Hanson and Davey Boy of Sputnikmusic both praised the song; Hanson described it as "one of the most inspired songs [Rise Against] have written to date", while Boy wrote that "'Savior' sees absolutely everything come together perfectly to make for one hell of a song". Burgess felt that "Savior" was one of three Appeal to Reason tracks that would "satisfy anyone still uneasy about Rise Against's radio aspirations". Bob Hoose of Plugged In complimented the positive and hopeful lyrics.

Planetary Assault was notable for the fact that it featured 19 different artists rapping in 6 different languages. In early 2007, Pioneer Unit artists Ben Sharpa and KONFAB caught the attention of BBC Radio 1's Mary Anne Hobbs who described them as "two of the most inspired and agile lyricists in the world today." Ben Sharpa was invited to perform at the BBC Introduces stage at the Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts (Glastonbury) in June 2007.

The Saga of Mayflower May is Marissa Nadler's second full-length studio album, released in 2005 on US label Eclipse Records, and distributed later that year in Europe by British label Beautiful Happiness. The album followed the breakup of her relationship with her previous collaborator, Myles Baer. She explained, "Heartbreak was like water to a plant for my songwriting. I hate to say it was one of the times where I was feeling the most manic and the most inspired".

Ware's move to more electronic textures divided the critics. In his review for AllMusic, Sam Samuelson called it "his most inspired record thus far" and said "This recording is not to be missed". Pitchfork's Christopher Dare was less inpressed stating "I'll leave it to the listener to decide whether the good half of an album makes it worth the purchase. Unfortunately, the other half weakens all its supports with some tacky choices regarding sound palettes and dynamics-- deconstruction in the least clever sense".

Peter Schunck had visited several department stores throughout Europe to find inspiration. He was most inspired by the architecture of a department store in Nantes, France, 'Les Grands Magasins Decré' by Henri Sauvage (1932), and thus the building was built in Bauhaus-style by architect Frits Peutz. She commented on the latest trends, describing the Dreadshock look adopted by Posers as "the most inspired expression of teenage individualism yet".Quoted in "Striking a pose with the Dreadshock kid", Rick Witcombe, The Guardian, 30 December 1983, p. 7. She was supportive of Karl Lagerfeld's updating of the Chanel look in the early 1980s, saying "All the stuff pre-Karl was so-o-o square." Dimitri Ehrlich of Entertainment Weekly graded the album "B+", saying the album shows "James at its most inspired and unpredictable" and called the album "a joyride of a record." The Harvard Crimson said "Wah Wah is not ear candy, like much of Laid; it's meant to get inside your head, and that may be a bit more than you're in the market for when you slap down your money at HMV." Rolling Stone were also favourable to the album. Retrospective reviews were more positive.

In November 2008, Van Morrison performed two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California playing the entire Astral Weeks album. The band featured Jay Berliner who played on the original album. Morrison toured performing the album live throughout most of 2009, with Rolling Stone calling these concerts "some of the most inspired performances of his whole career". A live album entitled Astral Weeks Live at the Hollywood Bowl was released by Morrison's record label, Listen to the Lion, on 24 February 2009.

163 In a retrospective, four-star review, Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic stated that "most of the record is far more daring than its predecessor". For him, although there were moments that the album was "unfocused and meandering ... the best moments of Zooropa rank among U2's most inspired and rewarding music". Zooropa finished in 9th place on the "Best Albums" list from The Village Voices 1993 Pazz & Jop critics' poll. At the 36th Annual Grammy Awards, it won the award for Best Alternative Music Album.

Chris Taylor from MusicOMH was less impressed, and wrote that the song was "not one of Kylie's most inspired singles". Pitchfork reviewer Nick Sylvester called the song "a return to big sound Fever electro, but with subtler production: all the hacksaw synth is pushed back and sanded off, so Kylie's head voice doesn't have to go through eight additional filters to compete with the bristle". "Giving You Up" entered at number eight on the Australian Singles Chart. It lasted seven weeks in the top fifty.

' The Parsifal performances of 1882 were artistic events of supreme interest and it is my pride and joy that I participated in them." Hugo Wolf was a student at the time of the 1882 Festival, yet still managed to find money for tickets to see Parsifal twice. He emerged overwhelmed: "Colossal – Wagner's most inspired, sublimest creation." He reiterated this view in a postcard from Bayreuth in 1883: "Parsifal is without doubt by far the most beautiful and sublime work in the whole field of Art.

