As Mexiah, she is a martial arts instructor at the Holy Land Academy and, unlike her serious sister, is shockingly affectionate toward Kenshi; however, there are also hints of her having lesbian relationships with some of the female students, all of whom worship her. :Doll has little regard for the importance of life, shown when she laughs while trying to kill Aura during an early encounter. The vehicle crashed into EI-27, prompting Pinchernone to absorb it, stating he could absorb any mechanoid that does not carry a G-Stone.
Kryten was portrayed by David Ross in his debut appearance. Kryten (as portrayed by David Ross) first appeared in the Red Dwarf episode "Kryten" (1988), where he is characterised as a service mechanoid on board the Nova 5, a spacecraft originally from Earth. Kryten says that his entire purpose is "to serve and have no regard for himself". He sends a distress call which is picked up by the crew of the mining ship Red Dwarf, claiming that the male crew died when the Nova 5 crash landed on a planetoid, while the female crew are—according to Kryten himself—"stable, but injured".
In "Krysis" (2016), Kryten begins suffering from a mid-life crisis on the 2,976,000th anniversary of his creation. He loses interest in the things he normally enjoys and subsequently installs a bright red "pimptactular" carbon-fibre shell to his body in order to recapture his youth and gains a sudden attraction to bungie jumping. Butler (Dominic Coleman), an earlier model of mechanoid that achieved far more than Kryten, deliberately sabotages Starbug to allow Kryten to meet the Universe (voice of Daniel Barker) so Kryten can feel better about himself. The Universe also tells Kryten to remove his new suit because it "really sucks".
Their space is bordered by gigantic stone warning beacons that resemble skulls many miles across carved out of asteroids, seen in the series VI episode "Emohawk: Polymorph II" (1993). In the episode, second technician Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie) recalls from old space legends that unfortunate humans that unwittingly wandered into Kinitawowi space were often skinned alive to make beanbags. Nevertheless, as the 4000 Series service mechanoid Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) explains, the Kinitawowi were one of the friendlier tribes of humanoid GELFs and that they didn't always kill on sight as other humanoid GELFs apparently do. Indeed, not skinning strangers alive on sight was considered a warm greeting.
"Parallel Universe" (1988) shows Holly's "Holly Hop Drive" trying to get to Earth within a few seconds. Instead, however, it lands the crew in a female-oriented parallel universe with another version of Red Dwarf; its crew including a female version of Rimmer called Arlene Rimmer (played by Suzanne Bertish). Regarding Rimmer as little more than a "discardable sex object", the female Rimmer sexually harasses and gropes Rimmer and tries to hypnotise him even after Rimmer shows no interest. In "Backwards" (1989), Rimmer facilitates a driving test for the mechanoid Kryten (Robert Llewellyn), where Kryten causes the Starbug 1 shuttle to fall into a time hole.
At the end of the story, it's hinted that he's become infected by Babalun's core jewel. ; : :He is the first male Sacred Mechamaster at Holy Land Academy to be wooed over to Babalun's cause by Dagmyer. It is not sure just how talented he is, but he clearly lacks battle experience since like the other male turncoats he is very arrogant when he thinks he has the upper hand but terrified and unable to fight back powerfully when facing a superior opponent (namely Kenshi), even screaming, begging for mercy and fleeing in terror. He doesn't realize that Kane has installed a tracking device on the map. The Dragonfire turns out to be part of a large bio-mechanoid dragon, which in turn is revealed to be Kane's jailer on the planet Svartos.
A humanoid entity with the ability to use G-Stone energy (such as Cain, Latio, Cyborg Guy or Evoluder Guy) can perform "Fusion" with Galeon, synchronizing their G-Stone energy with his to form the humanoid-shaped mechanoid GaiGar. In this mode, the humanoid gains control of Galeon's body, though Galeon himself is still active as the "head" and is capable of communicating. While alone, Galeon is outfitted with a pair of thrusters on either side of his midriff that allow for long-distance atmospheric and orbital flight. He can also employ a special subsonic roar (as first used against EI-01) to temporarily nullify Zonderian Barrier Systems.
