Later principals were: James McGowan (1981-1986), Midgie Sledge (1986-1994), Oliver Wittig (1994-1996), David Hill (1996-2003), and Sam Salamy (2003-2008). Vickie Plitt succeeded Salamy as principal in August 2008. At the start of the 2018-2019 school year, Scott McGuire began his tenure as principal of Glen Burnie High School.

It is built of red brick, a classic example of High Victorian architectural style, recognized by the Native Daughters of the Golden West, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The PVH&MA; hosts Fred T. Perris Day and a silent auction annually and participates yearly in the Potato Festival, Christmas Parade, and Southern California Fair. The current president of the Association is Midgie Parker.

Featherstone in the 1962–1963 ABC series, Going My Way, which starred Gene Kelly and Leo G. Carroll as Roman Catholic priests in New York City. Westman's first Broadway play was Pigs (1924); her last was Midgie Purvis (1961). She broke ground on stage, debuting the role of Nell off-Broadway in Samuel Beckett's Endgame, for which she won one of the first Obie awards.

Zadora was born Pia Alfreda Schipani in Hoboken, New Jersey. Her father, Alphonse Schipani, was an Italian-American violinist, and her mother, Saturnina (Zadorowski) Schipani, was a Polish American theatrical wardrobe supervisor for Broadway productions, the Metropolitan Opera and the New York City Opera. She adapted part of her mother's maiden name as her stage name. Zadora appeared as a child actress with Tallulah Bankhead in Midgie Purvis.

Redfield's best known film appearance was as Dale Harding in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. On television, Redfield played the title role in the DuMont series Jimmy Hughes, Rookie Cop (1953), and appeared in The Philco Television Playhouse, Lux Video Theatre, The United States Steel Hour, Studio One, As the World Turns, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Naked City, Maude, Rich Man, Poor Man Book II, Bewitched , and The Bob Newhart Show.
