reservoir was taken over by the Office of Parks for the construction of the Highbridge Play Center of Highbridge Park, including an outdoor swimming pool.

Peter Stechman has the original artist impression of the Swimstadt plan. Building started in 1937 but work halted at the start of the war. After the war, cash shortages lead to the complex not being completed and it was converted to an outdoor swimming pool, opening in June 1946 using wartime gas decontamination rooms as changing facilities. Much of the work to reopen the outdoor pool was carried out by staff using discarded war materials.

Having declined in the 1980s it latterly served as an auction house prior to lying empty for some time before being razed to the ground to make way for the development that remains today.

UPM boasts some of the grass pitches in the country including an 18-hole golf course. In addition, the university is near the National Sports Council at Bukit Jalil. It had its own supermarket (the "Salwa Market"), and at one stage a laundry outlet and a hairstylist. During the Second World War Milford Haven was chosen as a base for allied American troops, and roughly 1,000 American military personnel were housed in the town at this time.

Peninsula Park is a public park in the Piedmont neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, United States. Kincardine is home to many parks and trails that run throughout the town of Kincardine. Sports are a huge part of the community mostly focusing around hockey in the winter and soccer in the summer. The local community centre, The Davidson Centre is the central location for most recreation activities as it has a park, skate park, soccer fields, track (indoor & outdoor), swimming pool, gym, basketball court and hockey rink. There is also the Tiverton Sports Arena.

The city is served by two full interchanges and one partial interchange. Before I-35's completion, traffic was routed through town, generating significant sales revenue to the retailers that had a major highway running past their doors. In approximately 1975, the last portions of I-35 were completed and through traffic started to bypass Faribault. On that same corridor through town, the White Sands Swimming Pool ("Minnesota's Largest Outdoor Swimming Pool") operated from 1964 to 1977.

The Arlington is a tall mixed-use skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. The building was the first residential high-rise and first mixed use high-rise development in the city. The developer, Jim Gross, is also noted for the first downtown residential development (Ivey's) and the first loft-style development in the city (Factory South) among many other developments. It was completed in 2003 and has 24 floors and an outdoor swimming pool on the roof.

Serving Rhaunen are bus routes 345, 351 and 352, run by Omnibusverkehr Rhein-Nahe (ORN). There are stops at Rhaunen Markt, the church, the Verbandsgemeinde administration building and the outdoor swimming pool. Route 345 runs from Idar-Oberstein railway station by way of Tiefenstein (a constituent community of Idar-Oberstein), Asbach and Stipshausen to Rhaunen Markt. Routes 351 and 352 run as links to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, with 351 coming from Idar- Oberstein station and 352 from Kirn station.

Uxbridge has a Non-League football team, Uxbridge F.C., which plays at Honeycroft, Yiewsley. Uxbridge Cricket Club is also based in Uxbridge and is a member of the Middlesex County Cricket League, a designated ECB Premier League. Hillingdon Sports and Leisure Complex has recently been refurbished and contains an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, an athletic track and large sports complex. The South Korean Olympic Team used the centre for training during the 2012 Olympic Games.

In order to improve the environment, the city government decided to use the advantages of the Hehua pond's topography for the construction of the whole park. In 1981, the water park was being built at the north of Hehua pond, namely Hehuachi Park. A few years later, the classical styles of garden group, such as Yanchi Ranhan and Jiufeng Stone, together with the revetments of Hehua pond and outdoor swimming pool were finished. Miracle Park is one of the top outdoor playgrounds you will find in the Midwest. Through screenings, events, agitation and propaganda they developed and inspired a new popular movement of independent live cinema and D.I.Y. filmmaking. Over twenty five years the group has screened thousands of unfunded no-budget films/videos in pubs, squats, clubs, microcinemas and cafes. They staged one off shows in disused factories, ships, museums, car parks, roofs, a circus tent and an outdoor swimming pool. Internationally they have staged shows in Ireland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Malta, North America and Australia.

Cordelia Park is a urban park at 2100 North Davidson Street in the Villa Heights neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. Rigsbee's Rock House is a historic home and national historic district located near Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. The house was built in 1929, and is a 1 1/2-story, rectangular, white flint rubble dwelling with a steeply pitched hipped roof in the Tudor Revival style. The house was restored in 1986–1987. Also on the property are the contributing original two car, detached garage, a pump house, and an outdoor swimming pool, each constructed of white flint rock.

The campus is over 3 times as large as the Tokyo Dome, at 155,000 square meters, and features 3 gymnasiums, an outdoor swimming pool, a running track, baseball and tennis courts as well as soccer pitches. There are over 50 extracurricular clubs for students to participate in.

When the house was built, the soil was excavated but the rocks were kept in place. These rocks are part of the interior of the house and run straight through the walls and windows. Its best-known feature is the large circular concrete canopy above the main living area with a circular glass design. The living room incorporates large rocks and opens onto an outdoor swimming pool and a terrace that offers a view of Palm Springs and the San Jacinto Peak.

Wood panelling from a room in the Crown & Treaty public house was sold in 1924 to an American businessman, who installed it in his office in the Empire State Building in New York. It was returned in 1953 as a gift to the newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II and returned to the house, although the monarch retained ownership.Cotton 1994, p. 24. On 31 August 1935 Uxbridge Lido, an outdoor swimming pool built in the "Moderne" or Art Deco style, was officially opened.

It consisted of the Ching Ling Soong Block and an outdoor swimming pool. As the school grew in size, more facilities were required. The next big change to the school came with the construction of the Stephen Hawking Building (named after physicist Stephen Hawking), and the swimming pool became an indoor one with the Sports Block being built on top of it, allowing for year-round swimming lessons. In 2004, another new block was completed called the Da Vinci Block.

Growth continued through the world wars, with 700 boys by 1947 and five scholarships for pupils to pursue university education. An outdoor swimming pool was constructed in the 1920s and remains in use. In 1966 Labour- controlled Colchester Borough Council put forward proposals to close Colchester Royal Grammar School and Colchester County High School and move to a comprehensive system, but this was rejected by Essex County Council. The educational expansion of the 1960s allowed the construction of new classrooms and a gymnasium.

Furnishings in each room included one-of-a-kind artworks; silk curtains; custom, hand-upholstered furniture; and glass-enclosed rainfall showers. Each guest room contained a television, but in suites these were mirror TVs. Anticipated hotel amenities included an indoor bar, rooftop cocktail lounge, fitness center, "signature" restaurant, outdoor dining area along the canal, spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and wine cellar with attached wine bar. The lobby of the hotel could be accessed only by an electronic key.

The school in Lichfield has 4 classrooms for KS1 and 2 of land,a big house where the bedrooms and dining room are and an outdoor swimming pool. The school also has a new sports hall, meeting room and changing rooms that were completed in 2010. It caters for boys and girls with a variety of emotional and behavioural issues. Links have been forged with a number of secondary schools within Sandwell and hopefully more will be created in the future.