The other three are placed into devices against their will, which one-by-one, transvers their essences into mechanoids resembling themselves. They are informed by the MILF, Areto, that they'll serve as their slaves as Kryten once was to them, and any possibility of refusal will prove impossible. Meanwhile, Kryten is pampered by the other mechanoids, and attends group therapy sessions where he is convinced of his former slave status to the Red Dwarf crew. As the three Kryten-ified others do menial labor for their new masters, they devise an escape plan which Rimmer foils by triggering an alarm, having had his personality completely erased by his new mechanoid programming.

They have different forms and powers, usually based on mythological creatures. The B't's source of power is a device called BreakHeart, which is fueled by human blood. The episode was originally titled Kryticus, referencing Spartacus, or more specifically the film of the same name, due to it sharing the theme of rebelling against enslavement. Despite advances in the construction of the Kryten mask for Robert Llewellyn, the rest of the cast had to have their mechanoid masks constructed in the same physical-procedure as earlier series. Siliconia was also the first episode revealed of XI and XII, as it was mentioned at the initial announcement of both series at the Dimension Jump convention in 2015; saying how after years of being asked by the cast to do an episode where "everyone is Kryten" he'd agree to do one in the upcoming series.
Especially in the early episodes, a recurring source of comedy was the Odd Couple-style relationship between the two central characters of the show, who have an intense dislike for each other yet are trapped together deep in space. In Series III, the computer Holly changes from male (Norman Lovett) to female (Hattie Hayridge), and the mechanoid Kryten (who had appeared in one episode in Series IIHowarth & Lyons (1993) p. 52.) joins the crew and becomes a regular character. In Series VI, a story arc is introduced where Red Dwarf has been stolen, and the crew pursues it in the smaller Starbug craft, with the side effect that the character Holly disappears.
Later it is revealed in Tenchi Muyo's 4th OVA that Rea was sent from Geminar to have a child with an individual from another dimension and send him back, as he would have immensurable power to deal with the threat of Gaia, thus Tenchi and his family trained and raised him in the best way possible for him to fulfill his destiny and survive against all odds. :His given name means "Swordsman", in reference to his swordfighting preference while piloting his Sacred Mechanoid. ; : :Lashara is the 12-year-old ruler of the Shtrayu Empire. The sudden death of her father causes her to inherit the throne, but as the series begins she is traveling away to school in the Holy Land.
Initially, she admires Kenshi's wilderness skills, but grows to develop a romantic interest in him, even going so far as to feed him water mouth-to-mouth after he has passed out and then attempting to confess her feelings (even her own father suggests she should marry him); on a few occasions, she and Kenchi have worked well together as a scouting team. When not dealing with school-related tasks, she is nearly always accompanied by two male retainers. Her Sacred Mechanoid is green and brown (forest colors) armed with a crossbow, and has the ability to generate the Dark Elf Field, a powerful force field that can repel any enemy that comes in range; however, using the field is extremely taxing on the user's body.
Red Dwarf first aired on 15 February 1988 and ended its original run on BBC2, by then rebranded BBC Two, on 5 April 1999 after eight series, with some PBS stations in the United States airing the entire eighth series earlier on 7 March. From 2009, Grant Naylor Productions produced new episodes for UKTV, which were broadcast on the TV channel Dave. The series follows the fortunes of Dave Lister who is stranded three million years in the future, together with the hologrammatic representation of his former bunkmate and immediate superior Arnold Rimmer; a creature known only as Cat; and the ship's computer Holly. During Series II, the crew encounter a mechanoid called Kryten, who joins them from Series III onwards.
He is knowledgeable in the art of neurochemical manipulation: he personally reprogrammed the Repli-jin version of Mamoru Anami and at one point implanted "Chemical Bolts" into Evoluder Guy to manipulate his behavior. He also created "Paras Particles", particles which greatly relax nerve cells, and saturated Repli-Earth with them in order to isolate and destroy GaoFighGar. Palparepa can perform "Chemical Fusion" with a gigantic object resembling a molecule to form the mechanoid Palparepa Plus (though only "Palparepa" is said, the tech specs in Episode 7 of FINAL list the full name as Plus). As opposed to the loud, fast-paced Final Fusion music, Chemical Fusion is accompanied by a soft, slow violin piece that is barely audible over the noise of the transformation.
