The device used in the AVE incident was unable to explode because it lacked an initiation system. Shortly after the AVE incident, police identified an apartment in Leganés, south of Madrid, as the base of operations for the individuals suspected of being the perpetrators of the Madrid and AVE attacks.

On 20 May the chairman of European Parliament Jerzy Buzek expressed "great concern about deterioration of situation with human rights in Belarus" related to mass persecution of activists of "Tell the Truth!" campaign. He said that the EU may reconsider its relations with Belarus and demanded to "immediately stop repressions and persecution of civil society organisations and return on the track of democratization" from Belarusian authorities. Deep concern about repressions against the campaign "Tell the Truth!" was also expressed by the embassy of Great Britain, a presiding country in European Union. A similar concern was expressed by the Chargé d'Affaires of USA in Belarus Mark Boshetti and FIDH.

Glenveagh National Park, the largest in Ireland Donegal was voted number one on The National Geographic Traveller (UK) 'cool list' for 2017, and the area's attractions include Glenveagh National Park (formerly part of the Glenveagh Estate), the only official national park anywhere in the Province of Ulster. The park is a 140 km² (about 35,000 acre) nature reserve with scenery of mountains, raised boglands, lakes and woodlands. At its heart is Glenveagh Castle, a late Victorian 'folly' that was originally built as a summer residence. In 1943, a minesweeper fouled on what was then thought to be a shoal, eleven miles east of Cape Bowling Green. The captain marked on his chart an obstruction in about thirteen fathoms (24 m), dead on the track of vessels bound for Townsville. After the end of the war, the obstruction was investigated by the survey ship HMAS Lachlan. In 2010, Severn acted as an applicant for the movie Minor League: A Football Story directed by Clenet Verdi-Rose. The movie is a sport/comedy/drama about a struggling minor league football team that is not doing well and as their newly signed coach, Severn gives the team a second chance to change things around. Also in 2010, Severn acted as "The Beast" in the action movie called Kill Factor directed and written by Leo Fong. The plot is about a detective on the track of a serial killer in L.A. In late 2010, Severn played himself in Tetherball: The Movie directed by Chris Nickin.

Road running competitions are running events (predominantly long distance) which are mainly conducted on courses of paved or tarmac roads, although major events often finish on the track of a main stadium. Eventually the reader meets a woman named Ludmilla, who is also addressed in her own chapter, separately, and also in the second person. Alternating between second-person narrative chapters of this story are the remaining (even) passages, each of which is a first chapter in ten different novels, of widely varying style, genre, and subject-matter. All are broken off, for various reasons explained in the interspersed passages, most of them at some moment of plot climax. The second-person narrative passages develop into a fairly cohesive novel that puts its two protagonists on the track of an international book-fraud conspiracy, a mischievous translator, a reclusive novelist, a collapsing publishing house, and several repressive governments.

The inner sides of the wheels which were turned of in 1960 for driving on a tram track had to welded again.

At the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, Carlos volunteered for the Army, but was rejected on health grounds. He succeeded in his second application and became a private in the Queen's Westminster Rifles, but was commissioned into the 8th Battalion, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) as a Lieutenant in 1916. At the same time in 1890 a line known as the Outer Circle line opened, running from Oakleigh (on the Dandenong line) to Darling, continuing to Burnley (a further line of the Outer Circle junctioned north to Riversdale at Waverley Road, near to where East Malvern now is). The Outer Circle was closed in sections between 1893 and 1897 and the Burnley – Waverley Road line section was cut back to Darling in 1895. In 1929 when the Glen Waverley line construction began its first extension from Darling to East Malvern, it was on the track of the Outer Circle line up to a short distance nigh of the new East Malvern station. He hears of his old comrade John Blenkiron, and one day the American appears at one of the town's meetings; he passes a message to Hannay, arranging to meet in London. Blenkiron reveals that he has been hard at work for some time, around the world and undercover around England, on the track of a huge network of German spies and agents, with their head somewhere in Britain, leaking vital information to the enemy. Woolf's fiction has been studied for its insight into many themes including war, shell shock, witchcraft, and the role of social class in contemporary modern British society. In the postwar Mrs Dalloway (1925), Woolf addresses the moral dilemma of war and its effects and provides an authentic voice for soldiers returning from World War I, suffering from shell shock, in the person of Septimus Smith.
