In the episode, "A Call to Arms", Pamela finally allows herself to trust John Ross after she discovers her father was behind the explosion that killed her unborn twins; a fact that John Ross warned her about, but she initially refused to believe. The following episode, "Love & Family" saw the couple's spontaneous Las Vegas wedding giving John Ross ownership of Pamela's shares of Barnes Global. Gonzalo initially thought it was too soon, but realized the "brilliance" of the dynamic it would create between the newly weds and their respective exes.

She made her début at the Nya Teatern in Gothenburg in the spring of 1866 as Laura in Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson's De Nygifte (The Newly Weds) and from 1867 performed in the recently established Svenska Teatern in Stockholm where from the start she was acclaimed as one of the most talented actresses. She was engaged by the Royal Theatre from 1872 to 1877.

Sebastià must marry a woman of prominence to keep his land and inheritance. To squelch gossip of his relationship with Martha but still keep her as his lover, Sebastià marries her off to the unsuspecting Manelic, a young shepherd from the Pyrenees, and sets the newly weds up in the house attached to the town's mill. Martha finds herself torn between her old domineering lover and her new caring husband.

The quiet honeymoon is ruined as a murder investigation begins and the house fills with policemen, reporters, and brokers' men distraining Noakes' hideous furniture. Noakes was an unpopular man, a miser and (it turns out) a blackmailer. He was assumed to be well off, but it transpires that he was bankrupt, owed large amounts of money, and was planning to flee his creditors with the cash paid for Talboys. The house had been locked and bolted when the newly-weds arrived, and medical evidence seems to rule out an accident, so it seems he was attacked in the house and died later, having somehow locked up after his attacker.

Alphonse looks at the bloody but empty bed as a terrified Harlan throws himself through the apartment window to his death on the street below.

Pavlos and Christina's relationship becomes much more serious after he is diagnosed with a potentially fatal blood condition, the first time they don't make it to the altar and both decide to not turn up to their wedding. The second time, Christina goes to the wrong church on the day of the wedding, however they finally marry and soon after they marry, a male donor is found for Pavlos' condition and all is well. The film opens as Bing, a famous radio singer, makes a farewell appearance at a night club and sings 'My Silent Love' which he follows, by request, with 'Auf Wiedersehen, My Dear'. Later he happens to board a train at the same time as a young lady, Marian, and they are mistakenly showered with confetti intended for another party, The passengers and train porter assume they are newly-weds and present them with a perambulator and two baby dolls. Marian, failing to recognise him, tries to impress by saying that she is engaged to Bing Crosby. When she says that it is the first night she has not heard Bing sing, he tells her that he has a portable radio.

Upon the marriage of their daughter Lily Vera Montague Clarke to Major George Landale in 1910, one of the guns (donated by the Victorian government) was gifted by Lady Clarke to the newly-weds who transported it to "Dunwilly Station", near Deniliquin. The setting of the film was defined by the elaborately realistic yet evocative set which Lazare Meerson devised to depict a street of Parisian tenements, populated by familiar archetypes of 'ordinary life': the young newly-weds, the pickpocket, the street singer. The Cuckoo Waltz is a British television sitcom produced by Granada Television for the ITV network between 1975 and 1977 and in 1980, written by Geoffrey Lancashire (with John G Temple, Series 1 and 2) produced and directed (Series 1 and 2) by Bill Gilmour and produced (Series 3 and 4) by John G Temple. The series, which was set in 1970s and early 1980s Manchester, dealt with the comic complications that ensue when impoverished newly-weds Chris and Fliss Hawthorne (David Roper and Diane Keen) take in lodger Gavin Rumsey (Lewis Collins) to ease their financial problems. Collins left after three series and was replaced by Ian Saynor as Adrian Lockett in the fourth series. The series was re-screened by now defunct Satellite TV channel Granada Plus in the late 1990s and early to mid-2000s.
