Leonor de Cisneros (1536, in Valladolid – 26 September 1568, in Valladolid), was a Spanish Protestant who was executed for heresy by the Spanish Inquisition and regarded as a Protestant martyr. Her case belongs amongst the most famed of the Spanish Inquisition. Leonor de Cisneros married the lawyer and scholar Antonio Herrezuelo, or Herezuello, (known also as "The Bachelor Herezuello de Torro") in 1553. In 1554, she and her husband became members of the secret Protestant congregation, or "conventicle", in Toro, which was founded by Carlos de Seso and comprised about 70 people.

The river's most famed faunal member is the freshwater Ganges river dolphin (Platanista gangetica gangetica), which has been declared India's national aquatic animal. Bouboulina 1959 Is set during the Greek Revolution of 1821 against the occupying Ottoman Empire and its Sultan Mahmud II (1808-1839). The Ottoman Empire was caught off guard and reacted in disbelief that the Greeks would stage an unprovoked revolt against its far greater occupant. Women played a crucial role in the revolution, most notably in the town of Mani located in the coast of Southern Greece where out of 1500 combatants fending off an Egyptian and Turkish attack, 1000 were women. Laskarina Bouboulina remains the most famed female revolutionary fighter.

George Poulett, second son of the fourth Earl. The sixth earl was heavily involved in steeplechasing as a racehorse owner whose cerise and blue colours were most famed for being carried to victory twice in the Grand National, in 1868 and 1871, by a horse called The Lamb. On the death of the 6th Earl, a dispute arose (see below), and the outcome was that the earldom and other titles were awarded to the 6th Earl's son by his third wife, who became the seventh Earl Poulett. He fought in the First World War as a Captain in the Royal Horse Artillery and died of influenza in 1918.

MC Flasher (born Simon Pribac) is a Slovenian-Canadian electronic music performance artist. As a longtime resident and art director of Slovenia's most famed club Ambasada Gavioli, MC Flasher has been the developer of new wave techno MC-ing and the creator of Ambasada's ideological structure in years 1998 to 2005. During his techno career he collaborated and performed with several other artists, including Takkyū Ishino, Sven Vaeth, Claude Young, Luke Slater, Dee Lite, Josh Wink), DJ Umek, Billy Nasty, and Craig Walsh. He is also the organizer and artistic director of the annual Music and Art festival The Final Flash, which takes place in Slovenia.

In the nick of time (Greek: ; "Sto Para Pente") was a popular Greek comedy- drama television series which was broadcast on Mega Channel for two seasons, from September 27, 2005 until June 18, 2007. The script was written by Giorgos Kapoutzidis, who had also written the successful Greek TV series, Savvatogenimenes, that aired on that same network for the 2003-2004 season. The director was Antonis Aggelopoulos. Being an instant critical and popular success, Sto Para Pente was the biggest television hit of both the 2005-2006 and the 2006-2007 seasons and is regarded as one of the most famed and successful shows in Greek television history.

Creag Meagaidh () is a mountain on the northern side of Glen Spean in the Highlands of Scotland. It is a complex mountain, taking the form of a flat summit plateau from which five ridges radiate, and is most famed for the cliffs surrounding the corrie of Coire Ardair on the north-eastern face. These crags are a renowned venue for winter and ice climbing, although being somewhat vegetated they are less suited to summer climbing. The name Creag Meagaidh is also applied to refer to the neighbouring peaks of Stob Poite Coire Ardair and Càrn Liath which together may be termed the Creag Meagaidh range.

The Kalan minaret is known more properly as Minâra-i Kalân (Persian/Tajik for the "Grand Minaret"). It is also known as the Tower of Death because for centuries criminals were executed by being thrown from the top. The minaret is the most famed part of the complex, which dominates the historical center of the city in the form of a huge vertical pillar. Zofia Dmuszewska (1785–1807) was a Polish stage actor and opera singer. She was born to the actor August Petrascha and married in 1805 to her colleague Louis Adam Dmuszewski. Cuckoo Bush Mound is the alleged site for the tale of the Wise Men of Gotham's attempt at fencing in the cuckoo, but is actually a Neolithic burial mound. It is about three thousand years old and was excavated in 1847 The village is most famed for the stories of the "Wise Men of Gotham". These depict the people of the village as being stupid. However, the reason for the behaviour is believed to be that the villagers wished to feign madness to avoid a Royal Highway being built through the village, as they would then be expected to build and maintain this route.