The King separates them with apologies to Fluellen and promises of gold to Williams for showing honor and bravery. Fluellen tries to add a small amount to Williams' purse, but Michael Williams replies to him; "I will none of your money." In his review of Laurence Olivier's version in 1944, reviewer James Agee calls this exchange "the most inspired part" of the play, as Michael Williams presents the only challenge to Henry in any way, and almost the only personal conflict. Williams' bravery and intelligence is shown as a spur to Henry's own conscience.

Le Testu's Cosmographie Universelle, the sumptuous atlas he presented in 1556 to Coligny, Grand Admiral of France, constituted a veritable encyclopaedia of the geographic and ethnographic knowledge of the time.

His penetrating, sometimes prophetic and always highly enlightened reflection, place him amongst the most inspired philosophers. He was made director of the théâtre des Arts, from 1907 to 1909.

" Todd McCarthy, writing in Variety, called the film "one of the most inspired and technically stunning pastiches of old Hollywood pictures ever to come out of the New Hollywood. But a pastiche it remains, as nearly everything in the Coen brothers' latest and biggest film seems like a wizardly but artificial synthesis, leaving a hole in the middle where some emotion and humanity should be." James Berardinelli gave a largely positive review. "The Hudsucker Proxy skewers Big Business on the same shaft that Robert Altman ran Hollywood through with The Player.

" The race drew superlatives from many observers. Edward Bowen, editor-in-chief of the Blood-Horse magazine, wrote, "It was a three-filly finish that left its witnesses uplifted and drained at the same time, a moment that leapt fully grown into history." Steven Crist of the New York Times named it his racing moment of the year, adding "It might be another 80 years before racing offers so stirring a moment." William Nack, writing for Sports Illustrated, called it "one of the most inspired and inspiring moments in recent memory.

The game featured several lead changes and a most inspired effort by Deuce McAllister, who rushed for almost 150 yards and two touchdowns, one receiving and one rushing. New Orleans won its first divisional playoff game in team history, 27–24, and only the second playoff win in franchise history. The Saints then traveled to Chicago to face the Bears in the team's first ever NFC Championship appearance, where they ended up falling short in the title game, 14–39. New Orleans led the NFL in total yards gained and passing yards in the 2006 season.

The review at Louder Than War calls the album "more magic from a national treasure" commenting that "you never lose the knack of writing a good tune, and it's something that has never left Marc". The limited edition EP Tasmanian Tiger was reviewed separately by The Quietus who feel it is "another reason to treasure one of the music world's most inspired and restless mavericks". Thom Jurek at AllMusic calls The Dancing Marquis album "a glorious tease" and states that "there is a bit of everything here", from ballads, glam waltzes, pulsing synths, and modern pop.

Paul Friedlander became fascinated by art involving the use of movement and light in the late 1960s, when he visited the Cybernetic Serendipity exhibition at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Kinetics show at the Hayward Gallery. He was most inspired by the works of the cybernetic artists Nicolas Schöffer (1912) and Wen-Ying Tsai (1928). Since then he has been strongly driven to make kinetic works. In 1983 he made an important discovery of the chaotic properties of spinning string and invented chromastrobic light 'light that changes color faster than the human eye can see'.

" Chuck Taylor from Billboard said that "I'm Alive" demonstrates a stylistic "left turn, with its throbbing tribal rhythms and a loose, sky- grazing vocal from Dion." The "percolating" Humberto Gatica Mix "adds juice" to the album version, while the uptempo Wake Up Mix, with assistance from Ric Wake and Richie Jones, is Dion's most "inspired and festive" remix to date, with Blondie's "Heart of Glass" woven into the beat to "splendid effect". Neal Sky of Pop Dirt named it a "bubblegum-radio-song". Sal Cinquemani of Slant Magazine called it one of "the album's standout tracks", naming it "an uplifting midtempo number.

Venmegam was his next release, which was said to be about the bond between an artist, played by Vidharth, and a school girl (played by Jayashree Sivadas). He then played a mini bus driver named Velpandiyan in S. P. Rajkumar's romantic comedy Pattaya Kelappanum Pandiya. His other releases that year were Aal, a remake of the Hindi film Aamir and reportedly the first Tamil film to be shot in Sikkim at the India-China border, and Kaadu, a film based on the subject of deforestation. With regard to Kaadu, The New Indian Express wrote that it had Vidharth's "most inspired performance post Myna".

However, West decided to use the opportunity to review the album, and The College Dropout was significantly remixed, remastered, and revised before being released. As a result, certain tracks originally destined for the album were subsequently retracted, among them "Keep the Receipt" with Ol' Dirty Bastard and "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" with Consequence. West meticulously refined the production, adding string arrangements, gospel choirs, improved drum programming and new verses. On his personal blog in 2009, West stated he was most inspired by The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and listened to the album every day while working on The College Dropout.

