These colorful characters try to outmaneuver each other to score their ultimate garage sale treasure: an antique board game worth a fortune.

Among the many friends Lonardo made while living briefly in New York City were several who later became important mafioso, including Nicola "Uncle Cola" Gentile (a powerful mafia figure who played a major role in peacekeeping among crime families and helped create The Commission in 1931) and Salvatore "Toto" D'Aquila. D'Aquila, who was rapidly expanding his influence in New York City and was heavily involved in bootlegging, began supporting Lonardo in his efforts to establish himself as the sole boss in Cleveland. According to Gentile, Lonardo "worshipped" D'Aquila "like a god" and was one of D'Aquila's most avid supporters even though D'Aquila tended to murder any of his associates who grew too rich and powerful.

During that time, the group continued to tour in new territories, such as French Guyana and the United States. The arrival of a new EP in 2013 announced the beginning of an intense tour across Canada, the United States and France, inciting the attention of the various buyers in the concert industry. In 2016, after years of international touring, the Nomads left their mark on the genre’s most avid fans as they launched a new album on the Coop Les Faux-Monnayeurs label entitled The Big Band Theory, a well-received musical trip into an organic international universe tinted with soul, jazz and funk. This album allowed them to open-up new markets, particularly in Europe and Latin America. Having entered their 15th year as a group, Nomadic Massive proved itself to be a true mirror of today’s big cities and the cultural blend they generate.

Finally, Chandler added a track of his very own, "Sunny," which attempts to find hope in even the most tragic of events—an ongoing, trademark theme of The Choir. Because the band viewed Flap Your Wings as an independent release for their most avid fans—using the Cornerstone Festival as the launching pad for its release—The Choir created a raw and unvarnished sound for the album, more akin to Speckled Bird than Circle Slide. As a result, the band was as stunned as anyone else when they learned that Flap Your Wings had been nominated for a 2002 Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album, the first for The Choir after almost 20 years of recording. Although the band was the front-runner in an online Christianity Today poll of readers about which album they'd like to see take the Grammy that year, The Choir eventually lost to the multi-Grammy winning group dc Talk for their EP, Solo.

Abdallah also kept opponents from competing with him in the arena of legitimate politics by reshuffling his government and amending the 1978 constitution. As part of what one observer wryly called the process of "remov[ing] his most avid successors from temptation," Abdallah pushed through a constitutional amendment in 1985 that abolished the post of prime minister, a move that made the president both head of state and head of the elected government.. The amendment also diminished the status of Ali Mroudjae, the erstwhile prime minister and a likely future candidate for president.. Another 1985 amendment took away many of the powers of the president of the National Assembly, including his right to become interim head of state in the event of the incumbent's death. The amendment transferred the right of succession to the president of the Supreme Court, an appointee of the head of state. Feeling the effect of this second amendment was assembly president Mohamed Taki Abdoulkarim, another man generally regarded as presidential timber.
