Zenith made electronics and radio history by producing the first totally portable multiband radio designed for standard and shortwave broadcast listening. Zenith went into production in 1942, but the US entry into World War II put a production halt to the "Clipper". Although no new consumer Trans-Oceanics were made, Zenith provided them for the war effort and continued to advertise and promote the Trans-Oceanic during World War II. Very few were produced (35,000), and not very many are in service presently, which makes this a very rare item. In December 1957, Eugene McDonald and Zenith engineers put Zenith Radio back into the news with the world's first portable transistorized multiband radio, the Royal 1000 Trans-Oceanic.

Law during the Republican era interpreted this to mean that widows held complete power over sons in control of the family property. The Kuomintang, which assumed power over China in 1911, publicly advocated for gender equality, though not very many changes in property rights went into effect until the enactment of the Republican Civil Code in 1930, which changed the definitions of property and family inheritance. The Code specified that family property legally belonged to the father, with no connection to the ancestral clan. Inheritance of this property was based on direct lineage, regardless of gender, so that sons and daughters would receive an equal share of family property upon the death of their parents.

The charge in the upper field, the plough, refers to Limbach's agricultural structure; the village was until not very many years ago still a purely agricultural community. When asked if he believed the political agreement in Poland earlier in the week had the possibility of becoming a model for Eastern Europe political reforms during an April 7, 1989 news conference, Bush said, "I would say that the roundtable development there in Poland is very positive, and I would certainly commend the parties getting together there. I go back to when we were there not very many months ago, and many of you were with me on that trip. I think the situation has moved so fast since that trip that I took a year or two ago that it's mind-boggling." The 2018 season started out in earnest, with the sole focus of the club to aim to do what not very many (if at all any in the last few years) new clubs have done in the Yorkshire Men's League – complete all of their fixtures. The formation of the club was met with a fair level of disbelief that the club would be a success but the club moved forward. It based its new home out of Westfield Sports Centre – a local Sports Centre on the South East side of Sheffield – in an effort to spread the games reach outside of the city. This resulted in a rather successful first batch of recruitment, with many players coming to try for the first time or coming back to the game after growing disillusioned with the sport due to previous experiences elsewhere.

The league hoped that the habit millions of viewers had of watching sports on Monday nights during the National Football League season would carry over to hockey in winter. Since ABC, which at that time carried Monday Night Football would also carry Monday-night Major League Baseball games during the 1976 season, the league tried to market this package to ABC affiliates in the hopes they'd pick it up and establish a year-round sports franchise on Monday nights. However, not very many stations picked up the package, and only a couple were ABC affiliates. During the 1975–76 season, the NHL Network showed selected games from the NHL Super Series as well as some playoff games. During the 1976–77 season, the NHL Network showed 12 regular season games on Monday nights plus the All-Star Game.

Although Curtius may have been writing about an empire vanished in his own day, the most straightforward approach assumes that he wrote in a window, 63 BC (start of the Roman Empire) through 224 AD. For further localization, the same imperial purple passage contrasts the civil wars of the Macedonians (Diadochi wars) due to failure to obtain a stable emperor, with an incident of the Roman Empire in which the risk of civil war was avoided by the appointment of a new emperor in a single night. Not very many incidents fit the description. Baynham summarizes the argument of Julius Nützell that the crisis might be the night of January 24/25, 41 AD, following the assassination of Caligula on that day. The Senate met on an emergency basis to debate whether the Roman Republic should be restored.

The Le Roy Brothers Marionettes performed at all of the popular state of the art theatres of their time including: Chez Paree, 5100 Club, Club Royale, Club Carnival, Roxy Theatre New York, RKO Palace Theatre, the Olympia, and The Normandie Roof. Their act opened for Danny Thomas, Rosemary Clooney, amongst others; while Joan Blondell occasionally participated with the marionette routine. Not very many vaudeville acts made the transition from live stage to television. The Le Roy Brothers Marionettes was one of the acts that did from television's "The Toast of the Town" (aka: The Ed Sullivan Show) Season 2 Episode 47 aired on August 6, 1950, had their own network TV show "Sandy Strong" sponsored by Ovaltine, and was on "The Mickey Mouse Club" Season 1 in 1955 With the transition to TV, some vaudeville performers became even more popular to become household names and segue onward to film.

The author of the novels, Julian May, prefers the term 'metapsychic' to the terms 'psionic' or 'psychic', which she considers mundane and un-evocative thus 'Metapsychic' powers are psychic abilities by another name. The psychic powers of Julian May's books are seemingly magical powers which go far beyond the 'simple' psychic abilities we more commonly think of, such as clairvoyance, telepathy, and telekinesis. The human race is a blend of 'operant' metapsychics (not very many, but more born every day), 'latent' metapsychics (uncommon, and unable to use their potential abilities for a number of reasons, but their offspring have a higher chance to be brought to operancy when born), and those with no useful metapsychic potential at all (most of humanity).