They saw deviations from orthodox Christianity as heresies that were essentially Jewish in spirit. Tertullian implied that it was the Jews who most inspired heresy in Christianity: "From the Jew the heretic has accepted guidance in this discussion [that Jesus was not the Christ]." The use of the word heresy was given wide currency by Irenaeus in his 2nd century tract Contra Haereses (Against Heresies) to describe and discredit his opponents during the early centuries of the Christian community. Jones, p. 179 The pianist Graham Johnson calls it an "enchantingly mournful serenade of a persistent, if unsuccessful lover … Fauré distilled to the essentials". Both Johnson and Vladimir Jankélévitch find an autumnal quality in the song, despite the reference to "la saison nouvelle". The Fauré expert Jean-Michel Nectoux rates it among the composer's most inspired songs, and groups it with "Le Ramier", Op. 87, No. 2 and "Chanson", Op. 94 as "a kind of homogenous triptych … a cheerful but nostalgic farewell, the last sparks of the galant madrigal which Fauré had practised for so long".

A second single, "The Meeting Place", was issued in 1987. Demos of "Let's Make a Den", "The Troubles", "Find the Fox", and "Terrorism" were remixed at Crescent Studios and released as bonus tracks to the singles. Both "Grass" and "The Meeting Place" reached No. 100 on the UK Singles Chart. Tim Sommer of Rolling Stone praised the album as "the most inspired and satisfying piece of Beatle- esque pop since ... well, since the Beatles" and drew favourable comparisons to the Beatles (Revolver, Rubber Soul), the Beach Boys (Pet Sounds) and the Kinks (Village Green Preservation Society).

The original recorded version of "Hand in Glove" is in the key of G minor. The song begins with an overdub of Marr playing a harmonica over the rest of the music. Simon Goddard wrote that Marr's use of the instrument "purposefully evoked the very same 'blunt vitality of working-class "northernness" that Ian McDonald attributes to The Beatles' parallel 1962 single 'Love Me Do', though infinitely more melancholy." Of the backing music, Goddard wrote, "Marr's redolent minor chord wash weeps with a rain-soaked hopelessness while Rourke contributes one of his most inspired bass patterns".

Groff Conklin characterized Earthlight as "a fairly standard type of melodrama [but] developed with all of the author's abundant ability to make even melodrama plausible.""Galaxy's 5 Star Shelf", Galaxy Science Fiction, June 1955, p.117 Floyd C. Gale stated that the novel had "some of the most inspired descriptive writing in or out of science fiction ... a thoroughgoing delight ... Worth reading and rereading". Anthony Boucher praised the novel as a convincingly real, scientifically detailed story of the near future, yet infused with that sense of wonder and excitement that we sometimes think vanished from literature about the time our voices changed.

O'Hara was generally praised for her performance though some critics thought that Laughton stole the show. One critic thought that was the strength of the film, writing: "The contrast between Laughton as the pathetic hunchback and O'Hara as the fresh-faced, tenderly solicitous gypsy girl is Hollywood teaming at its most inspired". After the completion of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, World War II began, and Laughton, realizing his company could no longer film in London, sold O'Hara's contract to RKO. O'Hara later professed that this "broke my heart, I felt completely abandoned in a strange and faraway place".

The orchestra played attentively, and López Cobos conducted with great skill, emphasizing the moments when Rossini was at his most inspired and making it easy to overlook passages in which the composer's powers of fantasy had faltered. The audio quality of the album was excellent, with the singers and instrumentalists balanced judiciously and projected clearly. In sum, Philips's recording was "an issue that should be in all operatic collections worthy of the name."Gramophone, September 1979, pp. 518-521 François Bouchot's 1834 portrait of Maria Malibran as Desdemona William Livingstone reviewed the album on LP in Stereo Review in December 1979.

Katehi has stated that this motivated her to mentor women and other underrepresented minorities pursuing careers in engineering and the sciences. Katehi has stated that she was drawn to electrical engineering as a teenager in 1969, when she watched Neil Armstrong’s Apollo 11 Moon landing. While captivated by the astronauts, she was most inspired by the engineers in mission control on Earth. After two years working as a researcher at the Ministry of National Defense's Naval Research Lab in Athens, she was encouraged by a mentor to apply to graduate school at University of California, Los Angeles.

