Chrissie finds a love letter in her mother's belongings from a man named Ronnie Hale (John McArdle), and becomes convinced that he is her father. However, she is unaware that the love letter is actually to Lawrence and that Lawrence and Ronnie were having an affair while Lawrence was married to her mother.

Jimmy's speech earns visibly emotional expressions from the panel and from Kim. He wins reinstatement and then stuns Kim by revealing that his speech was actually an insincere performance. When the panel's secretary arrives to lead Jimmy to the office where he'll fill out the paperwork so he can regain his law license, he asks for a doing business as form and states his intention not to practice law under the name "McGill". As he walks down the hall, an even more shocked Kim asks Jimmy what he's doing.

A young student named Akira has saved up a large sum of money to buy the latest and best personal computer - only to find out they are sold out. He then finds what he thinks is the same model number in an alley, and buys the large boxed-up machine from a shady character nearby. When he gets home, Akira is shocked to find that his new computer is a bio-android shaped like a pretty young lady. He is even more shocked when she tells him that she constantly needs his semen to refresh her physical memory.

Laddu babu is heartbroken at this development and is even more shocked when he gets to know that the real reason Murthy had befriended him and taken him home was to marry his mother Madhuri. Torn between the guilt of having stolen from Madhuri who was so nice to him and the heart rending deceit of Maya, Laddu babu agrees to marry the twins his father had set up for him. If he married them he would make money that he could use to pay back Madhuri.

In the second season, Torello and his cops are shocked when Ray Luca and Pauli Taglia reappear in Las Vegas alive and well... and even more shocked to learn that the U.S. government has made a secret deal with Luca and given him immunity in exchange for his cooperation. Assistant Attorney General Hallahan tells Torello that elements within the government have made a marriage of convenience for their own political agenda. The Starlights survive several direct battles with Galaxia herself, and help Sailor Moon defeat Chaos to save Galaxia. Takeuchi expressed surprise at Toei Animation's decision to make the Starlights lead characters in the anime adaptation, but was even more shocked by their treatment of the Starlights' sex. In the Italian dub, instead of changing sex, there were six people – the Three Lights were always men, and simply summoned their twin sisters instead of transforming, as the original depiction was very controversial in Italy. The Starlights are featured in several of the Sailor Moon musicals (Sailor Stars, Eien Densetsu, and their revised editions, plus Ryuusei Densetsu and Kakyuu-Ouhi Kourin).

In August 2018, McTighe was announced as one of the writers for the eleventh series of Doctor Who; his episode is the seventh in the series, titled "Kerblam!". The BBC press release quoted him as saying, "My entire television career has quite literally been an elaborate plan to get to write Doctor Who – and no one is more shocked than me that it paid off. I've been having the time of my life working with Chris, and writing for Jodie and the new team, and can't wait for everyone to see what we've been up to." Shocked that Barney and Marshall had lied to him, Ted declines the offer again. The story returns to the lecture, where Ted changes his mind and rushes to Barney to accept the job; he however forces Barney to take him out to dinner first, as Barney had stated he never took a woman out before "closing the deal" first. Meanwhile, Robin reveals she may not have gotten over her relationship with Don as easily as everyone thought; having accidentally seen him on TV for a news show in Chicago, she ends up drunk dialing him and leaving angry messages.

Schrute, (Acting) Manager", when she is shocked to learn Gabe is an atheist, and is even more shocked when he states there might be a God, but he does not believe it is just some "guy with a long white beard." She is seen repeatedly following Dwight's insane directions.

But at the same time Archie has brought a TV newscrew to film at the house, causing Hilda to stall them and Archie. Betty then makes a phone call to Claire, who arranges for another test to be administered, but at the last minute, and thanks to an eavesdropping Marc, cops arrive on the scene to arrest Betty, but she is let go.
