A year later, he helped establish the grassroots coalition "Egyptian Movement for Change" or Kefaya (Enough), which opposed the prolonging of Mubarak's rule and the idea of grooming Mubarak's son, Gamal, for the presidency. Sabahi became the editor- in-chief of the newly created Al-Karama newspaper, the official paper of the party, until mid 2010. In 2006 Sabahi declared his support for the Lebanese resistance to Israel, and in 2008, he went to the Gaza Strip in an attempt to help lift the siege of the territory.

Specifically, at least at its origin, the Wecker was an organ of one of its radical branches, the Sozialistischer Turnverein (Socialist Gymnastic Association). The world first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, the USS Enterprise, the Navy's pride and joy, was not immune from dissention. In mid-1972 a number of dissident sailors on board began publishing a mock version of the ship's official paper the Enterprise Ledger. Called the SOS Enterprise Ledger, it was virtually identical to the original except that it contained an antiwar and rebellious message. The ship's commanding officer responded by issuing regulations prohibiting the distribution of literature he hadn't approved. Deutscher Morgen (also known as Aurora Alemã in Portuguese, meaning "German morning") was a German language Brazilian newspaper published between 16 March 1932 and December 1941. Self-proclaimed the "official paper of the Nazi Party in Brazil", it was the largest Nazi newspaper of that country. Installed in the neighborhood of Mooca, São Paulo during its early years and led by Hans Henning von Cossel, the Deutscher Morgen reported almost exclusively facts related to the Third Reich, disseminating statements made by Adolf Hitler and other exponents of the Nazi government. The publication of the newspaper began in March 1932, a year before Hitler's rise to power.

Killeen's main newspaper is the Killeen Daily Herald, which has been publishing under different formats since 1890. The paper was one of four owned by the legendary Texas publisher Frank W. Mayborn, whose wife remains its editor and publisher. The Herald also publishes the Fort Hood Herald, an independent publication in the Fort Hood area, not authorized by Fort Hood Public Affairs, and the Cove Herald, a weekly paper for the residents of Copperas Cove. The official paper of Fort Hood is The Fort Hood Sentinel, an authorized publication for members of the U.S. Army that is editorially independent of the U.S. government and military.

This subordination lead to a move from anarchism to partisan socialism, it combined with unsatisfaction with actions of the colonial administration and resulted in members of the FLT seeking to remove anarchists from the organization. Based on Ordzhonikidze's goal of improving coal output, in late August 1935 the Central Irmino mine, which had been producing below its quota, decided to have one miner overachieve his quota as a means to encourage all workers. To ensure things went smoothly, the selected miner would secretly be given assistance, though for appearances he would seem to work alone. Alexey Stakhanov was chosen for the task, and on the night of 30–31 August he mined a reported 102 tons of coal, 14 times his quota (though with the assistance of two helpers it worked out to just over five times his regular output). Stakhanov's achievement, a Union record for a single night of mining, was reported as a small news item in the 2 September edition of Pravda, the official paper of the Party.