The estate was sold again in 1934 to Cyril Nicholson. Robert Cawkwell of Sheffield was responsible for the interior designs when, in 1935, Nicholson, a Sheffield stockbroker, opened the hall as a country club, investing £80,000 in its art deco renovation. The interior was dramatically modernised and featured a mirror-walled ballroom and an elaborate and versatile state-of-the-art lighting system. There was also a heated outdoor swimming pool, and membership fees ranged from three to seven guineas.

In addition to the nearby Valley Regional Park with an 18-hole grass green golf course, there are two ball-diamonds, two indoor hockey rinks, a curling rink, bowling alley, and three school gyms. A new outdoor swimming pool completed in 2005. Rosthern is also home to the Youth Farm Bible Camp. Popular sporting activities include baseball, soccer, badminton, basketball, hockey, swimming, volleyball, floor hockey and Tae Kwon Do. Professional ice hockey players Robyn Regehr and Richie Regehr grew up in Rosthern.

The outdoor swimming pool was opened on 25 June 1961. Its capacity is 2,500, and swimming beaches hold around 3,500 people, for the total of 6,000, including the activation of telescopic bleachers. Reconstruction of the pool began on 10 March 2020, after the works on the stadium were finished. The pool will get a new, stainless steel bed, and the deepest end will be shortened from , for safety and maintenance reasons, while the pool will remain eligible for all competitions.

Bathing was the focus of daily socializing in the late afternoon before dinner.Peachin, p. 366. Roman baths were distinguished by a series of rooms that offered communal bathing in three temperatures, with varying amenities that might include an exercise and weight-training room, sauna, exfoliation spa (where oils were massaged into the skin and scraped from the body with a strigil), ball court, or outdoor swimming pool. Baths had hypocaust heating: the floors were suspended over hot-air channels that circulated warmth.

The original 1912 building was demolished in 2003, but the lintel from the building's main entryway has been preserved. East Bank's town hall now occupies a separate building, which originally housed the high school & junior high's music and art classrooms. A Dollar General store occupies an adjacent portion of the property. Pioneer Park, administered by Kanawha County Parks and Recreation, is adjacent to East Bank Middle School, and offers an outdoor swimming pool, miniature golf, a snack bar, and picnic shelters.

In a warm December in 2010, Ruby Hill was closed but it opened for the 2011 season through the months of January and February, as weather permits. The terrain park is free, open to the public, and is popular among skiers, snowboarders and people on sleds and inner tubes. In the summer, the park itself is home to an outdoor swimming pool, baseball fields and a handicap accessible playground, and is a popular site for summer picnicking and kite-flying.

On 30 April 2000 in the former outdoor swimming pool property, Northern Bavaria's biggest multifunctional beach sport facility with six beach volleyball courts was opened. In the former diving basin, a skating facility with a halfpipe, a 450 m² wetland biotope, an integrated festival square with a bowls area, a badminton and streetball court, table tennis tables, big chessboards, a music pavilion and in the former wading pool a water and adventure playground for children up to ten years old were built.

A gated community was built in this area. Founders of the Niagara Movement in Fort Erie. In 1904, a group of speculators bought land at Erie Beach, planning to build an amusement park and other amenities, and sell lots around the park to vacationers from Buffalo. Erie Beach featured a hotel, a casino, a race track, regular ferry service from Buffalo and train service from the ferry dock in Fort Erie, and what was billed as the world's largest outdoor swimming pool.

In Hampton Park, these services specifically include storm water and temperature control, and habitat for local and migratory wildlife. Walking dogs off leash, cycling, or building structures (forts, ramps, etc.) is prohibited in an EPZ. The area of the park just north of the Queensway contains a basketball court, two baseball diamonds, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a playground, swings, and changing room facilities. Dogs are only allowed off leash in the fenced in dog run parallel to the Queensway.

Askola High School in Monnikylä. Monninkylä is home to three schools: Askola High School, Vocational College (AMISTO) maintained by the Regional Council of Eastern Uusimaa and Monninkylä Primary School, that was reported after the arsonist set fire to the school in July 2017. In Monninkylä, the municipal services include: clinic, dentist, library, kebab pizzeria, Sale grocery store, hairdressing salon, driving school and Osuuspankki bank office. The village is also home to Finland's only outdoor swimming pool maintained by a parish, which is open from June to August.

The town operates and maintains the Gibson-Aiken Center, a large recreation and community activities facility, located downtown on Main Street,Recreation and Parks, brattleboro.org. Retrieved December 18, 2014. along with a number of parks and outdoor recreation centers, including Living Memorial Park, whose features include an outdoor swimming pool and a municipal skiing facility. There are bicycle lanes on Putney Road in the northern portion of town, on Guilford Street near Living Memorial Park, and on a short segment of Western Avenue in West Brattleboro.

The Middle Building houses ESD and GSD subject cluster classrooms, the library, Three Mackerels Cafeteria as well as the black box drama theatre. This building also includes the Ingrid Buchholtz Hall, known commonly as the IB Hall, which is the main multi-purpose hall/theatre in the school. The building used to house the school's outdoor swimming pool, which sat at the very top of the building. It went under renovation as part of Phase III of the Campus Development Plan from June 2012 to August 2014.

Major civic improvements in this period included construction of an outdoor swimming pool and an ice rink in Major Park (now known as Shepherd Park, after former mayor David Shepherd, but long known informally as Oak Park Park). In 1995, Detroit- based window manufacturer WeatherGard moved its headquarters to Oak Park. In 2002 and 2004, the city annexed portions of neighboring Royal Oak Township to expand its land and tax base. On November 8, 2011, the citizens of Oak Park elected a new mayor, Marian McClellan.

Hapoel Yokneam Indoor Basketball Courts (seats 500) Yokneam has two indoor Basketball Courts (Dahari Sports Center and Hapoel Sports Center), a Tennis Association, a new Country Club including an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, an additional community swimming pool, and a Soccer field, which is run by the Hapoel sports association and is very active with the school age children. Local teams compete in league for Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, , and Bicycle Racing. The Indoor basketball court at Hapoel seats 500. The outdoor soccer field seats 200.

Other industries include forestry, farming, a blueberry processing operation, and Kejimkujik National Park. Caledonia has a range of shops and services including; grocery, pharmacy, hardware store, post office, cafe/restaurants, medical centre, outdoor swimming pool and a Nova Scotia Liquor Commission outlet. North Queens Community School, operated by South Shore Regional School Board, provides education from grades primary to twelve. Each September, Caledonia plays host to the Queens County Fair, which includes a parade and one of the oldest agricultural exhibitions in Nova Scotia.

In 1930 an outdoor swimming pool was constructed at the bottom of the hill between the Community House and the creek, and the basement was converted into locker rooms. The main floor also served as a small basketball court. In the late 1990s the old pool was removed because it had deteriorated and had been replaced by the Aquatic Center. In 2006 the Community House was remodeled and enlarged using a $2.7 million grant from Lilly Endowment to become the Garfield Park Arts Center.

The resort now has 300 rooms, and an outdoor swimming pool, completed in 2012. In 2006, the Ak-Chin Indian Community purchased the Phoenix Regional Airport, which was later renamed Ak-Chin Regional Airport. Located near the Santa Cruz Commerce Center, the 170-acre Ak-Chin Regional Airport consists of an airport building with a 5,000 ft. runway. On July 1, 2010, the Ak-Chin Indian Community purchased the Royal Dunes golf course and renamed it as the Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club.

