Today at the Rapid 2019 conference in Detroit, SmileDirectClub announced that it's making a major investment in HP's industrial Multi Jet Fusion systems.

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) dispenses millions of drops of chemical agent per second — similar to what the company pioneered with 2D paper printing — onto a thin layer of powdered material, while instantly curing it.

Multi-jet meters normally have bronze alloy bodies or outer casings, with internal measuring parts made from modern thermoplastics and stainless steel.

Multi-jet meters are very accurate in small sizes and are commonly used in ⅝" to 2" sizes for residential and small commercial users. Multi-jet meters use multiple ports surrounding an internal chamber to create multiple jets of water against an impeller, whose rotation speed depends on the velocity of water flow. Multi- jets are very accurate at low flow rates, but there are no large size meters since they do not have the straight-through flow path needed for the high flow rates used in large pipe diameters. Multi-jet meters generally have an internal strainer element that can protect the jet ports from getting clogged.

So jets sized for full power tend to starve the engine at lower speed and part throttle. Most commonly this has been corrected by using multiple jets. In SU and other variable jet carburetors, it was corrected by varying the jet size. For cold starting, a different principle was used in multi-jet carburetors.

There are two common approaches to flow measurement, displacement and velocity, each making use of a variety of technologies. When flow rates drop to where the high flow element cannot measure accurately, a check valve closes to divert water to a smaller element that can measure the lower flow rates accurately. There are several types of meters that measure water flow velocity, including jet meters (single-jet and multi-jet), turbine meters, propeller meters and mag meters. The Suzuki Splash meets the criteria in the European market of the compact car. The Splash's body size relative to the Suzuki Swift (second generation, ZC # system) - also a compact vehicle - is smaller; even more so than the Takashi Tamotsu, also 30 mm the wheelbase is shorter 2,360 mm. The engine cylinder in the three series (K10B type) 1.0-litre is a petrol engine, a four-cylinder (K12B type) 1.2-litre which is the series made by Fiat 1.3-litre and is available with a four-cylinder direct injection diesel multi- jet engine, 5 MT or 4 AT, and with various other combinations. In 2008, Suzuki under the management of General Motors (GM), supplied the Splash from GM related to its subsidiary in the European OEM.

On January 5, 1967 an international incident was narrowly avoided when a TGM-13 Mace, launched from Santa Rosa Island, which was supposed to circle over the Gulf on a racetrack course for shoot-down by a pair of Eglin F-4 Phantoms, instead, headed south for Cuba.
