In October 1967 Halwes raced in Sydney for the first time where he was beaten twice before winning the Spring Cup over Voice Derby then beating First Lee after giving him a 24 yard start at the handicaps. After a short break he won two more races at Harold Park before being beaten by nine yards by Raiarmagh Pool in the Summer Cup. The 1968 Inter Dominion was contested at Alexandra Park, Auckland. On the first night of the championships Halwes won by four lengths in track record time, a mile rate of 2.05 2/5 for 13 furlongs. On night two Halwes won rating 2.04 1/5 for 11 furlongs, his second track record in as many starts in Auckland.

Projected to be drafted higher, Canley was chosen by the San Francisco 49ers in the seventh round of the 1991 NFL Draft after severely injuring his hamstring muscle during the SJSU pro day. Hart was selected in the sixth round (202nd overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Third on the Colts depth chart behind Joseph Addai and Dominic Rhodes, Hart saw little action during the 2008 season, rushing for nine yards on two carries. During the second quarter of the Colts victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 6, Hart sustained a knee injury on an 18-yard reception from Peyton Manning. On October 15, Hart was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Hart missed the 2009 pre-season opener with an ankle injury. On September 5, Hart was cut by the Colts then was signed to the Colts practice squad on September 6. On October 4, Hart was reassigned to the Colts active roster, replacing Chad Simpson. On November 24, Hart was waived by the Colts. He was re-signed to the practice squad on November 25.

He then provided an assist for Anderson in the 76th minute to make the score 2–0 before being substituted. The match ended in a 3–0 win for United. Welbeck opened the scoring in an eventual 8–2 win over Arsenal. From outside the box, Anderson chipped the ball into Welbeck and he headed it over Wojciech Szczęsny.

Graczyk also scored both goals for the Huskies in their win over Notre Dame in the 2004 BIG EAST Tournament Championship Game. Graczyk found the ball just outside the box and nailed a left footed shot from about 20 yards out to tie the game for the Huskies with about 18 minutes left in the second half. Graczyk headed in a Karyn Riviere cross at 86:48 to give the Huskies a 2–1 victory to earn their Second BIG EAST Tournament Championship and give the Huskies their automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. In his first season at Texas A&M; in 2003, though Bryant was redshirted, he was named a team captain. In his freshman season, he became a defensive tackle and started in all games. He earned All-American and All-Big 12 honors from The Gridiron Report after making 34 tackles (3.5 of which led to a loss of nine yards), two deflected passes, and a blocked kick. In 33 defensive plays against the option, he was able to hold the opposing team down to 1.85 yards per carry. In his sophomore season, he started in 10 games, but saw action in all 11. Williams was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fourth round with the 134th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was the 13th running back selected in that year's draft. He was signed to his rookie contract on June 1, 2017. On September 10, 2017, in his NFL debut, Williams had two rushes for nine yards in a 17–9 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. In Week 9, against the Detroit Lions, he scored his first career rushing touchdown. On December 3, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he had 113 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. In a surprise move, after Weis insisted it would not happen, the Irish wore their alternate green jerseys for the game. Two plays later, New England faced a third down and 7, but quarterback Tom Brady scrambled 12 yards to the 5-yard line for a first down. Then wide receiver Deion Branch caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Brady on the next play.

The Lions' pass rush kept the Buccaneers from attempting long passes, despite the injury-riddled nature of the Lions' secondary. Doug Williams brought the team to within one point on a three—yard touchdown run and a 2-yard pass to James Owens. A late fourth-quarter interference call against Bobby Watkins gave the Buccaneers field position on the Detroit 13-yard line.

On just the third play after Virginia Tech's punt, Frost ran the remaining five yards, crossing the goal line for a touchdown. The extra point was good, and with 9:14 remaining, Nebraska took a 10-7 lead. Before the subsequent kickoff, Virginia Tech committed a 15-yard personal foul penalty, allowing Nebraska to kick off from the 50-yard line instead of the regulation 35-yard line. The kick resulted in a touchback, and Tech started from its 20-yard line. Oxendine picked up nine yards on a rush, and Parker earned another seven yards for a first down at the Tech 36. Oxendine then ran three consecutive times for 17 yards and a first down. After Parker was stopped for no gain, Druckenmiller ran the ball himself for a seven-yard gain and a first down at the Nebraska 40-yard line. Oxendine gained one yard on a carry to the left, but on the next play, Druckenmiller was sacked for an 11-yard loss, negating the minor gain. Druckenmiller then completed a 24-yard pass to Oxendine, but the play was negated by a holding penalty against Virginia Tech, effectively resulting in a loss of 34 yards and pushing the Hokies back to their 33-yard line.
