ASPs are typically composed of two gratings (a diffraction grating and an analyzer grating) above a single photodiode. ASPs exploit the moire effect and the Talbot effect to gain their sinusoidal light sensitivity. According to the moire effect, if light acted as a particle, at certain incident angles the gaps in the diffraction and analyzer gratings line up, while at other incident angles light passed by the diffraction grating is blocked by the analyzer grating. The amount of light reaching the photodiode would be proportional to a sinusoidal function of incident angle, as the two gratings come in and out of phase with each other with shifting incident angle.

It was dressed in a robe of silk moire embroidered with gold and a crimson tunic of velvet and gold ornamented with fringes. It was laid in a coffin-like reliquary of oak and glass from The Netherlands, and decorated with gilded copper. On the morning of 18 April 1868, the steamboat Nina Simmes arrived from New Orleans, by way of Bayou Lafourche, with the reliquary of Saint Valeria. It was placed on the altar of St. Joseph Church, with solemn ceremonies attended by more than four thousand people.

He accompanied Renaud in the latter's tour "Une guitare, un piano et Renaud".
Peter the Great wearing the insignia of the Order of St. Andrew and a moire ribbon sash Roger Cardinal Mahony (left) wearing a ferraiolo of watered silk In French, the adjective moiré (in use since at least 1823) derives from the earlier verb moirer, "to produce a watered textile by weaving or pressing". Moirer, in turn, is a variation of the word mouaire which is an adoption of the English mohair (in use since at least 1570). Mohair comes from the Arabic mukhayyar (, "chosen"), a cloth made from the wool of the Angora goat. Mukhayyar () descends from khayyara (, "he chose").
By 1963, Kidner had recognised the limitation of 2 colours, the problem of how to introduce a third colour was solved for him in an article on the Moire effect in the Scientific American. This effect was first discovered in Japanese silks, when the material was folded, optical patterns and colours floated above the actual patterns and colour of the material. This method produced a dramatic effect when Kidner crossed 2 colour bands with a third at a slight angle, resulting in a completely new pattern, with a wave like vertical image hovering into view producing an intense optical dazzle.Sandler Irving, 'Michael Kidner.

MasterImage 3D also produces auto-stereoscopic displays for smartphones and tablets, which allow devices to present 3D images without the need for glasses. MasterImage 3D provides screens ranging from 4.3 inches to 10.1 inches. They achieve the effect through its patented Cell-Matrix Parallax Barrier technology, which uses a cell-gap approach that enables landscape and portrait modes, provides a 10 degree viewing angle, and reduces the Moire pattern that causes ghosting. MasterImage 3D's auto-stereoscopic display was used in one of the world's first glasses-free 3D mobile phones, the Hitachi Wooo, available in Japan in 2009.
A screentone saves an artist's time by allowing quick application of textures to line art where a hand-shaded area would not be reproduced in a timely or acceptable manner. Much like halftone, the size and spacing of black dots, lines, or hatches determine how light or dark an area will appear. Visual artists need to take into account how much an image will be reduced when prepared for publication when choosing the pitch of a screentone. Screentones can also be layered to produce interference patterns such as moire effects, or to simulate multiple sources of shadow in an image.
Innis Mhòr is one of the few east coast islands, only 4 of which exceed in size. The others are Mugdrum in the Firth of Tay and the Isle of May and Inchkeith in the Firth of Forth. The extensive tidal Whiteness Sands lie between Innis Mhòr and the Easter Ross coast, with the headland of Rubh' na h-Innse Moire lying to the west of the island. Inland there is the Morrich More, an extensive area of dune grassland with wetland communities, and a grade 1 SSSI, and RAF Tain, a bombing range on an alluvial plain known as the Fendom.
