Upon graduating from college, Bayani was hired by GMA Network as one of the production staff for the then noontime show Lunch Date. When the show was reformatted to SST: Salo- Salo Together, he was absorbed into the new show and started appearing occasionally as an extra during the show's segment skits. He eventually started appearing on camera (he was introduced by the mononym Bayani) since then as the show's resident sidekick and comic relief, until SST: Salo-Salo Together moved to an earlier time slot to give way to erstwhile rival Eat Bulaga! in the GMA noontime slot.

He stated on a Facebook post how he heard from multiple participants that they were disqualified because they didn't know their pool assignments in time. Jebaily himself was disqualified from the Killer Instinct tournament due to a no-show after his pool was moved to an earlier time. Joshua McWhorter, Tekken General organizer for Final Round 19, described the state of the show as "inexcusable", though he took issue with the accusation that his staff did not go all out on providing a "great experience".

The start times and bell schedules of the middle and high schools were changed and moved to an earlier time to minimize transportation costs. Middle School grades were changed from previously 7-8 grade to 6-8 on the West side and 5-8 on the East side. East Elementary school which formerly shared a building with East Middle school was closed to accommodate the new grades in the middle school. The former K-4th graders at East El. were sent to nearby Clinton Street Elementary School or Northwood Elementary School and the former 5th and 6th graders at East El. moved to East Middle school.

On September 5, 2013, WWKB flipped to sports radio under the brand ESPN 1520AM. The ESPN Radio affiliation had previously been on WGR from the network's launch in 1992 until 2013; WGR's increased emphasis on local programming (and, since The Phil Hendrie Show moved to an earlier time slot, a lack of progressive talk programs to air in the overnight hours) prompted Entercom to move the ESPN affiliation to a full-time signal. After the second series of Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch had finished airing, it was later announced due to the popularity of the first two series that there would be a third series to air in 2017. It was officially announced on 19 July 2016 that CBBC had ordered a third series of Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch, the third series is due to start in early 2017 on the CBBC channel. The series will be made up of 15x15 minute episodes. The third series will carry on airing on Fridays same as series two, however, the series has been moved to an earlier time slot and will air at 7:45 am making it earlier than past series which have all aired between 4 pm and 5:30 pm.

On September 14, 2020, One PH announced that Jay Taruc will be the newest anchor for the primetime newscast on October 5, replacing both Cosim and Lingao, as the said primetime edition will be airing its last broadcast on TV5 by October 2, reverting again to a satellite-exclusive newscast via One PH for the second time since February 28, and to be replaced by the newest primetime newscast, Frontline Pilipinas which will debut on the same day at the same time, thus placing the primetime edition being moved to an earlier time at 5:30 pm. It also presents new Segments such as Bilog ang Balita, Mojo:Mobile Journo, and Ride PH Group On October 2, 2020, On the Hola Segment report on its Afternoon edition, it was announce that Cosim will move to the newscast's original noontime edition as its main anchor, replacing Tulfo, which will remain on air on TV5 until October 16, to give way for its blocktime variety show Lunch Out Loud on October 19.

Same-day episodes would be broadcast on kinescope for Western audiences, as Keeshan would not perform the show live three times a day. For the first three months, Captain Kangaroo was only seen on weekday mornings. From December 1955 until 1968, the show was also seen on Saturday mornings, except in the 1964–1965 season, when it was replaced by a Keeshan vehicle called Mr. Mayor. Except for pre-emption by news or special events, notably the four-day continuous coverage which followed the November 22, 1963 assassination of John F. Kennedy, and a few shows that were 45 minutes, the show aired a full 60 minutes on weekday mornings until 1981. It was broadcast in color from September 9, 1966 onward. The audience of children could never compete in the ratings with such entertainment/news shows as NBC's Today, although Captain Kangaroo won Emmy Awards three times as Outstanding Children's entertainment series in 1978–1979, 1982–1983, and 1983–1984. In the fall of 1981, to make more room for the expansion of The CBS Morning News, the Captain was moved to an earlier time slot of 7:00 am and cut to 30 minutes, sporting the new title Wake Up with the Captain.