The British literary scholar Christopher Ricks relates the following lines to Tennyson's childhood home at Somersby Rectory in Somersby, Lincolnshire, particularly the poet's departure after the death of his father. :Unwatched, the garden bough shall sway, :The tender blossom flutter down, :Unloved, that beech will gather brown, :This maple burn itself away. Arthur Conan Doyle quotes the lines "Oh yet we trust that somehow good/ will be the final goal of ill" and the two stanzas beginning "I falter where I firmly trod" in his novella The Tragedy of the Korosko (1898), where the poem is called "the grandest and the deepest and the most inspired in our language".

Because of personal and creative differences, but also (and perhaps more-so) because of the lack of attention the band received from their label, the band went their separate ways shortly after the release of Forever Autumn, though they were still contractually bound to deliver one more album for Black Mark Production. This being the case, Brennare and Sahlgren retreated to the studio to record The Neonai, an electronica-influenced album relying on drum machines and uncharacteristically slick production values. The resulting album was released in 2002, and featured some of the band's most inspired songwriting and memorable melodies, regardless of the hasty manner in which it was composed and recorded.

The title and release date of Carver City were confirmed in January 2009, with Ginsburg describing the album as "more inventive and more layered than our past releases, with the most melodies, textures and riffs of any CKY album ... by far the most inspired album we have ever made". The album cover artwork, designed by Travis Smith, was revealed in March. The first song released from the album was lead single "Hellions on Parade", which the band made available for free download in April 2009, before its release later in the month. The full album was streamed exclusively on the website Noisecreep ahead of its release.

His last recording session with Viva La Musica was in 1996. He has performed with several major world music, reggae singers and bands including The Hooligans, Pierpoljak, Tonton David, Princess Erika, Nèg' Marrons, Ijahman Levi, Bisso Na Bisso, Secteur Ä, The Wailers1, Alpha Blondy, Barrington Levy, R.M.I (Reggae Music International), Queen Ifrica, Tony Rebel, etc. Richacha's mentor was Mando (a former Rochereau Tabu LeyRochereau Tabu Ley and Afrisa drummer) and was later most inspired by Carlton BarrettCarlton Barrett (Bob Marley’s drummer). That’s why some songs recorded with Viva La Musica in the late 1980s and beginning of the 1990s have that Reggae Root Snare sound.

B. J. Novak called the dress-up experience "fun", noting that "seeing the most serious of our plotlines play out alongside such silly and bizarre visuals was, I think, one of the most inspired ideas of the episode's writer, Greg Daniels." The idea for Pam to be dressed as a cat was inspired by several unused stories, created by Gene Stupnitsky, in which "Pam Beesley must disguise herself as a cat". The plot lines were vetoed by the shows writers, but Stupnitsky successfully petitioned to allow Pam to wear a cat costume. "Halloween" marks the last appearance of Devon in an episode until the series finale, seven seasons later.

Unsurprisingly, the soundtrack was far superior to the film. Likely inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s habit of inserting snippets from his films between cuts, Yoakam chose to do the same here, but only serves to lose the listener with its ill-placed breaks and uninteresting dialogue. The actual songs, however, are some of Yoakam’s “most inspired efforts.” The soundtrack is anchored by four gospel songs, including a contemporary take on the hymn “Who at the Door Is Standing” (a duet with Bekka Bramlett), the traditional “The Darkest Hour,” the Yoakam-original “The Last Surrender,” and “It Is Well with my Soul,” which Yoakam sings with only piano accompaniment.

Myrick said he and fellow Blair Witch director Eduardo Sánchez wanted to "tap into the primal fear generated by the fact-or-fiction format like Legend of Boggy Creek". In an Orlando Sentinel article that ran on Halloween, Myrick identified The Legend of Boggy Creek as the one film that most inspired him. On September 2, 2010, Pierce was inducted into the Arkansas Entertainers Hall of Fame in a ceremony at the Arkansas Governor's Mansion in Little Rock. Pierce is part of the plot of the 2014 film The Town That Dreaded Sundown, a meta-sequel to Pierce's 1976 film of the same name.

AllMusic awarded the album 3½ stars; describing it as "among her best, most inspired and memorable projects," reviewer Alex Henderson cites Vitro's willingness to depart from the "all-standards-all-the-time" formula: > Vitro -- true to form -- also surprises us with some gems that jazz > vocalists haven't paid nearly as much attention to, including Tom Harrell's > "Terrestris" and Ivan Lins' "I Just Need Your Kisses." Clearly, Vitro is > smart enough to realize that a song doesn't have to be a Tin Pan Alley > warhorse to have value, and she knows how important it is for a jazz > vocalist to put his/her stamp on some lesser known pearls.

