He was named to his seventh consecutive and ninth career Pro Bowl.
Its spawning run starts earlier than that of other salmon species. After spawning, most passing fish die, and those that remain alive (preferentially dwarf males) participate in spawning the next year, too. Emerging from the nest, the young do not travel to the sea immediately, but remain in spawning areas, in the upper reaches of rivers, and on shallows with weak currents. The young move to pools and rolls of the river core to feed on chironomid, stone fly, and may fly larvae, and on airborne insects.
Not known for his running ability, Bevell scrambled 21 yards down the left sideline for a touchdown that ultimately secured the victory. The following season, Bevell again guided the Badgers to a winning season. They defeated the Duke Blue Devils 34–20 in the 1995 Hall of Fame Bowl, giving Wisconsin back- to-back bowl wins for the first time ever. Bevell finished his college career with 19 school records, including most passing yards in a single game (423) and in a career (7,686).
The next year, as a junior, he was named the starting quarterback. For state school pupils, there is patchy STEM participation - Hampshire has the most passing STEM subjects in England and in the region, followed by Kent, Surrey and Buckinghamshire. For STEM subjects, Portsmouth is lowest by some distance (6 people passed A level Chemistry) - almost the worst in England, and also Southampton gets low STEM subject results. Bracknell Forest gets low STEM results, for its economic prosperity, but does not include private schools. For languages, the best is Kent - the county gets the most A level language passes in England, although Hampshire is a close second.

Rivers led the league in passing yards, throwing for a career-high 4,710 yards – 10 yards more than second-place finisher, Peyton Manning. The Chargers started off the year slowly again at 3–5 and finished a disappointing 9–7 and their four-year reign as AFC West champions ended while they missed the playoffs. In Week 3 against the Seattle Seahawks, Rivers threw for 455 yards and two passing touchdowns in a losing effort 20–27. These 455 yards broke the franchise single-game record for most passing yardage, previously held by Dan Fouts, who had 444 in 1982.

Named the team's Most Valuable Player, he set the single-season records in passing yards, total yards, pass attempts, and completions. He also left with the fourth-most passing yards in Irish history. Jackson was drafted in the seventh round of the 2000 NFL Draft, and, although he was the only player from the team drafted, nine others signed free agent contracts with NFL teams. The year ended on a bad note for the Irish program, as the NCAA placed the program on probation for two years after a number of major secondary violations by the university and others involved in athletics.
They allowed the most passing touchdowns in a season in NFL history as they allowed 45, effectively making them the worst passing defense in NFL history. They also set the NFL record in opposing passer rating (116.2), while finishing last in points allowed (29.8) and yards allowed per play (6.6). Atrocious play by defensive captain Brandon Browner, who set the NFL record for most penalties with 23, did not help the struggling Saints defense. Defensive coordinator Rob Ryan was fired near the half-way point in the season and was replaced by senior defensive assistant Dennis Allen.
The 2018 race featured a field of 118 cars. The Pursuit features all heat race winners and the drivers with the most passing points among non-winners in a 25-lap race where drivers must pass other cars or be eliminated at the end of each of the first four segments. After four five-lap segments, the remaining drivers will participate in a five-lap race for the win. The 39-lap Clauson event, named for an organ donor charity in Clauson's memory, features heat races and last-chance races similar to the Chili Bowl in its format.
Tannehill seemed to fix his tipped ball problem by having zero passes batted down in week 2. By the end of week 3, Tannehill had completed less than 53% of his passes, and also had only 1 touchdown to four interceptions. Two weeks later against the Arizona Cardinals, Tannehill threw for 431 yards surpassing the Dolphins' single-game record for most passing yards by a rookie quarterback set by Dan Marino in 1983. Tannehill's mark was one yard shy of the NFL's single-game passing-yard record by a rookie quarterback, set by Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in 2011.

In January 2016, Taylor was hired by University of Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Tommy Tuberville to be the Bearcats' offensive coordinator. According to Taylor, Jim Turner, who had been an offensive line coach for the Dolphins, was the one who connected him with Tuberville. Taylor was seen as a "rising star in the coaching ranks" by the Bearcats, thanks to his experience in the NFL and his job developing Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Under Taylor's mentoring Tannehill became only the second Miami QB with multiple 3,000-yard seasons, as well as totaling the third-most passing yards for a QB in his first four seasons in NFL history, with 15,460.

The loss was a sign of things to come as the Giants started the season with an 0–6 record, their worst regular season start since 1976. He threw 12 interceptions in his first five games. Manning fell to 0–3 against his older brother, Peyton in Week 2's 41–23 loss to the Denver Broncos.

The Elon program had just one win versus the FCS (I-AA) top 25 prior to that stretch. Elon knocked off nationally ranked Georgia Southern in back-to-back years (2007 and 2008) and secured a victory at #7 Wofford in 2007, defeating the highest ranked opponent since being classified in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision. Under Lembo, Phoenix quarterback Scott Riddle (2007-2010) set NCAA records for the most passing yards by a freshman (3,738) and passing per game in a career (with 339.8).

His injury kept him out for the rest of the season and with McIvor as quarterback the Longhorns went 1-2 at the end of the season. The season started well as he set the school record for most passing yards in a game, with 306, versus Rice and reeled off five straight wins, including one over #12 Oklahoma to climb to #2 in the rankings.
Shortly after being named Cal's head coach, Dykes stated that the "most important hire that I make is hiring a defensive coordinator that will come in and get to work from Day 1 and get a defense established." He further stated that his number one job was to "hire the best defensive coordinator I can find in the United States." In one of his first major decisions as head coach, Dykes hired Andy Buh to serve as his defensive coordinator. In Dykes' first season, the California defense surrendered the most passing yards in Division 1 college football history, leading to it becoming the worst defense in the nation.

Huard's junior season in 1998 began with an improbable win at Arizona State, but it quickly deteriorated with an embarrassing loss at Nebraska. Huard went on to set many UW records, but because the Huskies experienced their first non-winning season since 1975, Huard's legacy remains mixed. (Washington finished 6–6 after a loss to Air Force in the Oahu Bowl, and head coach Jim Lambright was fired.) Many fans openly called for Huard to be benched in favor of sophomore Tuiasosopo. Still, Huard held school career marks for most passing yards (5,742), touchdown passes (51), 300+ yard games (4), attempts without an interception (151) and ranks second in 200+ games (14) and total yards per game (191.4).

Only three quarterbacks have ever thrown for over 500 yards more than once in their career; Drew Brees and Tom Brady did so twice, and Ben Roethlisberger did so three times. Brady is the only quarterback to have thrown for over 500 yards in a postseason game, doing so in Super Bowl LII.
When trains from the north-west of England started running through to Southampton in the 1920s, the proprietors of the DN&SR; hoped their line would provide the north–south link, but in fact most trains were routed via Reading west curve, using the faster lines with greater capacity. During the 1930s the line was downgraded, with the removal of most passing loops and signal boxes that were not in stations. Station staff numbers were also reduced. At the same time, the section of line around St Catherine's Hill, north of the Hockley viaduct was moved west by around to allow the construction of the Winchester Bypass section of the A33 (now itself removed following the building of the M3).