It was speculated that this was Natasha St-Pier, who achieved 4th place at the 2001 Contest. However Berberes has denied that France Télévisions have approached St-Pier to go to Oslo. On 15 February 2010, Télé Loisirs stated that the final choice for the French entry would be between Emmanuel Moire, singermade famous for playing Louis XIV in the successful musical Le Roi Soleil, and Congolese singer and dancer Jessy Matador. It was said that France Télévisions would like to see beyond Eurovision, hoping to create a hit song for Matador to coincide with the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The D800E is a specialized version which uses a new optical anti- aliasing filter with no low-pass filter effect (no blurring) to obtain the sharpest images possible.Nikon D800 with 36.15 million image pixel sensor Rob Galbraith Nikon claims that possible aliasing effects (moiré) can be lessened by software-processing in camera or external programs like Nikon's Capture NX2. Reviewers have pointed out that although increased moiré is difficult to remove in post-processing, it is relatively easy to combat while photo-taking (such as by changing the angle, aperture or position). Furthermore, moire is rarely found in photos (besides man-made, repeated patterns such as in architecture).
HDSLRs can achieve much shallower depth of field and superior low-light performance. However, the low ratio of active pixels (to total pixels) is more susceptible to aliasing artifacts (such as moire patterns) in scenes with particular textures, and CMOS rolling shutter tends to be more severe. Furthermore, due to the DSLR's optical construction, HDSLRs typically lack one or more video functions found on standard dedicated camcorders, such as autofocus while shooting, powered zoom, and an electronic viewfinder/preview. These and other handling limitations prevent the HDSLR from being operated as a simple point-and-shoot camcorder, instead of demanding some level of planning and skill for location shooting.
Fore Abbey was plundered in 1430 for claiming ownership of parishes in East Brefnian territory O’Neill, eager to expand his kingdom's influence, happily obliged and entered the war along with his allied kingdoms Airgíalla and FirManach. The forces of O’Neill and his allies marched south and met with those of Fearghal, Talbot, O’Rourke and MacCabe at Achadh- cille-moire. The battle ended in a crushing defeat for Fearghal and his rebel forces and O’Neill continued his march into Leinster, joined by Eoghan na Feosaige, inflicting defeats on the Anglo-Normans of "South Meath" and the Plunketts and Herberts of "Westmeath" in 1430.Parker, pp.

Interior of the Cathedral, looking towards the High Altar Reredos in St Marys Episcopal Cathedral, Edinburgh St Mary's Cathedral (Scottish Gaelic: Cathair- eaglais Naomh Moire), or the Cathedral Church of Saint Mary the Virgin is a cathedral of the Scottish Episcopal Church in Edinburgh, Scotland. It was built in the late 19th century in the West End of Edinburgh's New Town. The cathedral is the see of the Bishop of Edinburgh, one of seven bishops within the Episcopal Church, which is part of the Anglican Communion. Designed in a Gothic style by Sir George Gilbert Scott, the cathedral is now protected as a category A listed building.
The Pentax K-3 is a 24-megapixel Pentax high-end digital single-lens reflex camera with an APS-C sensor, announced on 7 October 2013. The Pentax K-3 is the successor to both the K-5 II and K-5 IIs models, which have a 16-megapixel sensor. The K-5 II (and most other cameras of its time) had an optical low pass filter or anti-aliasing (AA) filter that can prevent the appearance of moire patterning on the captured image. This filter reduces the sharpness of the image, so Pentax also produced the K-5 IIs which omitted this filter.

Schnull–Rauch House after completion in 1904 The three-story structure is described as Romanesque Revival architecture. The house was originally decorated with oriental rugs from Persia, moire silk wallpaper, several ornate mantles, stained glass windows, heavy velvet curtains, hand-carved woodwork, inlaid hardwood floors, and marble bathrooms—much of which survives to the present. The building is unique in being the only remaining historic home of its era along Meridian Street not to have been demolished or remodeled as offices. The house also exhibits many surviving objects from the Schnull and Mayer German immigrant families to which Gustav and Matilda Schnull belonged, prominent in the Indianapolis banking and wholesaling industries in the late 19th century.
Benoît Poher was heavily involved with his bandmates in the HIV/AIDS campaign, forming Fight Aids, a French collective that released the charity song "L'Or de nos vies". The song was written by Poher with his band Kyo. Artists taking part were: Anggun, Bénabar, Amel Bent, Patrick Bruel, Corneille, Emma Daumas, Jenifer, Kyo, Leslie, Emmanuel Moire, M. Pokora, Roch Voisine, Stéphanie de Monaco, Tété. The revenues from the sale of the single and downloads was donated to F.A.M. (Fight Aids Monaco) charity, in support of building a house called "maison de vie" (house of life) near Avignon which offers both psychological and material aid to persons living with either HIV and AIDS and their families.