With that in mind, the new ship — soon to be named Caronia by Princess Elizabeth — received many different features from her Cunard White Star fleetmates. An outdoor swimming pool was a new thing, as was having bathroom / shower facilities in every cabin. However, unlike modern cruise ships her accommodation was divided into two classes on transatlantic voyages; First and Cabin. On cruises all accommodation was sold as one class although many staterooms, both on A deck and R deck were usually allocated to Cabin Class.

Tilbury has an arena located next to the Knights of Columbus hall and provides free skating in the wintertime. Tilbury also has a splashpad near Tilbury Arena and Memorial Park has a skateboard park, a tennis court, an outdoor swimming pool, and a baseball field. Near the end of June, the organizers host a Canada Day fireworks event around dusk at the park. Organizers hosts the Tibury Santa Claus Parade in late November or early December and the Canada Day Parade in late June.

In May 2018, Eagle Hills announced its entry into Oman with the launch of Mandarin Oriental, Muscat. The property will be developed by Eagle Hills Muscat, a partnership between Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi and Izz International, and managed by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group."Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Website", Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, 25/3/2019 Mandarin Oriental, Muscat, which is set to open in 2021, will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a Spa at Mandarin Oriental and an outdoor swimming pool.

There was a separate science block in which physics, chemistry, biology, technical drawing, cookery and domestic science were taught. A single-storey craft block was included for woodwork and metalwork classes. A few years after opening, an outdoor swimming pool was added to enhance the existing sports facilities. There were separate playgrounds for boys and girls, each with tennis courts for use in the summer. The first headmaster of Carisbrooke Grammar School was Stanley G. Ward B.A., presiding over an initial staff complement of 41.

At an outdoor swimming pool, Sara is wearing a string bikini with a transparent dress over it and is sent to hit up the card holder by faking that she was on a stagette party and her friends dared her to get a photo in a whale room. The uniform in winter was brown tweed and in summer became a combination of tan shorts and airtex shirt for daily wear and for formal weekend wear, a bright red blazer, white shirt and red tie, with grey flannel shorts. For sporting events such as football, rugby, and cricket the boys won colours - a special tie and, in the summer, a striped blazer. The school had an outdoor swimming pool and two grass-courts. Archery and rifle shooting were optional activities as was carpentry, gardening and photography.

Trinity School is a non-selective, co-educational, day and boarding school in Teignmouth, Devon for children aged 3–19. The school was founded in 1979 as a joint Roman Catholic and Anglican school. Today the school consists of a Nursery, Preparatory Department, Senior Department and Sixth Form, and welcomes day pupils from the surrounding areas as well as boarders from further afield in the UK and all over the world. Its facilities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, sports pitches, and an onsite tennis academy.

Glen Cairn is home to one of Kanata's oldest high schools, A. Y. Jackson Secondary School, the only public high school in Kanata South. Kanata is also home to Glen Cairn Public (middle) school, the Middle school of Glen Cairn. Elementary Schools in Glen Cairn include John Young Public School, and St. Martin de Porres Catholic School. An outdoor swimming pool, Jack Charron Arena, Glen Cairn Tennis Courts, the Hazeldean Mall, and the Ottawa Public Library's Hazeldean branch are also located in the neighbourhood.

Tuckers Creek, Northeast Park Public facilities in the town include an outdoor swimming pool, sports stadium, golf course, public library (including an online access centre), primary school and high school. Northeast Park is a popular facility in the town, and provides seven days free camping, barbecues and coin-operated hot showers for those passing through the region. Northeast Park has had recent upgrades, with community support helping to improve the park. Public Transport in the region is serviced by RD & FH Sainty North East Bus Service.

The Donald Combs Natatorium, located behind the basketball arena, is the former home of the university's swimming and diving team and is now used predominantly for EKU recreation and the Model Laboratory School Swim team. The natatorium houses a 6 lane 25 yard swimming pool as well as one and three meter diving boards. The Alumni Coliseum also houses four other basketball courts in an auxiliary gymnasium, an outdoor swimming pool, eight classrooms, the Chad Bratzke Student Academic Athletic Success Center, and 20 additional offices.

In 1940, two floors of St. Ann's Guest House were converted into dorms. In 1946, the first floor of the main portion of the present building was completed and served as a residence hall for all the students. By 1951, the second and third floors and the classroom wing were completed. Physical education facilities included a gymnasium built in 1956, an outdoor swimming pool constructed in 1968, tennis courts, the Welker Memorial playground, various playing fields, and a playground purchased by the Parent School Guild.

The oldest parts of the complex are the unheated outdoor swimming pool, two fountains, an entrance building and a grandstand structure, all of which are Grade II listed. At opening the pool measured , and took the form of an elongated twelve-sided star in plan – it is the only remaining example in the country. It was the second longest open-air swimming pool remaining in London. The two fountains are arranged in a line, one to the north and one to the south of the pool.

It features an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, baseball diamond, athletic fields, playground, picnic shelters, dog park, wooded preserve, fitness path, and a boat ramp. Broad Ripple is connected to downtown Indianapolis on public bus rapid transit via IndyGo's Red Line (Route 90). The Red Line's Broad Ripple Station is located in the median of College Avenue and is accessed from College's intersection with Broad Ripple Avenue and Westfield Boulevard. Other IndyGo traditional bus routes also run through the village, connecting it to additional neighborhoods in Indianapolis.

The hotel would be aimed primarily at business travelers, while also including amenities such as a spa, a fitness center, and a heated Olympic-sized outdoor swimming pool. The hotel suites were to be an average size of , the largest in Las Vegas. The Majestic would be the second-tallest structure in Las Vegas, behind the Stratosphere tower. Although the Majestic would have fewer floors than other resort towers in Las Vegas, several of those floors would have rooms that would be taller than the standard size.

Christ's College is one of only 5 colleges in Oxford or Cambridge to have its own swimming pool. It is fed by water from Hobson's Conduit. Recently refurbished, it is now known as the 'Malcolm Bowie Bathing Pool', and is thought to be the oldest outdoor swimming pool in the UK, dating from the mid 17th century. The other four swimming pools within colleges belong to Girton College (indoor pool), Corpus Christi College (outdoor pool), Emmanuel College (outdoor pool) and Clare Hall (indoor pool).

Until 1985, it was an all-boys' grammar school. With the reorganisation of education in York in 1985, the school changed its name to Archbishop Holgate's School, and became a co-educational [comprehensive] school. During this transition period the outdoor swimming pool was converted to an indoor pool, a new sports hall was built, and upgrades were made to music, design and technology, home economics and other facilities. The school's facilities now include an indoor heated swimming pool, a chapel and a boathouse on the River Ouse.

The Don CeSar (now spelled without the hyphen) reopened on November 23, 1973. Multiple renovations from 1985 to 2001 have updated and added onto the hotel, including a spa, a signature restaurant, and a second outdoor swimming pool. After the addition of the full-service beach club and spa, the official name of the hotel was changed to The Don CeSar Beach Resort and Spa. The Don CeSar was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and became a founding member of the National Trust Historic Hotels of America in 1989.

