When these four elements work together to create something into appearance, it is called bringing-forth. This bringing-forth comes from the Greek poiesis, which "brings out of concealment into unconcealment". This revealing can be represented by the Greek word aletheia, which in English is translated as "truth". This truth has everything to do with the essence of technology because technology is a means of revealing the truth.

This image illustrates Herodotus's version of the tale of Gyges (as told by Herodotus, Gyges watched the naked queen secretly, but is seen by her as he is sneaking out of concealment). An earlier artistic treatment of the same subject, by Dosso Dossi, is now in the Galleria Borghese . Authors throughout ancient history have told differing stories of Gyges' rise to power, which considerably vary in detail, but virtually all involve Gyges seizing the throne after killing the king, Candaules, and marrying Candaules' widow.

Boyd did not order an assault until the middle of the afternoon. On the American right, the 21st U.S. Infantry under Colonel Eleazer Wheelock Ripley advanced and drove the British skirmish line back through the woods, for almost a mile. Here they paused to draw breath, and were joined by the 12th and 13th U.S. Infantry from Coles' brigade. (Where Swartwout's other two regiments were at this point is unclear). Ripley and Coles resumed their advance along the edge of the woods, but were startled to see a line of redcoats (the 2nd/89th, on Morrison's left flank) rise up out of concealment and open fire.

In 2017, Williams-Davidson wrote "Out of Concealment", a book of surreal photo montages that celebrate the female supernatural beings of Haida oral tradition. In 2019, Williams-Davidson, alongside her stepdaughter Sara Florence Davidson, published a children's book titled "Magical Beings of Haida Gwaii" which features ten supernatural beings of ancient Haida storytelling and presents them in a visual medium that engages children and teaches them empowering and meaningful examples of living in balance with nature. Williams-Davidson is also the creator of the Haida Box of Knowledge, an Oracle Deck of 34 cards featuring Haida Gwaii's female supernatural beings. The cards also feature art by Robert Davidson and share the knowledge and wisdom attributed to each of the female figures passed down through traditional Haida oral narratives.