He painted several hundred portraits, usually of friends, family members, or prominent people in the arts, sciences, medicine, and clergy. Taken en masse, the portraits offer an overview of the intellectual life of Philadelphia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries; individually, they are incisive depictions of thinking persons. In addition, Eakins produced a number of large paintings that brought the portrait out of the drawing room and into the offices, streets, parks, rivers, arenas, and surgical amphitheaters of his city. These active outdoor venues allowed him to paint the subject that most inspired him: the nude or lightly clad figure in motion.

On AllAboutJazz Farrell Lowe begins his review “The Freaky Deaky is back!,” referring to Scofield's time playing with Miles Davis, “this is the most inspired playing I have heard from John Scofield in many years.” “Scofield inhabits a place in which the cerebral and the funky ... form an alliance and work together for the common good,” Alex Henderson writes in his four-star- review on AllMusic, and concludes: “Up All Night is a consistently engaging addition to his sizable catalog.” Whereas on JazzTimes Nate Chinen writes in his critique, “Scofield and crew acquit themselves flawlessly to the material, but ... there are no real clunkers on the album (despite a cheeky "Watch Out for Po-Po," which comes close).

UCSD Guardian writer Taylor Hogshead said Plumb "may be the duo's most inspired work to date", though he said there were "a handful of throwaways that seem half-heartedly attached merely for their technical elegance", like "Ce Soir" and "So Long Then". Mike Evans of Electric City gave the album a mixed review, calling Field Music a "polarizing band" whose intricacies you either love or find too intrusive.. Not all reviews of Plumb were positive. Daniel Orr of The Westmorland Gazette wrote: "It wasn't for me, but it might be for you." PopMatters writer Ian King described the album as ornate and "noble, if occasionally unbalanced" that is "both rapturous and jumpy".

Having considered Harlow for the film's location, he decided finally to shoot in Canterbury, a choice strengthened when he discovered that Brenda Blethyn, whom he had cast in a role 'that was to be one of his most inspired creations',Michael Coveney, The World according to Mike Leigh, p. 144 came from nearby Ramsgate. He also needed two adjacent houses, one semi-detached and privately owned, one a council house. Two such houses were found (at Nunnery Road/Oxford Road, just to the south the city centre) and most of the film - (though the opening sequence follows a removal van around Canterbury in the shadow of Canterbury Cathedral) - stays in and around that location.

"La sed verdadera" (English: "the true thirst") has been considered "one of the most inspired, intimate, and personal tracks that Luis ever recorded." Spinetta opens the song: "I know you have heard about me/And today we see each other here/But peace/In me you will never find it/If it is not in you/In me you will never find it" (Spanish: "Sé muy bien que has oído hablar de mí/Y hoy nos vemos aquí/Pero la paz/En mí nunca la encontrarás/Si no es en vos/En mí nunca la encontrarás"). Spinetta stated that the song's lyrics are about the "intimacy" and "immensity" of being.Diez, 2012 [2006]. p.

Michal Cole uses her artworks as a form of celebration and examination of the human condition while inviting the viewer to contemplate the beauty, joy, and humour of life set against the uncontrollable social, economic, political and religious injustices and hypocrisies that inevitably affect us. She is specifically fascinated by moments of transition – economical transitions, religious shifts, the collapse of beliefs and infrastructures and loss of faith. Cole attempts to envision the possibility of order born from chaos and mayhem, creativity out of destruction and inspiration derived from man’s fallibility and stupidity. The artist Cole is most inspired by is Caravaggio due to his rebelliousness and insanity, and the eroticism, drama and violence of his work.

" Phil Freeman of Alternative Press gave the album four out of five stars, saying "Manslaughter is a ferocious, heavy record that proves once again that Ice-T and company are undeniable metal contenders, far more than a pop-cultural footnote." Jon Hadusek of Consequence of Sound gave the album a B-, saying "Lyrically and musically, Manslaughter is easily Body Count’s most inspired work since their self-titled debut, because it sounds like a reconciliation of all the misconceptions the band had to deal with in the past. It’s a statement of intent this time: They want to be heard, no matter who gets offended or pissed off. If you can’t take it, don’t listen.

According to him, on both versions Dion "embraces a particularly restrained performance – dramatic enough to steer the track's emotion, but still delicate to offer comfort". "I'm Alive" demonstrates a stylistic "left turn, with its throbbing tribal rhythms and a loose, sky-grazing vocal from Dion".