The Mica Creek area was one of the foci of the Big Bend Gold Rush of the 1860s. The village of Mica Creek reached its peak population of approximately 4000 people around 1973, at the time of the opening of the Mica Dam. At that time there were quite a number of amenities including a school, church, ski lodge, community center, outdoor swimming pool, police station, fire hall, grocery store and post office. As the village reduced in population, these were gradually shut down; the high school closed its doors in 1978.

The outdoor swimming pool and the diving facility were completed in 1937, since then they have they have expanded and improved several times. Recently the facility was renovated before the 2006 European Championship, with an additional outdoor 50-meter pool and diving pool, named after Tamás Széchy. This brought the total number of indoor and outdoor pools up to 8 including an international standard diving platform for professional and amateur athletes. The Hajós Alfréd National Sports Club has hosted many world competitions and regularly hosts international water polo tournaments.

Ivybridge playing fields Each April the Ivybridge walking and outdoor festival takes place. There are various leisure facilities in the town: the South Dartmoor Leisure Centre features an indoor swimming pool, an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor sports hall, squash courts and gymnasium facilities. The South Devon Tennis Centre has four indoor and four outdoor courts. Next to the South Devon Tennis Centre are the Erme playing fields (Erme Valley) which hold a cricket field (with a practice net), two football pitches and the Erme Valley Harriers (athletics and road running).

Elz has a big outdoor swimming pool with broad outdoor facilities (table tennis table, volleyball field, basketball nets). Right next to it are found the central sporting ground and the tennis courts. The community also offers three sport halls: the Vereinsturnhalle ("club gymnasium"), the Süd-Schule Elz gymnasium (school) and since 30 May 2008 the Erlenbachhalle, a two-field sport hall belonging to the Erlenbachschule (school) on Hadamarer Straße. There are two homes for the elderly in Elz that look after elderly residents and those in need of care.

Petitcodiac Baptist Church on the banks of the Petitcodiac River The Community Centres around Route 890, Route 885, Route 905, Route 106 and Route 1. The village features a regional school, an outdoor swimming pool, an arena, a bowling alley, as well as several family-owned shops and churches servicing the surrounding area. There is also a Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron. The Westmorland County Agricultural Fair, established by William Balzer in 1967, is an agricultural fair with a horse show, a sheep show, a produce contest, crafts and baked goods, and a beauty pageant.

Moskaubad, entrance area The Moskaubad (English: Moscow Baths) is a public swimming pool in the Wüste district of Osnabrück, Germany. It was first opened in 1926 as an outdoor swimming pool under the name of “Moskau”; in 1933 its name was changed to the “Neustädter Freibad” (New Town Outdoor Pool). In the late 1990s the baths underwent major renovation and rebuilding work which added to them, among other things, a small indoor pool; they were also given back their old name. The outdoor and indoor swimming complex is visited by roughly 250,000 people each year.

In the outskirts of the district, towards the downtown lays the second largest park in Sofia, West Park; it is in somewhat dilapidated condition (most of the alleys are dirt tracks, there is no park ranger or any lamp posts whatsoever), but is still extensively used for jogging, cycling (including dirt-biking), outdoor table tennis and, occasionally, the usage of an ATV. There is also "Lyulin Beach" (outdoor swimming pool with various recreational activities) and a couple of small football stadiums. The local theater is "ARENA Cinema" — a large cinema complex.

Basketball and volleyball games were held in the George Q. Cannon Activities Center. The campus has several tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, and soccer and softball fields. Most conference home games in volleyball and women's basketball, as well as additional home games in men's basketball, were broadcast live around the world on BYUtv Sports. On March 28, 2014, the university announced that the athletics program would be phased out over the next three years, with money spent on athletics to be used to provide educational opportunities for an additional 500 students.

Fettes College is a private co-educational independent boarding and day school in Edinburgh, Scotland, with over two-thirds of its pupils in residence on campus. The school was originally a boarding school for boys only and became co-ed in 1983. In 1978 the College had a nine-hole golf course,Philp, p. 131. an ice-skating rink used in winter for ice hockey and in summer as an outdoor swimming pool, a cross-country running track and a rifle shooting range within the forested 300-acre grounds.

Uplands occupies a five-and-a-half-acre site near to the sea in the tourist area of Batu Ferringhi, approximately eleven kilometres from George Town. Housed in new buildings from 2006, facilities include 36 classrooms, five laboratories, two drama rooms, two music rooms, two computer labs, an indoor multi purpose hall, a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, and a games field. The school also provides firewalled wireless internet access for students and staff who use their own mobile computers at school. Students are mainly divided into thirteen year groups.

Mikindani town is located on the gently sloping hills of the southern coast of Mikindani Harbour, a small roughly heart shaped natural harbour off Mikindani Bay. With a narrow entrance to the harbour, it was a welcome respite from the perils of the unpredictable Indian Ocean for explorers in the 18th and 19th centuries. The southern arm of the harbour mouth contains a small collection of houses (and a holiday complex) called Litingi.

Local residents and nature enthusiasts fought successfully to prevent the City from installing a freeway through the ravine in the 1960s and 1970s.Bonnie Doon Community League, Memories of Bonnie Doon, 2019 The city has begun public consultations on re-establishing the natural, surface flow ("daylighting") the downstream reach of Mill Creek, north of 88th Avenue. The Mill Creek Outdoor Swimming Pool, located in the ravine at 8200 - 95A Street, is a popular summertime destination. Other nearby attractions include the Argyll Velodrome and BMX course and the Muttart Conservatory.

The Bellarmine Bells have 34 teams in 13 sports in the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) of the CIF Central Coast Section. Sports include football, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, water polo, swimming, diving, lacrosse, tennis, cross country, golf, wrestling, track and field, and ice hockey. As of the 2009-10 school year, Bellarmine added rugby as a club team, competing in spring in the Skyhawk Conference. The campus includes an outdoor swimming pool, baseball diamond, and gymnasium, along with new facilities for soccer, football, and all-weather track.

The deck overlooking Lake Michigan that is used for wedding ceremonies As of 2015, Michillinda Lodge consists of nine buildings providing 26 guest units in total. The resort positions itself as both family-oriented and historic in nature, and does not provide either telephones or televisions in its guest rooms. On-site amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, two shuffleboard courts, a miniature golf course, basketball and volleyball courts, and two tennis courts. Also on the grounds are a playground, a campfire, and a private beach on Lake Michigan.

Along the Neckar river there is a hard-surfaced walking/biking path, elevated above the bank, which makes up a portion of the Neckar recreational path. The path skirts housing as well as the outside sports center with soccer fields and an outdoor swimming pool (Freibad), popular during the summer months. There is also a putt-putt course open from March until October, next to a playground. On the southside of the canal is the Neckarhalle and Hallenbad, home to many indoor sport events, to include handball, swimming, indoor soccer, and karate.

