After an eight-year hiatus, the Currie Cup restarted in 1946-47 with all eight provincial teams and Rhodesia, who would now feature permanently. In 1951-52, the competition adopted a two- tiered structure, which was retained in some format until 1999-2000 (except for a once-off recombination into a single division in 1960-61). From its inception until South Africa's international isolation in 1971, a promotion/relegation structure linked the two tiers, with the winner of the lower division generally replacing the last placed team from the top division -- although this was not adhered to every season. The top division generally consisted of four or five teams.

To get to Liskeard above the navigable river, the means of transport was on the backs of horses: the first wheeled wagon was introduced into the Liskeard district in 1790. quoted in As late as the 1830s, pack horses and mules were the general means of transport for goods throughout the county, once off the turnpike roads. Living conditions were primitive, particularly in the early years when few permanent structures existed suitable for surviving the harsh winter environment. No utilities such as power, water or telephone ran to the land; heating and cooking was by wood, kerosene or bottled propane, and lighting by candles or kerosene lantern. Drinking and bathing water was drawn from Black Turn Brook, or directly from the Coaticook River. Winter access was particularly challenging; once off the plowed state highway, the unmaintained dirt logging trails were frequently blocked by heavy, drifting snowfall accumulations, adding a half-mile hike in from the highway, with snowshoes, toboggans and cross-country skis much-desired items.

In May 2012 it was announced that Bullet for My Valentine would be playing at the South African music festival Oppikoppi, as well as a once-off gig in Cape Town alongside Seether and Enter Shikari. They were slated to play in the country for the Coke Zero Fest of 2009, but pulled out at the last minute to record Fever. It was confirmed on 6 August that the final recording session of the band's fourth studio record was complete, and that the album would be out sometime in late 2012.

The Breeze continued to broadcast in Wellington, and by 2000 the station was owned by CanWest, along with MORE FM and Channel Z, CanWest then purchased RadioWorks, and in 2001 The Breeze became part of RadioWorks collection of local once off station known as LocalWorks.

In June 1975, the Marrickville Women's Refuge Collective received approval for grants totalling more than $100,000 from the council and the Hospitals and Health Services Commission to cover the costs of furniture, equipment, a vehicle, and its first year of operating and salaries. In July, they received a once-off capital grant of $80,000 from the federal government. The grant was recommended by the South-West Sydney Regional Development Council and was to be used for the purchase of a suitable building to establish a refuge for women. Premises was purchased using $64,500 of the allocated grant and in December 1975 the women took possession of the purchased property at 60 Union Street, St Peters.

John Gilmore, Tucson Murders 1970 Following this, Gilmore published his second nonfiction, The Garbage People, a hardcover exploration into the lives of Charles Manson and the Family. During March, Dandenong and Werribee contested the Premiers Cup, a new (but ultimately once-off) sixteen-team knock-out competition featuring 1991 grand finalists from the VFA and the Victorian Amateur Football Association, and the premiers from twelve other suburban and major country football leagues in Victoria. Circumcision was performed upon the male children of Israelites to signify their external membership in God's people, not as a guarantee of true faith; the Old Testament records many Israelites who turned from God and were punished, showing that their hearts were not truly set on serving God. So while all male Israelites had the sign of the covenant performed on them in a once off ceremony soon after birth, such a signifier was external only and not a true indicator of whether or not they would later exhibit true faith in Yahweh. In the New Testament, circumcision is no longer seen as mandatory for God's people. However, there is compelling evidence to suggest that the Old Testament circumcision rite has been replaced by baptism.

There is resistance in some quarters the concept of surgery for migraine, on the grounds that it is unnecessarily invasive. On the contrary, others argue that to undergo a relatively minor and minimally invasive once-off surgical procedure is not as invasive as having to permanently take chronic medication, which in many people has unpleasant or intolerable side effects, or is ineffective. The original swamp buggy, known as 'Tumble Bug', was a tall, ungainly and strange- looking vehicle, riding on huge balloon tires, which could be used for everything from hunting expeditions deep into the Everglades to Sunday afternoon outings. An editorial in the Collier County News, a local Naples newspaper, claimed swamp buggies were "as important to Florida as the cow pony is to the west, in that they are the only practical means of transportation once off the main road." Swamp buggy races were invented in 1949, when a parade through the city was held and at the end of the parade, the men went to the mud to test their buggies with the crowd watching. The first event was free.

Labram assisted Major General Robert George Kekewich in preparing Kimberley's defenses prior to the siege; including the construction of a watch tower, search lights and a telephone system. Labram installed an emergency fresh-water supply system for the town and designed a bulk refrigeration plant for perishable foodstuffs, specifically for the storage of meat from cattle that had to be slaughtered as they could no longer be let out for grazing. During the siege Labram also built two armoured trains, manufactured munitions for the existing artillery available in the town, as well as a complete once- off gun affectionately named the Long Cecil after the chairman of De Beers, Cecil Rhodes. Many of the tools needed for the manufacture of the gun had to also be manufactured in the De Beers workshop.

