Culleredo has a climate that is transitional between the mediterranean (Csb) and oceanic climates (Cfb) due to a sizeable summer drying trend that sits on the threshold between the two classifications. Culleredo is somewhat more prone to extremes than urban A Coruña, but is still heavily influenced by the warm Atlantic sea air in winter and mildened by the same air in summer, that renders the climate very mild for its latitude.

Vindeln has a subarctic climate that is mildened for its latitude by its proximity to the Gulf Stream airflow. Considering it being inland, winters are more severe than coastal areas such as Umeå and Holmön, but milder than areas at a higher elevation. Summers are short but often warm, with civil twilight lasting all night during a few weeks, contrasted by the vast winter darkness with very short days. Precipitation is moderate but due to the cold winter temperatures there is a sizeable snow cover every year.

Montargull is a scattered village aggregated to the municipality of Artesa de Segre, at La Noguera county, in Catalonia, Spain. It is located at the highway that goes from Artesa de Segre to the Pallars Jussà county. It got its name due to its location on a hill marking the end of the Serra de Comiols, and the start of a plain known by the same name of the village. On this plain there are crops of wheat and barley, favored by a fairly arid mediterranean weather mildened by the proximity of the mountains.

Arne Ronold MW stated in 2008, "they have become aware of the problems and are taking measures", and, "I may have been one of the most ardent critics, but I have mildened somewhat". The village is located at a sector known as the Mid Segre, characterized by not too steep rocks and lands which are similar to the Central Depression. At the foot of the hill where the village is located there is a wide and welcoming valley, belonging to the erosion plains created by the Segre river and its affluents. This allows for a large variety of crops, and in older times there were orchard trips near to the rivers and creeks. Montargull and the surrounding district have a climate similar to the Segrià, a Mediterranean climate tending to arid, partially mildened by the proximity of the mountains.

He acknowledges "a near-revolution in that at present there are more than 10,000 products available, which is wonderful", adding, "I have been among the most ardent critics but have mildened somewhat.