The most notable landmark in the district is the Devil's Bit mountain range. It is an excursion point for people to visit 'the Rock' and cross at the summit. Following the War of Independence, the private demesne of the Carden family came into the ownership of the town's urban district council which handed it over to the citizens as the Town Park. The Park incorporates an outdoor Swimming Pool, GAA grounds (Páirc Shíleáin), Lakeside Pitch & Putt Course and an all-weather athletic track in the care of Templemore Athletic Club.

The Oast Theatre Major industries include light engineering, printing and publishing, distribution and financial services. Tonbridge, together with its neighbour Tunbridge Wells, has been designated by the South East Assembly as a Regional Hub. The town has largely retained its 'market town' atmosphere and has many attractions to visitors and residents alike, including the well-maintained Castle Gatehouse, a large country park and activities based around the river. Sports facilities including an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a leisure centre and a large sports ground are all located close to the town centre.

The town's best known sport club is SC 07 Idar-Oberstein. Idar-Oberstein has an indoor swimming pool and, since September 2005 an outdoor swimming pool fed by natural water. On the town's outskirts, a Friends of Nature house has been established, offering cyclists, hikers and tourists meals and lodging. Also, in nearby Kirschweiler is a golf course. The Delaware Field House is an indoor athletics facility on the campus of the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. Constructed in 1966, the venue seated 4,000 fans for indoor track and tennis events. It served as the site of intercollegiate basketball games as well until the completion of the Bob Carpenter Center in mid-1992. The Field House is part of a complex which includes the new arena, Delaware Stadium (football), Rullo Stadium (field hockey/lacrosse), Bob Hannah Stadium (baseball), an outdoor swimming pool, and six tennis courts.

Farm land at Wrinstone Local countryside Wrinstone House is a country house, built in 1880 on the site of the old gamekeepers cottage. It is a well-appointed stylish white house, perhaps influenced by William Burges, with two distinct turreted wings added in the 1980s, containing six extra rooms. The house contains 16 rooms in all, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and has an outdoor swimming pool and tennis court, rare in Glamorgan. No traces of Wrinston/Wrencheston castle exist except for disturbed ground in the area of Wrinston's farm buildings.

Trochu is home to an arboretum,Alberta Economic Development --The Arboretum at Trochu which is home to over 1,000 trees and shrubs of over 100 species, as well as various native and non-native flowering plant species, and showy floral displays. Also located nearby is St. Ann's Ranch,St. Ann's Ranch a bed and breakfast on a historical site, TL Bar Ranch, and the Dry Island Buffalo Jump Provincial Park. Trochu also has a local museum and has recreational venues including an arena, a curling rink, an outdoor swimming pool, a campground and ball diamonds.

Especially in his later years, the Poolside House would be the place for visiting foreign leaders to see Mao. This was the case for Richard Nixon and Kakuei Tanaka. After Mao's death in 1976, Zhou Enlai's wife Deng Yingchao briefly lived here during the extensive reconstruction to Regent Palace and West Flower Hall before returning to West Flower Hall after the completion of the renovation. The original outdoor swimming pool adjacent to Poolside House was built in 1933 as a public-private partnership when Zhongnanhai was a public park.

The centre was designed by Edinburgh architects Simpson & Brown to make use of natural light and ventilation, and to offer panoramic views both to sea and inland towards North Berwick Law. Very little plastic was used in construction, with wood, stone and metal being preferred. The site now occupied by the Scottish Seabird Centre once overlooked the North Berwick Outdoor Swimming Pool, a feature of the North Berwick Harbour area from the nineteenth century until its eventual closure in 1996.

Webb fields teams in several sports, competing in Division II (private schools) of the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association. Webb has athletic facilities, including football stadium, softball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse/field hockey fields, wrestling room, basketball and volleyball courts, outdoor swimming pool, outdoor track, outdoor and indoor tennis courts, and several more practice facilities. The football team were runners- up in 1997 and 2005 and state champions in 1981, 1996, 2006, 2009, 2010, and 2012. The boys cross country team was the state champion in 1990 and 2009.

Shanghai Oriental Sports Center The Shanghai Oriental Sports Centre (Simplified Chinese: 上海东方体育中心), also known as the Shanghai Aquatic Sports Center, is a sports venue that started construction on December 30, 2008 and was completed in late 2010. The center has an indoor arena named Indoor Stadium seating 18,000, an indoor swimming pool seating 5,000, and an outdoor swimming pool also seating 5,000. The Shanghai Oriental Sports Center is close to Huangpu River, next to Expo Park in Shanghai's Pudong New Area. The total investment was two billion yuan.

Sporting facilities include a football ground (Sounness Park), the home of the Mount Barker Football Club, a modern indoor recreation centre and gymnasium, a 50m outdoor swimming pool, speedway track, horse-racing track (Frost Park) and skate park. Popular sports include Australian Rules Football, rugby union, cricket and equestrian pursuits. Besides the public library, Mount Barker also has cultural facilities including a public art gallery that displays and offers works by local artists. There is also a popular amateur theatre company, "The Plantagenet Players", which has members from nine years old to seniors.

Fyrishov Fyrishov is the largest arena in Uppsala and is Sweden's fourth most visited, specialized in swimming, sports events, meetings and recreation. Novotel Citygate Hong Kong () is a 4-star hotel in Hong Kong. It opened in April 2006, and is managed by AccorHotels. Novotel Citygate has 440 rooms including 14 suites from 26 to 45 square metres, 3 restaurants and a bar, a gym, an outdoor swimming pool and meeting facilities. The hotel is located near various attractions on Lantau Island, including the Citygate Outlets shopping centre, the AsiaWorld-Expo exhibition centre, the Ngong Ping Cable Car, Hong Kong Disneyland, SkyPlaza, SkyCity Nine Eagles Golf Course, and Tai O fishing village.

This facility is located at the northern end of the Gold Coast, in the suburb of Runaway Bay, has been earmarked as a world class training facility. Central Park has two ice skating rinks: Wollman Rink in its southern portion and Lasker Rink in its northern portion. During summer, the former is the site of Victorian Gardens seasonal amusement park, and the latter converts to an outdoor swimming pool. Central Park's glaciated rock outcroppings attract climbers, especially boulderers, but the quality of the stone is poor, and the climbs present so little challenge that it has been called "one of America's most pathetic boulders". The theatre grounds encompass the Mainstage Theatre, Barn Theatre (for acting school classes and projects), scene shop, two rehearsal studios, three dorm-style housing units, a newly remodeled kitchen, costume shop, design office/studio, paint shop, box office, business office, various storage spaces, a recreation room and a large hedge-lined lawn with outdoor swimming pool (which holds the distinction of being the first ever in-ground swimming pool on Long Island). The Gateway Playhouse theatre seats 500 and its proscenium height is 34' holding 25 line sets for scenery and lights.