Notable projects include Data Moire for IBM Watson (2016), Durotaxis Chair for Stratasys (2014), Pure Tension Pavilion for Volvo Cars (2014), the Groove at CentralWorld in Bangkok (2013), and the DRL10 Pavilion in London (2008). During the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020, he spearheaded a grassroots effort known as Operation PPE, mobilizing over 300 architects, engineers, students and other volunteers throughout Southern California to 3D print personal protective equipment for medical professionals on the front lines. Prior to establishing SDA he worked in the offices of Zaha Hadid Architects, AL A, Future Systems, and AECOM. He received his B.Arch from the University of Southern California in 1998, and his M.Arch from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in 2004.
The badge of the order consisted of a gold crowned double-headed eagle enamelled in black, with a cross superimposed upon its chest: this was a gold Maltese cross enamelled in red with white enamel outline and golden rays between the arms. A white enamel crowned eagle with spread wings, facing left (the coat-of-arms of Poland) was superimposed on the cross. On its reverse side the double-headed eagle bore in the center of its back a diminutive red-bordered white-enamelled cross pattée with a gold rosette at its center gold rays between its arms. The black double-headed eagle hung by its two crowned heads from an enamelled Russian imperial crown, which, in turn, hung from a dark blue silk moire ribbon.
The title sequence in Whyte's fourth collection, Bho Leabhar-Latha Maria Malibran / From the Diary of Maria Malibran (Stornoway, Acair 2009) assumes the voice of the celebrated opera singer (1808-1836) as, in a country retreat not far from Paris, she reflects on her life, her career and her problematic relationship with her father, also an opera star. A combative epilogue affirms the importance of not confining poetry in Gaelic to themes and topics directly related to the society and history of those who speak the language. Whyte's fifth collection, in Gaelic only, An Daolag Shìonach (The Chinese Beetle) (Glasgow, Clò Gille Moire 2013), brings together uncollected poems for the years from 1987 to 1999, and a rich crop of new work from 2004 to 2007.

In 1923 Handley-Seymour, at that time dressmaker to Queen Mary, was commissioned to make the bridal gown of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon for her 26 April wedding to the Duke of York. The ivory chiffon moire dress was embroidered with pearls and silver thread, with a train of Flanders lace, and a girdle of silver leaves and green tulle fastened with silver roses and thistles. Handley-Seymour also made a number of outfits for the Duchess's trousseau, which were exhibited to the press on 20 April and were noted for their modestly neutral colours, such as a grey-beige going-away costume. For the next 12 years Handley-Seymour remained the Duchess of York's favourite dressmaker, although by 1937 the Duchess - now Queen consort following the abdication of Edward VIII - was transferring her patronage to Norman Hartnell.
On the branches of the cross are gilded letters Church Slavonic letters at the top: - "faithful" to the left - "KNZ" on the right - "DANIIL" at the bottom - "ISKCON" ("Pious Prince Daniel of Moscow") along the diagonals of the cross, adjacent to oval with a picture, are four crowns, each of which is decorated with rhinestones and ends with four-armed cross. Though every Oaks winner since Kathleen has received a garland, the Star Gazer Lily did not become the official flower of the Kentucky Oaks until 1991, when the Kroger Company was commissioned to create a feminine garland for the fillies. Lite Light, winner of the 117th Kentucky Oaks, was the first filly to receive the garland of lilies. The Star Gazer Lily was selected for its femininity and strength. A total of 133 lilies are sewn onto a white moire fabric backing with a fleur- de-lis pattern, which, like the green satin of the Derby garland, is embroidered in white-on-white with the seal of the Commonwealth of Kentucky at one end and an image of the Twin Spires and the words stating which running of the Kentucky Oaks it is on the opposite end.
The links from the collar of the Order The sash of the Order was poppy red moire with narrow green borders, but under the knot, at the ends of this sash, these green borders as well as the ends of the sash were covered with gold metallic ribbon. Like the sash of the Order of the Garter this sash was worn from the left shoulder to the right hip. The cross worn with this sash was a Maltese cross with narrow arms also enameled white strewn with numerous golden flames, with three straight rays between each arm, each point of the cross being tipped with a small gold ball. Between the two gold balls on the top arm of the cross was a three-dimensional gold representation of the Bavarian crown, by which the cross hung from its sash.
