The Beechdale Bridge, also known as the Burkholder Bridge, is a historic covered bridge in Brothersvalley Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Township Route 548 crosses Buffalo Creek on the bridge, southwest of Berlin. The Burr truss bridge was built in 1870 by an unknown builder and is owned by the county. A distinctive feature of the bridge is the low sidewalls, which leave much of the structure open to view.

The distinguishing feature of the euphonicon is that the iron harp frame projects from the body on the left, such that the bass strings are open to view. It also has unusual stringing and tuning arrangements, and an early example of drop-action. Rather than a single soundboard, it has three soundbases which imitate the appearance of the cello (behind the bass strings), viola (behind the tenor strings) and violin (behind the treble strings).

While identity is a volatile, flexible and abstract 'thing', its manifestations and the ways in which it is exercised are often open to view. On 17 April at the first pair of mines were blown and the rest ten seconds later. An attempt to counter-attack by the 2nd Company, SIR 105 but the attack lacked liaison with the flanking companies, since the mine explosion led to the approaches being open to view by the British.

A view of the working mill prior to WW2 The first and second floors of the mill show all the aspects of country life with re- constructions of interiors (parlour, kitchen and bedroom) from Victorian times and displays of farm implements, Ayrshire Whitework, lace, luggage, dairy work, wildlife, storage jars, a bee skep and stand, quoits, early vacuum cleaners, washing machines, blacksmiths' tools, etc. The single room in a cottars house has been re-created, complete with box-beds, girnal, swee and other features, such as the bible-chair. On each floor the restored mill machinery is open to view (hoppers, grindstones, wheel gearing, etc.) and on the ground floor is an exhibition of the stages in the restoration of the mill. The exhibition shows the enormous amount of work that had to be done to bring the mill back to life.

Nibrunesi Point was under the guns of the Royal Navy so was never used to fire on Anzac, however the well-concealed Turkish battery at Gaba Tepe, known as "Beachy Bill", was a constant menace. Private Victor Laidlaw wrote of the dangers posed by Beachy Bill in his diary: Despite the shelling and Turkish snipers, Anzac Cove was a popular swimming beach for the soldiers. At ANZAC it was a struggle to supply sufficient water for drinking and there was rarely any available for washing.