Clason Point was a mixture of mansions, farmland and undeveloped fields and swampland. Pas-Ka- Poo Park includes large open lawns, a historical village site, museums and a wide array of interesting displays, including the World's Largest Collection of International Trucks in the Smithson International Truck Museum. The Rimbey Golf & Trailer Park was located south. The golf course has since been closed down, due to flooding. The buildings formerly at Metropolitan Park (locally known as "Five Mile Park" because it is located about five miles (8 km) outside of town) were designed by Trent Thomas, adapted from his design of La Fonda Hotel in Santa Fe. In January 2001, the business was purchased by Chuck Lee, a retired Chicago homicide detective of 20 years, former owner of an AT&T; retail store, and car dealership owner from Las Vegas, Nevada. At the farmhouse is an inscription: melior nihil nihil homini libero dignius agricultura 1901: "Nothing is better, nothing more worthy of free people, than farming." Boat trips from here include the Waverley and Balmoral and trips to Steep Holm and Flat Holm islands as well as short trips around Weston Bay. The Tropicana outdoor swimming pool that is located on the southern section of the sea front has not been occupied since 2000. A private developer, Henry Boot, was selected to redevelop the site with a new Life Station leisure complex, which was planned to include a six lane, swimming pool, water park, 96-bed hotel, restaurant, eight-screen cinema, 14 retail units, and a 20-lane bowling alley. Stelvio House on Bassaleg Road, Newport, Wales was the home of the important 19th century industrialist, Charles H. Bailey. It was spot listed on 20 March 1996 by Cadw, Welsh Historic Monuments in recognition of its architectural and historic importance but developers McCarthy & Stone were fined £200,000, plus costs of £13,000, for subsequently demolishing what was one of Newport’s most important historic buildings. Solihull has numerous leisure facilities including a public swimming pool on the edge of Tudor Grange Park. This pool replaced the old Tudor Grange Sports Centre, which was demolished in 2007, to make way for the brand new leisure centre (A combination of the old Norman Green Athletics Centre and Tudor Grange Sports Centre). Although the red sandstone harbour and buildings have changed little in their external appearance, the old granary is now home to modern flats and the interior of many others have been remodelled for housing, boat storage or office space. The Scottish Seabird Centre has become a major tourist attraction since opening in 2000 and tourists can still take Sula II to see the gannets, puffins and other birdlife in the area. The outdoor swimming pool finally closed in 1996. It has since been filled in and is now a dinghy park, although some of the original buildings and viewing galleries still remain intact.

' ("House on the River") is an Art Deco house built in 1936 to a Spanish theme, on the banks of the river Yealm at Newton Ferrers, South Hams, Devon, England. Once owned by the Berkertex family, the house was commissioned by the baker Walter Price, who had visited California in the 1920s, to research the bread trade there, and had met Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford at their house, Pickfair, which served as Price's inspiration. The house's features include a marble staircase made to look like a piano keyboard, and an outdoor swimming pool, since filled in and grassed over. The exterior is white stucco.

The four blocks that comprise West Island School house a range of academic departments and support facilities in its ten floors. Around 1900 the businessman Saeger operated the Wirtshaus (guest house) am Halensee near the popular outdoor swimming pool on the east shore of Halensee Lake. The Regency Hotel was built by real-estate developers Marvin and Victor Lederman, and designed by Richard DeGette, with construction starting in 1968. It was designed to serve as a regional convention center, with banquet and meeting rooms, exhibit areas for car dealers, four restaurants, three bars, a disco, an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, and tennis courts, and was known for its large gold dome, the Piccadilly Rotunda. The convention center had an authorized capacity of 4,350. Dan Twebaze, a Ugandan commercial real-estate developer, began developing the skyscraper in 2018, using his in-house Twed Construction Limited. On 22 March 2019, representatives of Hilton International signed a hotel management agreement with TWED Property Development Company, to manage the hotel, under the Hilton brand. In order to speed up construction, and in an attempt to meet the December 2020 planned commission date, ROKO Construction has taken over the construction as of March 2019. The complex will comprise several high-end meeting and conferencing facilities including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 500 guests, parking facilities for up to 518 vehicles, a fitness centre and an outdoor swimming pool.

The venue was planned built in several stages, and the plans called for a main football field with grass turf and a main athletics field. Additional plans called for an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, an indoor arena for handball and gymnastics, and a club house. The grass pitch was officially opened by Mayor Einar Hansen in 1949, and had a spectator capacity for 12,000 people. Penn Hills Resort, bubble bath, circa 1970s Penn Hills Resort was a honeymoon resort located in Analomink, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains. Founded as a tavern in 1944, the resort grew in the 1960s, with over a hundred rooms in the hotelMichael Sadowski, Venerable Pocono resort is deserted, Pocono Record, April 15, 2009 and a ski resort and golf course on the 500 acre site. Guest villas featured floor-to-ceiling carpeting, round beds, and heart-shaped bathtubs.William Robbins, What's Doing In the Poconos, New York Times, April 12, 1981 Distinctive, modernist streetlights from the 1964 World's Fair were installed, as well as an ice rink and a wedding bell shaped outdoor swimming pool.

There is also a small theatre, the Cotswold Playhouse, which is home to the amateur Cotswold Players; it occasionally hosts visiting professional companies. On the fringes of the town are Stratford Park, originally the park of a small local weaver, now home to a leisure centre with an indoor and an outdoor swimming pool, and the Museum in the Park, a museum of the history and culture of the Stroud valleys. The existence of Orange One came to public light in the 1970s, during the Watergate scandal, after it was revealed that Richard Nixon's choice of location for an outdoor swimming pool at Aspen Lodge sat over a portion of the subterranean Orange One.

The common frogBowen's Field is an informal recreation area, adjacent to the Great Stour. It is thought that this site was one of the last areas to be farmed in Ashford, it belonged to a local livestock trader called Mr Sidney Herbert Bowen, died 1971 and he is commemorated on a plaque at the entrance to the site from Victoria Park. This area was also adjacent to the town’s lido (outdoor swimming pool) which was built in 1867 and was at the time the largest in Britain. The site is now a flood storage area consisting of damp grassland, with a large pond where banded demoiselle, blue-tailed damselfly, azure damselfly, smooth newt, and common frog have been recorded.

Swifts Creek Swimming Pool The town's sporting facilities include a recreation reserve consisting of a football/cricket oval, netball courts, four tennis courts, a lawn bowls green, changing rooms, and club rooms. The town also has a half-Olympic-length six- lane outdoor swimming pool located beside the school, and publicly accessible squash courts located within the grounds of the P-12 school's Tambo Campus. Around two kilometres north of town is the privately owned Tambo Valley Racecourse, where an annual Country Racing Victoria sanctioned picnic horse racing carnival is held on Easter Sunday each year, including the Swifts Creek Cup. The town's public golf course, the Tambo Valley Golf Club, is located about thirteen kilometres north of town in the locality of Bindi.

Much as cabins and motor courts replaced the campgrounds that had served Depression- era motorists, motels with multiple rooms in one building would replace individual cabins in the 1950s. Space initially allocated to individual carports or open ground between cabins would soon be filled with additional rooms. While the post-war era brought a huge increase in tourism as auto manufacturers returned to civilian production and wartime rationing of fuel and tires ended, the 1950s would also bring increased competition both from other independents and from chains such as Holiday Inn (founded 1952 in Memphis, Tennessee). The aggressively-expanding motel would add elaborate neon signage to rival the chain motel's Great Sign, in-room televisions, air conditioning and an outdoor swimming pool to remain competitive.