In 1959 VPE managing director Geoffrey Verdon-Roe hired two former Saunders-Roe Ltd employees, Peter H Winter (aircraft design department) and Terry Fitzpatrick (electronics division) to form an Electronics Department commissioned to investigate electronic control for the VPE machine tools. A control system based on a Moire pattern sensor feeding a semiconductor decade counter was produced but the project failed to achieve the required machining accuracy - resulting in the termination of all electronics design activity in 1960. However the Electronics Department continued to function in the short term as a result of success with the invention and development of Veroboard - a new type of universal printed circuit board which would be manufactured by the VPE machine tool department. After initial production problems were overcome output rates improved and attention moved from product development to commercial activities resulting in the VPE Electronics Department being closed down.
In 2005, the band announced a hiatus, but without a definite break ;Fight Aids charity single The band would be instrumental in launching Fight Aids single "L'Or de nos vies", co-written by Kyo and their lead singer Benoît "Ben" Poher and produced by François Delabrière and Kyo. Seventeen artists pitched in including Anggun, Bénabar, Amel Bent, Patrick Bruel, Corneille, Emma Daumas, Jenifer, Kyo, Leslie, Emmanuel Moire, M. The song released on 28 July 2006 received wide media coverage and reached number 5 in SNEP, the French singles chart.
The Wicklow Round is a long-distance hill running challenge in the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. The route follows a proscribed 100-kilometre circuit of 26 mountains, which must be completed in a fixed order, that total over of elevation; there is some flexibility on route-choices between peaks. Rounds completed outside of a cut-off time of 24-hours are not generally recorded. Irish ultra-runner Joe Lalor is credited with the creation of the Round. The first person to complete the Round was Moire O’Sullivan, in a time of 22:58:30 on 29 May 2008; O'Sullivan went on to write a book about her experience on the Round called Mud, Sweat, and Tears. Eoin Keith set a new record of 17:53:45 on the 30 May 2009, which stood for nine years until it was beaten by U.S. runner, and Appalachian Trail record holder, Joe McConaughy, in a time of 17:09:44 on 6 May 2018.
In 2011, he became part of Collectif Paris-Africa, a French group and French speaking international artists united by UNICEF. Its purpose is to collect money for nutrition and food for the poor countries in Horn of Africa. The group released a single called "Des ricochets" ("skimming stones"), referring to the poor availability of fresh water in the area) which was followed by compilation album Collectif Paris-Africa pour l'Unicef. Ycare was part of the charity song "Les voix de l'enfant" (meaning the voices of the child) with other artists that included Yannick Noah, Lorie, M. Pokora, Mélissa Nkonda, Hugues Aufray, Joyce Jonathan, Nicolas Peyrac, Sheryfa Luna, Grégoire, Jenifer, Merwan Rim, Gérard Lenorman, Emmanuel Moire, Dominique Magloire, Mani, Priscilla, Mickael Miro, Rose, Philippe Lavil, Marie Myriam, Mikelangelo Loconte, Melissa Mars, Faudel, Anggun, Stanisla, Julie Zenatti, Colonel Reyel, Annie Cordy, Yves Duteil, Pauline Delpech, Pierre Souchon, Judith, Quentin Mosimann, Lââm, Michael Jones, Cylia and Collectif Métissé.
Samedi Soir on Chante (literally Saturday Evening We Sing) is a French musical television and radio program hosted by Estelle Denis, directed by Pascal Duchêne and broadcast simultaneously on the television channel TF1 and the radio stations RFM (first episode) and RTL (second episode). The concept of the pre-recorded program, written by Fabrice Clerté, sees a semi-regular troupe of sixteen relatively young yet more or less established singers such as Emmanuel Moire, Corneille and Tal performing over the course of two hours covers of songs written and/or sung by a major French star from an older generation in front of a live studio audience and occasionally accompanied by guest stars, thus potentially reintroducing them to a younger crowd. Four episodes of the show have been produced and three broadcast so far, centered on Jean-Jacques Goldman, France Gall, the hits of 2013 and Edith Piaf respectively. The first episode was a ratings success for TF1, however the second faltered and lost half of its predecessor's viewers.
