Decomposing pterosaur cadavers, floating on the sea surface, had gradually lost individual bones that sank to the bottom of the sea. Water currents then moved the bones around, eroding and polishing them, until they were at last covered by more sand and fossilised. Even the largest of these remains were damaged and difficult to interpret.

Sparky (Jack Kennedy) who brought the fake shark does not hear the others telling him to get off the sand as he was trying to get the power back on and is killed by the shark who ultimately dies after chomping on the electrical cable causing it to explode and turn to glass. With the threat gone the beaches are reopen and the party is back on. However the tooth found earlier is only a baby tooth and Sandy believes the dead shark's mother is out there looking for its baby. Unfortunately, the music stops and Jimmy goes to fix the speakers but the wire is torn and the sand sharks swarm Jimmy, who sacrifices himself so the sharks stay in one place as Angus encases them all in glass.

Hitler's teeth On the south side of Brusand, just across the highway, one can still see the anti-tank obstacles erected along the coastline during World War II. These are called Hitler's teeth ( or Hitlers tenner), and they were erected by prisoners of war and other forced laborers, in order to stop an allied invasion of Norway during the Nazi occupation from 1940–1945. The Germans found it likely that an allied assault would happen on the beaches of Jæren, both for its close proximity to United Kingdom and because of the topography. They are made of stone and concrete and run for several kilometers with up to 4 rows of obstacles. The Norwegian prisoners sabotaged several "teeth" by mixing more sand into the concrete in order to make them weaker.

A geologist studies the Ashdown Formation on the East Sussex coast The upper Purbeck Group records a transition into more sand being delivered into the Weald basin. This has led to the deposition of a mixture of fine sands known as the Ashdown Formation, or Ashdown Beds, which along with the Wadhurst Clay and the Tunbridge Wells Sands compose the Hastings Beds.