Holowka acted as sound engineer on the 2006 freeware title I'm O.K – A Murder Simulator as a response to American lawyer Jack Thompson's "A Modest Video Game Proposal". Holowka met Derek Yu in the comments section of popular technology website Slashdot in a post regarding Jack Thompson's proposal and along with Chris Hanson and Phil Jones formed satire company Thompsonsoft for the once-off release. After its release Holowka introduced Yu to a project he had been working on independently, Yu was interested in the project and the two officially formed developer Bit Blot the week before the Independent Games Festival deadline. The project was released on 7 December 2007 under the title Aquaria, and was the recipient of the Independent Games Festival Seumas McNally Grand Prize for 2007.

The New Zealand Railways Department built its first home-built tender locomotives in 1894, using the wheel arrangement. Designated U class, they were supplemented by units built in the United Kingdom, which were sub- classed Ua. More were built in two batches in the United States of America by Baldwin and ALCO, arriving in 1898 and 1901. The American locomotives were sub-classed Ub. With the exception of a once-off ALCO Richmond type, the American batches were considered highly successful. A third batch of U class locomotives were imported from the United Kingdom, intended for provincial routes and sub-classed Uc. These locomotives were costly to operate, but could be worked hard and found use on the South Island's west coast, where blue bituminous coal was plentiful.

The 10 000 People Strong Grand Art Performance Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea "Great Party, Rosy Korea" (Korean: 조선로동당창건 70돐경축 1만명대공연 《위대한 당, 찬란한 조선》) was a once off artistic performance held on the 11th of October 2015 in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea. The performance was originally meant to be hosted on the evening of the 10th of October, however, this was moved back a day due to wet weather. The performance was held on a large floating stage in the middle of the Taedong River with the Tower of the Juche Idea as its backdrop. The audience was seating along the steps of the river as well as on seating in Kim Il-sung Square.

In 2007, the AFL announced that it would support a return of the State of Origin concept as a once-off carnival as part of the 150th anniversary of Australian rules football scheduled for 2008.AFL pushes state-of-origin The format of the carnival was not announced at this early stage. The media featured several opinions on how the series could work without unduly interrupting the AFL season. There were suggestions that each state be individually represented, with a two division format to ensure that there would be no one-sided matches between the stronger states and the weaker states, and there were also suggestions for Victoria to be divided into separate Metro and Country, both of which are features of the annual AFL Under 18 Championships.

When war broke out again in May 1756, Wright had a new ship ready for action, the St. George. Local authorities attempted to restrain Wright, but finally allowed him to leave port with a few guns on the St. George and four merchant vessels; once off-shore, Wright moved armaments which he had hidden in the merchant cargoes to the St. George and prepared his ship for battle. French merchants of Marseilles had outfitted a warship specifically to destroy Wright, but Wright managed to put the French ship to flight, although the St. George was damaged and he was forced to return to port. The local authorities in Livorno seized his ship and all other English shipping in an effort to maintain neutrality; they were not freed until September when two English warships forced their release by the Tuscan government.

The Mascom Top 8 Cup is played by the top eight finishers from the previous season of the Premier League. The quarter-finals and semi-finals are played as two-legged ties both home and away, with a once-off final. In the case where the scores are tied after the two-legged ties, the Away goals rule will apply to decide the winner. However, this rule only applies in the first 90 minutes. If the aggregate score and the away goals scored are level after the 90 minutes of the 2nd leg, the teams will proceed to extra time and the Away goals rule will be disregarded thereafter. The goal of Fig is to allow not only the traditional backing of a video game as with normal crowdfunding, but to also enable those that can invest in a game's development to receive a portion of the game's profits once it is released, in addition to other typical rewards that crowdfunded projects allow. During their initial growth period, Fig limited investors in such projects to those that have accredited assets of over $1 million, with plans that once off the ground, anyone will be able to contribute and invest in their offered projects. Due to the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act which changed how the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) treated crowdfunding, Fig will allow anyone to invest at a minimum of $1,000 into future campaigns starting in December 2015.

The trajectory in O'Siadhail's work first moves beyond the sense of despair which haunted his youth, through the collections of once-off poems into the architectonics of his larger thematic books. In 1978, O'Siadhail published his first poetry collection The Leap Year (originally written in Irish), which was a meditation on healing and nature set against an urban background. This was followed in 1980 by Rungs of Time (originally in Irish) which in an almost Edda-like style announced many of the characteristic themes that would dominate his work; and in 1982 Belonging (the last of this trio originally written in Irish) emphasised, by its title, relationships as a major theme. There were two more collections which contain a few of his best known poems, Springnight in 1983 and The Image Wheel in 1985, before he went full-time and began a series of books based on broad themes.
