Many of its students and graduates have been involved with the emergence of new dramatic initiatives, such as the establishment of Teatr STU and the Stanisław Witkiewicz Theatre in Zakopane. From its early years the Ludwik Solski Academy was a source of continuity for the Polish theatre thanks to the fact that its teaching staff often belonged to different generations including actors from before the Second World War, with many of them (i.e. Tadeusz Burnatowicz, Halina Gallowa, Władysław Krzemiński, Wacław Nowakowski and Władysław Woźnik) completing drama courses in prewar Poland.

Juan de Valdés composed his Diálogo de la lengua (1533) for his Italian friends, who were eager to learn Castilian. And the lawyer Cristóbal de Villalón wrote in his Gramática castellana (Antwerp, 1558) that Castilian was spoken by Flemish, Italian, English, and French persons. For many years, especially between 1550 and 1670, European presses published a large number of Spanish grammars and dictionaries that linked Spanish to one or more other languages. Two of the oldest grammars were published anonymously in Louvain: Útil y breve institución para aprender los Principios y fundamentos de la lengua Hespañola (1555) and Gramática de la lengua vulgar de España (1559). Among the more outstanding foreign authors of Spanish grammars were the Italians Giovanni Mario Alessandri (1560) and Giovanni Miranda (1566); the English Richard Percivale (1591), John Minsheu (1599) and Lewis Owen (1605); the French Jean Saulnier (1608) and Jean Doujat (1644); the German Heinrich Doergangk (1614); and the Dutch Carolus Mulerius (1630).

On August 7, 2009, U.S. Century Bank announced it has participated in the United States Department of the Treasury's Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) Capital Purchase Program by receiving $50.2 million of funds. U.S. Century Bank reported earnings of $1 million in the first quarter of 2010, but deferred the interest payment to the U.S. Government on its TARP loan. The rating agency Fitch downgraded the rating on the banks corporate debt to junk status. In the event, he returned to the Nottinghamshire side in late June, played for less than two months and then stood down from playing again in mid-August; unsurprisingly, his aggregate and average fell significantly. Keeton returned to fitness in time for the 1936 season and if this was not one of his more outstanding seasons, in that his average was in the mid-30s and his highest score was only 115, he still scored more runs than anyone else for Nottinghamshire. He repeated that in 1937 when his average rose to 45 and his aggregate passed 2000 runs for the season again, though for Nottinghamshire he and the other batsmen were overshadowed by the brilliance of Joe Hardstaff junior who averaged 66 runs per innings in county games. Among highlights for Keeton in 1937 was a series of innings in which he scored three centuries, plus other scores of 99 not out and 97, in the course of eight matches.

In September 1996, then-head coach Kim Brink picked up Sinding at short notice to become a substitute goalkeeper coach for F.C. Copenhagen to train the club's two goalkeepers, Karim Zaza and Finnish international Antti Niemi. This was because the club's regular goalkeeping coach, former Danish international Ole Qvist, was at a four-week holiday in the United States. After two-and-a-half years, Peter Schmeichel ended his involvement in the 1st Division (second-tier) club Hvidovre IF's professional department, Hvidovre Fodbold A/S, on 30 June 2002, whereupon the club was left with no capital (Schmeichel had made sure that the club had no more outstanding debt) or a coach, after the former manager Jan Sørensen's departure during the summer 2002. Since the club had to start all over again with no finances and a new squad mainly consisting of lower tier players, their management therefore contacted Sinding and persuaded him to take over as the manager of the team in the autumn season of 2002 in an unpaid / volunteering managerial role with Sten Ziegler as the one responsible for the day-to-day practice.
