Chart editing options are slick and simple—you can quickly bounce between different chart types for example—but the function and formula builder could be more intuitive than it is, occasionally kicking you out to a help page rather than giving you the tools you actually need to make some calculations in your spreadsheet.

Das said they have also identified this, and so while currently Gyana already offers some tutorials and helper tools within the app to nudge the user along, the plan is to eventually bring in a large variety of datasets for people to get started with, and also to develop a more intuitive way to "read" the basics of the files in order to figure out what kinds of data inquiries a person is most likely to want to make.

Remaking a game as unusual and distinctive as System Shock is obviously difficult; even its own sequel, System Shock 2, made a lot of changes to the System Shock formula that shifted the core experience of the game towards something more like Deus Ex. So far, Nightdive's demo feels like System Shock, now with more intuitive movement, facilitated HUD navigation, and updated graphics, which is exactly what I think fans of the original, myself included, have been wanting.

Not to mention, you won't have to much (if any) stabilization in post with a video editing program like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro X. Here's footage of me going down a water slide that would have normally been shaky AF, but is super smooth with the Hero 27 Black: It's this simplification and democratization of what previously would have required technical skills to operate a gimbal and apply stabilization in post production that makes the Hero 27 Black more intuitive to use.

All too often, those methods then begin to evolve in divergent ways … so you find yourself adding more arguments to that function, and perhaps more flags to its results … and the coder who comes along next has the cognitive overhead of that separate function, with all its caller-specific arguments and results … and you realize that if you had let yourself repeat yourself, and had let those two blocks naturally grow into separate things, your resulting code would have been vastly simpler and more intuitive.