After having his virus turned against them, Palparepa undergoes yet another transformation, gaining a pale green, nearly white glow and reverting to his former appearance within the mechanoid. The cause of this change is unclear - however, Evoluder Guy demonstrated a similar color change when he was infected with the Chemical Nanomachines, suggesting that the effect of infecting Palparepa with them was similar to the Doping Cylinders. This form (unnamed in any GaoGaiGar work to date) bears an even higher rate of regeneration than Prajna, and is capable of using stronger versions of all of Palparepa Prajna's abilities. This form manages to overwhelm Genesic GaoGaiGar (breaking Guy's Straight Drill and Protect Shade) until Guy becomes enraged, at which point he easily dominates Palparepa.
Before the lifespans of both versions of Red Dwarf expire after an hour, the crew collect pieces of the triplicator from both Red Dwarfs, and restore the original Red Dwarf by amalgamating the two copies with a rebuilt triplicator. The "high" version of the Cat is blown up by a bomb the "lows" throw at him, while the "low" version disappears with his version of Red Dwarf. In "Back to Reality" (1992), ink from a "despair squid" causes Lister, Rimmer, the Cat and mechanoid Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) to share a hallucination, with the hallucinations attacking things they each consider "quintessential to [their] self-esteem". In the hallucination, the Cat loses his "cool", and becomes a "no-style gimbo" with a massive overbite and unflattering clothes called Duane Dibley.
Caliber had ventured into licensed comics with their early release of Moontrap, the science fiction film starring Star Trek's Walter Koenig, and the production of a comic for Troma Films called Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo; but it was the full-color adaptation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, written and drawn by Kevin VanHook that proved the most successful. Another licensed property was Mechanoid Invasion, a 1981 RPG from Palladium Books made into a 3-book comic called The Mechanoids beginning in Spring 1991. Another comic property affiliated with Caliber called Justice Machine had also been adapted into a Heroes Unlimited sourcebook by Palladium. This was based on the original Noble Comics version by Gustovich in 1981, while Caliber distributed the New Justice Machine sequel by Ellis from 1989.
Once he forms the Laser Lance by extending a second blade on his Super Saber, he usually impales a mutant, who then (A) surrenders; (B) has "heartburn"; or (C) is unaffected (only Mechanoid, Photobot, Fanbot, and Electrobot are immune to the Laser Lance impalement and only Fanbot was immune to it altogether), typically the mutant surrenders. If the mutant does surrender, J.B. destroys it anyway via rapid and repeated slashes; the mutant overheats, falls over and explodes. Also in J.B's arsenal is the VR Techno-Bazooka (basically a double-barrel cannon); J.B. projects a giant virtual image of himself to pull the trigger. The VR Techno-Bazooka is always used on Grimlord's air forces, never on any monsters with one notable exception, Fanbot, a mutant that couldn't be hurt by any other aresenal (including the Skybase).
Graham played several characters in the science-fiction TV series Doctor Who during the 1960s and 1970s, most notably Dalek voices in the serials The Daleks (1963–64), The Dalek Invasion of Earth (1964), The Chase (1965; in which he also provided Mechanoid voices) and The Daleks' Master Plan (1965–66). He performed in person as barman Charlie in The Gunfighters (1966) and as time- travel scientist Professor Kerensky in City of Death (1979). Graham also provided the regular voices of Gordon Tracy, Brains, Parker and Kyrano for the Supermarionation TV series Thunderbirds (1965–66), as well as its film sequels: Thunderbirds Are Go (1966) and Thunderbird 6 (1968). Other credits from his association with Thunderbirds producer Gerry Anderson include Four Feather Falls (1960), Supercar (1961–62), Fireball XL5 (1962–63), Stingray (1964–65) and The Secret Service (1969).
There is a clear mutual attraction between Kenshi and Yukine, and merely being in close proximity to each other can cause her cheeks to color; there have been two occasions in which circumstances have caused people to mistakenly believe that Kenshi and Yukine have been physically intimate (and it seems that Yukine wouldn't mind in the least!). She is from a clan that protects a temple dedicated to the Choushin, but lets Kenshi compress it into a sword. Her Sacred Mechanoid is a mixture of light colors with moth antennae and a mane armed with a railgun and jets that allows her to travel at supersonic speeds. ; : :Nicknamed , she is a good friend of Lashara (although technically in Lashara's employ), a brilliant inventor, and a genius when it comes to heavy artillery and gunpowder (ironically, she can't seem to hit her targets, though she gradually improves throughout the series).