One of the sea-view suites at the Praia d'El Rey Marriott Hotel The Praia d'El Rey Golf and Beach Resort includes a five-star Marriott hotel at the centre of the resort which has 179 rooms plus three bars and three restaurants. In the late 19th Century the castle and the estate acquired its present appearance thanks to Baron François de Loë, who remodelled it in a neo-Gothic style to the plans of Lambert de Fisenne. Throughout most of the 20th century, the castle and its estate were in the hands of the Orange-Nassau mine, and the castle housed some of their staff. In the castle grounds at that time was a large outdoor swimming pool, in which whole generations of the people of Heerlen learned to swim. Longsands is the next beach to the north, an expanse of fine sand long, lying between the former Tynemouth outdoor swimming pool and Cullercoats to the north. In 2013, Longsands was voted one of the best beaches in the country by users of the world's largest travel site TripAdvisor. TripAdvisor users voted the beach the UK's fourth favourite beach in its 2013 Travellers’ Choice Beaches Awards.

The video starts with "a capture of" Williams "donning a black tube gown and singing the song on her bed", frequently cutting to scenes of a man on a "field", "coaching his football players". The video then solely focuses on Williams during the first verse, who is also seen sporting a reasonably short, purple cocktail dress in a sitting room during another scene. Cadillac launched the ELR marketing campaign with a 60-second television commercial. Called Poolside and featuring actor Neal McDonough, the commercial prominently aired during broadcast of the 2014 Winter Olympics opening ceremony as well as before and during the 86th Academy Awards (Oscars) in March 2014. The commercial opens with its protagonist, an American businessman portrayed by McDonough, casually dressed and standing by the outdoor swimming pool of his contemporary, upscale home, asking "why do we work so hard?" He walks through his home, interacting with his family, changing into business attire, ultimately standing by and unplugging his ELR – while extolling the American Dream, the Wright Brothers, NASA's moon mission, Bill Gates and American work ethic and short annual leave – compared to other countries, unnamed.

There are statues of Milne's son, Christopher Robin, and his character Owl in the garden, and also a sundial with a gnomon in the shape of a quill and a base carved with images of Pooh characters, including Piglet, Tigger and Roo, the initials "AAM", the words "This warm and sunny spot belongs to Pooh, And here he wonders what it's time to do". A stream runs through trees along the southern boundary of the garden, with Poohsticks Bridge approximately upstream to the west. After being owned by an American couple, the Taylors, who installed an outdoor swimming pool, the house was bought by Rolling Stones band member Brian Jones. He drowned in the swimming pool in July 1969, aged twenty-seven.

Primarily a family beach type locale, the island also provides many other types of recreational activity. The Oak Island Golf Club course and its related practice facilities are open to the public and an outdoor swimming pool is available for its members' use during the summer. Two public fishing piers jut out into the Atlantic Ocean while motor/sail boats moored to piers dot the ICW as well as the Davis Canal and Montgomery Slough.

During the same period, the station depended on microwave relays sent from Los Angeles for its network transmissions; on at least one occasion, an ice storm in Arizona caused a significant disruption in the station's network programming. KELP-TV's transmitter facility moved to the south end of Comanche Peak, just above Scenic Drive, in 1961. Walton oversaw the move of the station's operations to its current studio facilities at 4140 Rio Bravo Street, off Executive Center in western El Paso, in 1968. John Lennon bought the house on 15 July 1964, on the advice of the Beatles' accountants, Dr Walter Strach and James Isherwood. Cliff Richard and Tom Jones had earlier bought homes on the St George's Hill estate. Though reportedly not liking Kenwood (describing it as a "stop-over" on the way to something better), Lennon spent £40,000 (were it cash for ordinary expenditure ) on renovations, reducing its 22 rooms to 17, landscaping the grounds, and building an outdoor swimming pool. The eastern terminus of Tramocar services was Splash Point, an open air swimming pool (left of picture) on Brighton Road. The first Tramocar service ran on 21 April 1924 along Worthing seafront from the pier to Sea View Road, just short of Grand Avenue—the main road of West Worthing, laid out in the 1870s. The eastern terminus was soon extended to Splash Point, an outdoor swimming pool and leisure centre, as originally proposed in the licence application. The success of this experimental service, and the demands of residents in the Grand Avenue area (which was poorly served by Southdown), led him to order a second vehicle and seek permission to extend the route along Grand Avenue to railway station.

Jacir Palace on Christmas Day 2008 Jacir Palace or Qasr Jacir () is the largest hotel in Bethlehem in the central West Bank. The building's original design was based on typical Palestinian architecture and the characteristics of an Arab household. Jacir Palace has three floors, each spanning 800 square meters. The newly built hotel added an outdoor swimming pool, a health spa, two meeting rooms, 250 available rooms and eleven food and beverage outlets including restaurants and bars.Hotel International: Jacir Zara Investment (Holding) Co. Ltd Jacir Palace was built in 1910 by local craftsmen on commission of the former mayor of Bethlehem, also a merchant, Suleiman Jacir (great grandfather of Nasri Jacir, Emily and Annemarie Jacir), who intended that he and his five brothers’ families would live in the house together.

The building ensemble was built in individual sections from 1955, based on designs by an architectural collective led by Walter Schmidt, which had emerged as the winner of an architectural competition held in 1953. The Sportforum was expanded according to requirements by adding additional facilities and expansion continued into the 1980s. The original building ensemble built from 1955 to 1959 is now a protected building of cultural importance. The facilities includes artworks such as mosaic artwork by Wolfgang Frankenstein in the foyer of the Dynamo-Sporthalle and the swimming hall, the copper artwork "Sport-Fries" by Wolfgang Frankenstein on the facade of the athletics hall at Konrad-Wolf-Straße and the two bronze sculptures "Seated Swimmer" () by Gustav Weidanz and "Standing Swimmer" () by Waldemar Grzimek at the outdoor swimming pool.

In 1990 Effoa merged with its fellow Silja Line partner Johnson Line to form EffJohn. In 1991 an extremely large-scale reconstruction was planned, where the ship would have been lengthened by , cabins enlarged, a new outdoor swimming pool added, and much of the superstructure built to a sleeker appearance. Unfortunately the plan proved to be too costly and was abandoned; the funds that had been raised for this reconstruction went to the rebuilding of MS Svea and MS Wellamo into Silja Karneval and Silja Festival.

As is common with festivals of this size, Wacken Open Air received criticism for its hygienic conditions, prices, security personnel, as well as for the overcrowding and commercial orientation of the event. These points of criticism were addressed by making further substantial investments in the festival's fixed and mobile infrastructure. In 2008, the organisers also contributed 1,000,000 Euros to the expansion of Wacken's local outdoor swimming pool in order to make the festival even more attractive to the residents and visitors of the town.Information provided by mayor Axel Kunkel Since 2006, the festival has been running an online radio station called Wacken Radio, which broadcasts Metal music around the clock.

