Best known for starring as Cleopatra Ofoedo in the TV series Bad Education, Weruche was in 2015 nominated in the "Nollywood Actress of the Year" category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. In 2018, Opia starred alongside Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith in the sixth and final episode of series 4 of Inside No. 9 titled "Tempting Fate". Opia starred as Terry Pratchard in BBC series I May Destroy You, which first aired in June 2020. Opia holds a degree in Drama and Sociology.

Chinazo D. Opia Cunningham (née Opia, born May 17, 1968) is a physician, researcher, and Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She is also the Director of Diversity Affairs for the Department of Medicine. She worked on the frontlines during the HIV/AIDS crisis in San Francisco and in 2020 began working on the frontlines of the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in New York City. She also specializes in treating patients with addiction, overseeing a network using buprenorphine to treat people with opioid addiction.

In 1998, only Dup X and Scissal stayed aboard, working on a new demo with Kaluža, a young female MC. After her retirement in 1999, there were new members who made this group famous. Psicho, 2Jay, Apoka, Drone and in 2000, DJ Opia completed the group and started working on their first album, Blázni jsou ti... (Zee Prime 2001).

Of the approximately 1,000 people living in the two villages, four people were found dead and sixty-two were still missing months after the attack. The same soldiers set the villages ablaze, destroyed canoes and fishing equipment, killed livestock, and destroyed churches and religious shrines.

In 2017 Thiel directed, wrote and edited, Just a Couple starring his sister, Frieda Thiel, Michael Salami, Weruche Opia and Sean Sagar. The show is broadcast on BBC Three and is produced by Big Talk Productions. Thiel's first season won him numerous awards, such as favourite comedy production at Screen Nation and Debut Writer award at The Debbies The show's success also landed him on BBC's prestigious new talent hotlist by Idris Elba and Tony hall.

Opia Apito was born in 1695 in Cuba, daughter of a Taíno mother and a Spanish father, although she claimed to be a direct descendant of the warrior Hatuey (speculation tells her father was the adventurer Alejandro Ortega de Marquez, which would have made her a sister to Lucia Marquez). In 1707 her village was raided and her community was kidnapped and killed by the Spanish, but she was the lone free survivor, who fought, ran and survived in hiding for close to a decade. In 1720s she was hired by the Assassins as a guide and was soon adopted into their ranks. Once promoted to Assassin Bureau leader, she built an agile and highly effective "ghost" bureau near the Cayman Islands.