Yue Jin () (died 218), courtesy name Wenqian, was a military general serving under the warlord Cao Cao in the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. He was noted as much for his short stature as for his valour and ferocity on the battlefield. Yue Jin participated in most of Cao Cao's early military exploits, and gained multiple successes in the campaigns against Lü Bu, Liu Bei, remnants of the Yellow Turban rebels, and Yuan Shao and his associates. He was particularly praised as a capable vanguard, but his most famed accomplishment came with his supporting role in the defence of Hefei against Sun Quan's forces at the Battle of Xiaoyao Ford of 214–215.

Frome Cricket Club plays cricket at the Agricultural Showgrounds on the Bath side of town. The club was formed in 1925 and plays in the West of England Premier League: Somerset Division. Somerset County Cricket Club used to use the ground and Harold Gimblett made his debut at the venue in May 1935. Finch founded the Finch school in 1900 to provide career training for young women, saying that her own education at Barnard College had not given her or her classmates the skills needed to earn a living. Although the Islamic mathematicians are most famed for their work on algebra, number theory and number systems, they also made considerable contributions to geometry, trigonometry and mathematical astronomy, and were responsible for the development of algebraic geometry. Al-Mahani (born 820) conceived the idea of reducing geometrical problems such as duplicating the cube to problems in algebra. Al-Karaji (born 953) completely freed algebra from geometrical operations and replaced them with the arithmetical type of operations which are at the core of algebra today.

First page of the manuscript Manuscript 512 (Portuguese: Manuscrito 512) is a ten-page manuscript of dubious veracity and unknown authorship that relates the discovery of a "lost city" in the Brazilian province (now state) of Bahia by a group of bandeirantes in 1753. Originally found in 1839 at the National Library of Brazil, where it is kept to this day, the document describes curious sights, monuments, and artifacts of Graeco-Roman appearance found by the group in the abandoned settlement. The manuscript is one of the most famed documents of the National Library's collection and some Brazilian historians consider it "the greatest myth of national archaeology",Langer, J. Mount was one of the first artists to specialize in the American rural social scene; before his time their existed a certain feeling among artists that the daily life of rural America was not worthy of their high calling. Napoleon's Tomb designed by Visconti Son of the Italian archaeologist and art historian Ennio Quirino Visconti, Visconti designed many Parisian residences, public buildings and squares, including the Place Saint Sulpice and the overall design of the Fontaine Molière, and was briefly the official architect for the Louvre under Napoleon III. He is probably most famed for designing the 1842 tomb of Napoleon at Les Invalides. His students include Joseph Poelaert, designer of the Palais de justice de Bruxelles. Louis Visconti came from a famous family of archaeologists - his grandfather Giambattista Antonio Visconti (1722-1784) had founded the Vatican Museums and his father, Ennio Quirino Visconti (1751-1818), was a curator. Ennio and his family moved to Paris in 1798 and were naturalised as French citizens in 1799, with Ennio becoming a curator of antiquities and paintings at the Musée du Louvre.

The quality of iron from the Woodstock mines was world-renowned in its day as being one of the best quality irons available of the time. During the first provincial exhibition held in Saint John in 1851 the report issued from the commissioners stated that the Woodstock iron appeared to be of top quality having bent and twisted the iron, while cold, in multiple directions there was no visible damage to the fiber. The most famed tale of Woodstock`s iron and its impressive quality is that in 1865 the English Admiralty instituted several experiments at Shoeburyness England in order test the resistance of iron plate against heavy ordnance, allegedly in the trial every plate of iron was shattered by the shot fired at it, except for one triple plate made from the Woodstock iron, this piece only sustained an indent, this caused an immediate interest in the product. Several more tests followed and resulted in great success.

Deland was engaged in her father's travelling Deland theater company from 1847 until 1861. She often performed a dance at the end of the performances of the Deland theater "with a cachucha, performed in a Spanish costume in a very delightful way and with some of her father's French grace".H.
