Dirk Blocker portrays Detective 3rd Grade Michael Hitchcock (season 2–present; recurring season 1), an enthusiastic but clueless detective who has been best friends and partners with Detective Scully for over 30 years. Despite their inept nature, Hitchcock and Scully have both shown on occasion to be competent and even good detectives, though their laziness tends to keep them from demonstrating this most of the time. As revealed in "Hitchcock and Scully", the two were excellent detectives in their youths and had well-built bodies, but their careers and their physiques went downhill after they tried the wings at their eventual favorite restaurant, Wing Slutz. The majority of the precinct tends to be disgusted by Hitchcock's more perverted nature and attitude towards women.
