Cumston Hall is a historic community building at 796 Main Street in downtown Monmouth, Maine. Built in 1900, it is one of the most flamboyant examples of wooden Romanesque Revival architecture to be found in a small-town setting in the entire state. It was a gift to the town of Dr. Charles M. Cumston, and presently houses the local public library and local theatrical companies. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

It is one of Stombuco's most flamboyant residential designs, erected at the pinnacle of his success in Queensland. Ironically, construction of the building may also have been a strong contributory cause to his near insolvency in the late 1880s/early 1890s. Stombuco had obtained title to the Sans Souci site in 1886.

The French gave the building back to the Italians, and it opened as the Italian school on November 5, 1949. Miriam F. The San Francisco Mining Exchange was a regional stock exchange in San Francisco. Formed in 1862 to facilitate the trading of mining stocks as the San Francisco Stock Exchange, the Chicago Tribune described the exchange as "once the West's most flamboyant financial institution." It sold the name San Francisco Stock Exchange to the San Francisco Stock and Bond Exchange in December 1927 and was renamed the San Francisco Mining Exchange. The exchange agreed to deal solely in mining securities as part of the same deal, and also sold its building at 350 Bush Street to the San Francisco Curb Exchange.
Malcolm Alexander Allison (5 September 1927 – 14 October 2010) was an English football player and manager. Nicknamed "Big Mal", he was one of English football's most flamboyant and intriguing characters because of his panache, fedora and cigar, controversies off the pitch and outspoken nature. Allison's managerial potential become apparent while in his youth at West Ham United, where he became a reliable defender and acted as a mentor to the younger players including future England World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore. His playing career was cut short in 1958 when he had to have a lung removed because of tuberculosis.

Grove They worked mainly with a saltglaze stoneware, fired at a high-temperature with salt thrown into the kiln during firing to create the ceramic glaze, which fused with the clay and gave a surface which could be glassy or matt depending on the conditions of each firing. Whereas many stoneware glazes are coloured and obscure the body underneath, the saltglaze method served to highlight the impressed and incised decoration on the surface of their pots. The colours included browns, greens, greys and blues, and this subdued palette is distinctive of Martinware. In 1864, all the French territories in southern Vietnam were declared to be the new French colony of Cochinchina. Garnering the support of French-Canada (helped in a large part by his relationship with Antoine Labelle), Allan’s railway gained major benefits in Quebec, including a $1 million subscription from the City of Montreal.
Stokes was described, by authorities, as: "the richest and most flamboyant drug dealer on [Chicago's] South Side"; further stating that "[he] was known to win or lose as much as $250,000 over a single weekend in Las Vegas" – and that he "seldom missed a night at local race tracks". Although Stokes owned a local pool hall, law enforcement officials stated that Stokes was officially listed as "unemployed"; and that he declared gambling income on his tax returns to account for his wealth. Unbeknownst to Stokes, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was concluding an investigation and was preparing to serve him with a federal grand jury indictment for "drug racketeering, operating a continuing criminal enterprise and income tax evasion". Garfield Hammonds, assistant special agent in charge of the Chicago Drug Enforcement Administration said, "Chicago has lost one of its biggest sources of supply for cocaine and heroin", regarding Willie Stokes.
The first two buildings benefited from Lavirotte's collaboration with Alexandre Bigot, a chemistry professor who imported the technology of making glazed earthenware tiles, which he had seen at the 1889 Paris Exposition. His firm provided the exterior decoration for Lavirotte's most famous buildings, as well as for works by the other prominent art nouveau architects, Three of his buildings were awarded prizes in the Paris facade competition, which gave prizes to several buildings each year; The Lavirotte Building (1901), at 29 Avenue Rapp, his most flamboyant and famous work, known for its extravagant sculpted portal; The Ceramic Hotel, 34 Avenue de Wagram, 8th arrondissement (1904), which also featured ceramic decoration by Bigot; and the building at 23 avenue de Messine in the 8th arrondissement (1906-1907). His last two major Paris buildings, next to each other at 23 Avenue de Messine and 6 rue de Messine, were in a more subdued style, with less flamboyant decoration, but with refined craftsmanship and sculptural ornament.
Arguably the most flamboyant of Lawson’s work in South Yarra, Beverley Hills can be broadly described as Spanish Mission style, but in Lawsons own eclectic version, with a dash of Hollywood-esque glamour. The style was particularly popular in California, New Mexico and Florida and brought together elements of Spanish Baroque with a romanticized image of the simplicity and monastic qualities of the early Californian Spanish Missions. Brought to Australia in 1918 by Leslie Wilkinson, professor of Architecture at Sydney University, the style was popularized by many Hollywood stars during the interwar period, and became associated with glamour and luxury, influencing a number of up-market homes in and around Sydney.Richard Apperly, Robert Irving and Peter Reynolds, ‘A Pictorial Guide to Identifying Australian Architecture’, Angus & Robertson Publishers, 1989, pp.172-179 As evident in the name ‘Beverley Hills’, a clear reference to upscale Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, Lawson’s otherwise modest flats express the opulence and grandeur of 1930s Hollywood, even featuring an under-water window into the swimming pool. Architecturally, the building features the motif of a circle and a cross in the balustrading and detailing, seen in much of Lawson’s work.