The program has been accused by some of being a thinly-veiled promotional machine aimed at selling recently released albums. Indeed, the first episode, centered on Jean-Jacques Goldman, aired two months after the release of the compilation cover album Génération Goldman and featured many of its singers, such as Amel Bent, Corneille, Emmanuel Moire, Florent Mothe, M. Pokora, Shy'm and Tal, but more importantly the second episode, centered on France Gall, was viewed by many as being nothing more than a giant commercial for Jenifer's France Gall cover album Ma Déclaration, which came out two days after the episode's airing. In addition, some singers of Génération Goldman, such as Leslie and Marie-Mai were offended at not being invited to participate in the program with Leslie later accusing TF1 of playing favorites with her contemporaries. As for the artists the show aims to pay homage to, France Gall was particularly angered, as she was with Jenifer's cover album, calling the program "cheap" in an interview with Le Parisien and regretting that she wasn't consulted or even invited to participate.

Holography Speckle, 3, 35 the essential feature of the process was not understood until the work of Powell and Stetson. Their experiments were conducted over the period of October to December 1964, and they began with an investigation of the periodic coherence length of the HeNe laser being used. The compact laser beam was used to illuminate a spot on a small object was placed between two mirrors such that its image could be observed looking over one mirror into the tunnel of multiple reflections between the mirrors.
This became part of the Filmation style during a period when most television and motion picture productions tended to run minimum shots of 4–5 seconds. In contrast to the rapid jump cuts during action sequences, another Filmation trademark was the recurring use of long establishing shots in which the camera would pan slowly across a very wide background painting, thus filling up screen time with sequences requiring little or no animation. Filmation also pioneered other animation technologies, particularly in Flash Gordon, which included backlighting effects for the first time in American animation (they were already in use in Japan), including moire effects to represent energy fields (a technique that was later used in He-Man and later in She-Ra). It also pioneered a unique method of generating 3-D vehicle animation by filming white-outlined black miniatures against black backgrounds using a computerized motion-control camera and high- contrast film, then printing the negatives onto acetate frame-by-frame, to create animation cels which were then hand-painted.
In addition the two also worked for a time in a trio with South African percussionist Louis Moholo. In London in the early 1970s, after a brief period in the Chris McGregor’s Brotherhood of Breath, he played with John Stevens’ Spontaneous Music Orchestra, and occasionally with the Spontaneous Music Ensemble (SME). During this period he also worked as a freelance commercial musician, playing studio sessions, nightclubs and West End shows, as well as playing in more jazz-based situations such as Mike Westbrook’s 'Solid Gold Cadillac'.Wickes, J. 1999, Innovations In British Jazz, Soundworld Publishers, , p.133 In the 1980’s he joined the Tony Oxley Quintet and played in various versions of the band and also with the Celebration Orchestra, for many years. Around the same time he joined the London Jazz Composers Orchestra as well as Peter Brötzmann’s Alarm Orchestra and its successor the tentet 'Marz Combo'. He also worked with, among others, the Eddie Prevost Quartet, Trevor Watts’ Moire Music, Louis Moholo’s Spirits Rejoice, Elton Dean’s Ninesense and the Heinz Becker Quintet. He also played in the cult pop group Weekend and started writing with its guitarist Simon Booth.
As a scanning system (opposed to the instant capture systems), conceptually similar to a desktop flatbed scanner redesigned to fit into a Polaroid 545 back. Better Light scan backs start at the low end using 54 MP to record images of 106 MB of data and then progressively go up through systems of: 144 MP at 274 MB, 216 MP at 618 MB, 384 MP at 488 MB, 416 MP at 794 MB, and finally (in panorama mode) up to approximately 2 GP at 3.8 GB. Unlike most instant capture systems, which only capture one third of the true RGB values for every point in the scene and thus interpolate every pixel up 300% to compensate for this, Better Light systems in their normal mode capture the full RGB values for every point in the scene and use no spatial interpolation. Instant capture systems (besides using interpolation algorithms on every image) also commonly use sharpening, anti- aliasing, anti-moire and compression algorithms on every image as well. Better Light systems, when used in their normal mode, use no post capture processing algorithms at all and always provide files with extremely high color accuracy and information densities.