In April 2006, JCC's board of directors moved to begin groundbreaking as soon as possible and the Federation's board of directors approved $400,000 for architectural, engineering, and impact fees, plus permit costs. The 35,000-square-foot center features a gymnasium and aerobics facilities, dance studio, multi-purpose rooms, a space dedicated to its early childhood education program, an outdoor pavilion and concert hall, and playgrounds and sports fields. The campus also houses Theatre South at JCC, an arts center with classes for all ages and home of JCC's resident theatre company. Future plans for the 16-acre site on which the center stands included an auditorium, basketball and tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, snack bar, teen and senior centers, and spaces dedicated to an expanded early childhood education program.

However, in the 1980s, a series of steps to beautify certain parts of the town commenced. The outdoor swimming pool, which had remained disused for some years, was transformed into a water-garden and officially opened in 1990 by Margaret Thatcher. Lowell Thomas Communications CenterIn 1987, the Lowell Thomas Communications Center opened, providing space for communications, math, and computer science studies. The building was built over the site of an outdoor swimming pool from the early days of Marist that was fed by a natural spring. Dyson CenterIn 1990, the Margaret M and Charles H Dyson Center opened, providing a home for the School of Management, School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and School of Graduate and Continuing Education. Construction continued in 1994 with a $27 million Student Center, bookstore, dining facilities, art gallery, and a new adjoining dormitory (Midrise Hall) In 1996, Talmadge Court was purchased by the college as an official student residence. In 1997 the college purchased a private residence, St. Ann's, which part of the area now known as Fern Tor, located on the college's northern boundary.

Milford Haven UD: Total Population A Vision of Britain Through Time: Population Statistics During the First World War, the Haven was an assembly point for convoys to Gibraltar, and a base, under the command of R.N.R. Captain (and retired Admiral) Charles Holcombe Dare, to counter the activity of German U-boats off the coast of Pembrokeshire. The early twentieth century saw a period of increased urbanisation of the area; in the period from the First World War to 1937, 312 council houses were built, and public services, such as electricity supplies and sewerage, were completed. The steep gradient of the Rath was at this time constructed, and in 1939 a Town Hall was opened on Hamilton Terrace, at that time possessing an inbuilt fire station. 1939 also saw the opening of an outdoor swimming pool on the Rath.

Morris Recreation Center in 2016 A&M;–Commerce built the Morris Recreation Center (MRC) in 2003, featuring two basketball courts, bouldering and climbing walls, an indoor jogging track, an outdoor swimming pool, racquetball courts, and facilities for weight training. In 2013, university students and Climbing Society members set two Guinness World Records on its climbing walls, for "Greatest Vertical Distance Climbed in 6 Hours by a Team" () and "Fastest Time to Climb Everest on an Indoor Climbing Wall (Team)" (4 hours, 24 minutes, and 33 seconds). In fall 2015, the MRC raised its semester fees after 70% of students voted for the increase in a referendum; among the resulting improvements were a new outdoor multi-activity court and an expansion providing more space for cardio and weight training equipment, fitness programing, personal training, rock climbing, and student activities.

Opened on 23 April 1925, it measured and was so large that the lifeguards required kayaks for patrol.

Being a municipality, Eningen has its own town hall and also its own post and police offices. Although Eningen is considered to have the structure of a village, it possesses a wide service infrastructure: two pharmacies, two banks, one public library, one festival hall, one public outdoor swimming pool and more of five parks where people can go to walk and enjoy the nature or children can go to play. Furthermore, Eningen’s educational infrastructure is represented by nine kindergartens, two primary schools, one music school and an adult education center. Regarding to transportation infrastructure, Eningen possesses two different bus connections to Reutlingen, as well as one bus connection to several villages of the Swabian Mountains and one connection to Metzingen. In matters of sport’s infrastructure, Eningen has three sports halls, one sports field, one complex with several tennis fields, one horseback riding field and a one mini golf course.

Also built on the floodplain was a new emergency management centre that houses all institutions involved in protection against catastrophes, such as the fire brigade – local and from farther afield – emergency management, Technisches Hilfswerk and the German Red Cross. In 1967 a new indoor swimming pool was built right near the parklands on Teichweg and in 1972, an outdoor swimming pool with a miniature golf course was built onto it. As part of municipal reforms in 1970 and 1971, 12 villages voluntarily joined the town of Frankenberg, thereby enlarging the town's municipal area from 2 736 ha to 12 518 ha and increasing the population from 9,397 to 15,263. Laramie has 14 city parks that, among them, include playgrounds, seasonal wading pools, jogging and biking paths, baseball and softball fields, basketball hoops, a skateboard park, horseshoe pits, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a fitness circuit court, soccer fields, picnic tables, river fishing, and a seasonally stocked fishing pond. In addition to a public country club and golf course, Laramie residents also have access to the University of Wyoming's 18-hole golf course, and to a wide variety of university recreation sites including squash courts, handball courts, baseball and softball diamonds, basketball courts, a climbing wall, and fields for football, soccer, and track. The Community Recreation Center has an outdoor swimming pool, an indoor pool, an eight-lane lap pool, water slides, a full-court gymnasium, cardio equipment, circuit weights, and an indoor playground, and it offers programs in adult fitness, youth volleyball, junior basketball, and aquatics. The Community Ice Arena is open for ice skating, skating lessons, hockey, synchronized skating, adult co-ed broomball, and other ice-related activities from October through mid-March.

The Moray Coast Railway was also constructed by GNSR and the part of it that served Buckie, opening in 1886, ran from Cairnie near Keith down to the coast at Portsoy and then swung west through Cullen, Portknockie and Findochty reaching its first stop in Buckie at Portessie. This station was built directly on top of the cliff and commanded panoramic views over the Strathlene House Hotel, Strathlene outdoor swimming pool and beach and onward to the offshore rocks of Craigenroan and the Moray Firth. Indeed, a footpath led from the station down to the hotel and beach area and a visit to Strathlene was a popular day out by train before and during World War II. In 1936 Buckie Town Council proposed to change the name of the station to Strathlene but LNER declined suggesting instead that the Town Council erect their own large sign on Strathlene Golf Course that could be seen from the train. A retired passenger carriage was available for rent at the station.

The event with the largest number of participants is the annual METU Spring Festival, a five- day-long series of open-air concerts and exhibitions held at the main campus. There are various traits shared by METU students, including the usage of an English–Turkish jargon (METUrkish, ODTÜrkçe as once named by an alumnus artist in an art project) which apparently stems from the fact that English is the language of instruction covering academic processes and student life (and blending into campus language similar to Persian, Arabic and later French in the past blended into Turkish to form Ottoman technical language), which reputedly is not liked much by the students of other universities; and the omnipresent word "Hocam" (meaning "My Teacher"), which is used by METU students to address anyone from bus drivers to senior faculty members. Underneath this phrase lies the philosophy that everyone has something to learn from each other. The main campus has dormitory capacity for nearly 7,000 students who benefit from the shopping center, banks, post office, and a wide variety of sports facilities, including gymnasiums, tennis courts, basketball and football fields, jogging trails, Olympic-size indoor swimming pool, and an outdoor swimming pool.
