Hector Guimard was born in Lyon on 10 March 1867. His father, Germain-René Guimard, was an orthopedist, and his mother, Marie-Françoise Bailly, was a linen maid. His parents married on 22 June 1867. His father became a gymnastics teacher at the Lycée Michelet in Vanves in 1878, and the following year Hector began to study at the Lycée. In October 1882 he enrolled at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs, or school of decorative arts.

Carberg's father, Calvin Nicholas, was the Jets' team doctor from 1962 to 1987, and her uncle, James A. Nicholas, was a team orthopedist credited with saving Joe Namath's career. Carberg grew up in Babylon, New York, and made mock drafts as a hobby. She played college basketball at Wheaton College for two years before transferring to Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, she received permission from head football coach Woody Hayes to attend team practices.

Rudolf Robert Maier (April 9, 1824 – November 7, 1888) was a German pathologist who was a native of Freiburg im Breisgau. He studied medicine at the University of Freiburg, where one of his instructors was orthopedist Louis Stromeyer (1804–1876). He furthered his medical training in Vienna with Carl Rokitansky (1804–1878), Joseph Hyrtl (1810–1894) and Josef Skoda (1805–1881), and in Würzburg under Rudolf Virchow (1821–1902). Hoke developed Northern ties when on January 7, 1869, he married Lydia Van Wyck, who was of a prominent political family from New York City. One of his brothers-in-law, Robert Van Wyck, was Mayor of New York City and another, Augustus Van Wyck, was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of New York, losing to Theodore Roosevelt. The Hokes had six children. Their son Michael Hoke became a famous orthopedist in Atlanta, Georgia and a founder of the Shriner's Children Hospital.

He won silver at the World Sprint Championships in Hamar and went on to become Olympic Champion on the 500 m at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. This made him the first American to win the 500 m since fellow Madison native Eric Heiden won the event in 1980. Heiden was in attendance as the team orthopedist. Albert Hoffa (1859-1907) Albert Hoffa (31 March 1859 – 31 December 1907) was a German surgeon, orthopedist and physiotherapist born in Richmond, Cape of Good Hope. He studied medicine at the Universities of Marburg and Freiburg, earning his doctorate with a thesis on nephritis saturnina. From 1903 he worked as an assistant at the orthopedic hospital in Lausanne, where from 1905 to 1948 he served as chief physician and director.

He was a house-surgeon, casualty and orthopedist at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in 1959-1960 until he began National Service with the Royal Army Medical Corps. He extended his National Service into a regular commission, before seeing service in Malaysia and Borneo. He then began to focus on preventive medicine and Malaria. From 1968-1972 he was on the staff of the British Military hospital, Singapore, was an instructor at the RAMC training centre and a deputy assistant director of Army health in the Ministry of Defence.

Gustav Biedermann Günther (1801–1866) Gustav Biedermann Günther (22 January 1801 in Schandau – 8 September 1866 in Leipzig) was a German surgeon and orthopedist. From 1818 to 1824, he studied medicine and surgery at the University of Leipzig, obtaining his doctorate with the thesis "Analecta ad anatomiam fungi medullari". While still a student, he embarked on a scientific journey with ornithologist Ludwig Thienemann to Norway and Iceland. In 1825 he began work as assistant to Johann Karl Georg Fricke (1790–1841) in the surgical department at the general hospital in Hamburg.

Also in 1937, Rosenthal's teaching certificates in respect of Hamburg and Leipzig were voided. However, he was able to return to his career as a freelance surgeon and orthopedist. He went back to Leipzig and set about rebuilding his medical practice to which, following his singing ban in 1938, he was able to dedicate himself more fully than before. Georg Joachimsthal (1863-1914) Georg Joachimsthal (May 8, 1863 - February 28, 1914) was a German orthopedist who was native of Stargard in Pommern. In 1887 he earned his medical doctorate from Friedrich Wilhelm University with a dissertation on scoliosis titled Zur Pathologie und Therapie der Skoliose, and afterwards remained in Berlin as an assistant to Julius Wolff (1836-1902). He received his habilitation in 1898, and two years later founded a private clinic. In 1908 he became an associate professor and director of the orthopedic university polyclinic in Berlin.

Albert Friedrich Veiel (June 8, 1806 – August 2, 1874) was a German dermatologist who was a native of Ludwigsburg. Jerry Colangelo On October 14, 1987, a group headed by Suns general manager and vice president Jerry Colangelo purchased the franchise from owners Richard Bloch, Donald Pitt and Don Diamond for a then-record $44.5 million. The TUSPM Shoe Museum includes roughly 900 pairs of shoes, 250 of which are on display on the sixth floor of the college building.
