Edna Howland (born Sadie Edna Howland; September 22, 1886 – October 14, 1964) was an American vaudeville artist. She was best known for her piano playing and soprano voice. Between 1910 and 1920, she toured with Jack Kammerer, an acrobatic comedian. Billed as Kammerer & Howland, the duo described themselves as a “Classical Comedy Singing and Talking Act,” and as performers of “Jollity and Jingles Mirthfully Mingled.” Howland retired from show business in the early 1920s.

The dreams make up most of the show. After the opening scene the pair travel to Crusoe's island, which is given a haunted forest, and to a pirate ship crewed by chorus girls. The "glittering galaxies of gorgeous, glorious, gladsome girlies mirthfully monopolized the mad, merry hours and the ten tremendous tumultuous scenes of Robinson Crusoe, Jr." At one point in the story trees woke up and began to sway to the music. Jolson has comic interactions with a goat and a crocodile.

The evening gets even more debauched when Nicosia has a little too much to drink, strips off all his clothes too, cavorts with the three nude women of the assembled throng, and then passes out cold. The next morning, he wakes up in his bed with the mirthfully grinning Dragalescu laying next to him. Running in horror from the castle, the half-dressed Nicosia catches the first plane back to Italy. Back in Italy and working at his toothpaste company, Nicosia is rather tense and uptight.
