As the group's main rapper and sub- vocalist, Cho was involved in UNIQ's musical direction from their debut, penning his own rap verses as well as other lyrics for their Korean releases. When UNIQ's Korean promotions as a full group became more infrequent starting in the latter half of 2015 due to rising political tensions between China and South Korea, other members of the group began engaging in individual activities such as acting; however, Cho opted not to follow this career route, expressing a desire to focus on the musical aspect of his career.

Ultimately, less than 1 percent of the proposal's total 800,000 comments could be classified as "clearly opposed to net neutrality", with the majority either indicating support, taking no particular position, or being irrelevant comments.

Bucholtz positions the "Nerd" as a separate and distinct community of practice set in opposition to the Burnouts, Jocks and In-betweens: Nerds purposely reject the Burnouts', Jocks', and In-betweens' pursuit of "coolness" and instead prioritize knowledge and individuality. Bucholtz uses the concepts of positive identity practices (linguistic and social behaviors that confirm and reflect an intragroup identity) and negative identity practices (linguistic and social behaviors that distance individuals from other groups) to show how Nerds construct their community of practice. Her research suggests that the Nerd identity is "hyperwhite", characterized linguistically by more infrequent use of Valley girl speech and slang than other social categories; by a preference for Greco- Latinate over Germanic words; by the use of the discourse practice of punning; and by adherence to conventions of "super-standard English," or excessively formal English. Additionally, Bucholtz found that the speech of Nerds often included consonant-cluster simplification, phonological reduction of unstressed vowels, careful and precise enunciation, and reading style speech (wherein Nerds pronounce words more closely to how they're spelled).

Lewis's second album of 1972 not only had a different sound from its predecessor, The Killer Rocks On, but also from the country albums like Another Place, Another Time and She Still Comes Around (To Love What's Left Of Me) that had ushered in his comeback; unlike those records, which possess a stripped down, "hardcore" sound, Who's Gonna Play This Old Piano...Think About It, Darlin' is far more in tune with the smoother, countrypolitan sound that began dominating country radio in the early seventies. "She's Reaching for My Mind", "Too Many Rivers", and "No Traffic Out of Abilene" all contain strings and an array of background vocalists as producer Jerry Kennedy attempted to give the tracks as contemporary a feel as possible. Although the album did reach number three on the Billboard country albums chart, it signified the beginning of the end as far as Lewis's incredible run on the singles chart was concerned, with the Dixieland-infused title track stalling at number 14. Although he would continue to have the odd hit country single, they would come at a more infrequent rate, as songwriters began providing Lewis with material so tailor- made that they began verging on self-parody.