Cordyline piloted a purple Sacred Mechanoid that was eventually crushed by Kenshi and was later killed when the Meteor Fall in Havoniwa (which she and her crew had hijacked) collapsed and crashed after Kenshi took down one of its supports, leaving her daughter to take command. Lan has an enormous ego, demonstrated by showing growing contempt for Dagmyer, taking control of the ronin forces after he suffers his emotional collapse and continually believing that she and her bandits will triumph even in the face of her continual defeats at the hands of Kenshi and his comrades. After her total defeat at the checkpoint in the final battle, she is seen at the end of the series going after Dagmyer, attempting to kill him in order to re-establish her reputation, only to meet her end by Emera. ; : :Dagmyer's right-hand/servant and a Sacred Mechamaster.
His primary motive in betraying and attacking the Holy Land seems to stem from the unfair conditions faced by male Sacred Mechamasters, due to the fact that, on account of their scarcity, male Sacred Mechamasters, no matter how talented or powerful, are considered more like breeding stock and therefore given less freedom than female Sacred Mechamasters; he therefore recruits to his cause other male Mechamasters who feel as he does. His attitude is demonstrated by his refusal to accept help or sound advice from Emera, his cavalier treatment of Cordyline, his manipulation of Chiaia to get her to kill Kenshi and his rough treatment of her after her failed attempt. In episode 11, he becomes traumatized after nearly being killed by Kenshi's Sacred Mechanoid in berserker mode and seeing Cliff Cleese hurled to his death in the process, but gradually recovers in the following episode. In the final episode, he finally acknowledges Kenshi's skill after he loses to him in a duel.
She has feelings for Dagmyer (who does not reciprocate and who barely even acknowledges her) and appears to be far more skilled than him; she manages to save him from some falling rubble while Kenshi (with Mexiah in his arms) is escaping from Wahanly, Lithia, Aura, Chiaia, Maria, and Yukine (who were chasing them on board Wahanly's Mechaworker prototype), and again from near-death during Kenshi's rampage in his Sacred Mechanoid. She shows concern for Dagmyer and his honor as the show progresses; her own sense of honor is far more evident than his when she voices her concerns about his hiring Lan and the other bandits, Lan's continuing and growing reckless behavior and the dishonorable methods Dagmyer uses against Kenshi. She regards Kenshi as someone who is kind and is grateful to him for helping Dagmyer change his ways at the end. At the end of the final episode, she kills Lan who is attempting to kill Dagmyer.
In "Camille" (1991), Lister is shown trying to teach Kryten how to lie, cheat and be offensive as part of a way to make Kryten break his programming and become independent. After Kryten dates and falls in love with a pleasure GELF called Camille (Judy Pascoe)—firstly in the form of a 4000 Series GTI mechanoid, and later her original amorphous blob form—Camille's estranged husband Hector (Rupert Bates), who like Camille is also a blob, lands in Red Dwarfs hangar to take her back and find an antidote for their condition. Kryten lies to Camille to protect her feelings and give her her best shot at happiness by convincing her to go with Hector. In the episode "DNA" (1991), Kryten is briefly transformed into a human being (played by Llewellyn, minus his usual make-up) when the DNA from his part organic brain is used to alter Kryten's entire molecular structure.
Following the events of Parallel Universe, Dave Lister (Craig Charles) gave birth to twins who had to be sent back to the universe of their origin because of his universe's law. At the same time, the ship's computer Holly underwent a transformation to become his alternate universe counterpart Hilly (Hattie Hayridge) whom he fell madly in love with, while the others came across the broken pieces of the mechanoid Kryten (Robert Llewellyn), after he crashed on an asteroid while riding Lister's space bike, leading to Lister having to salvage and rebuild him, consequentially causing him to lose his old personality. Some time after these events, Arnold Rimmer (Chris Barrie) takes Kryten out for a piloting test with Starbug 1, only for the pair to be sucked into a time hole and crash-land on a planet similar to Earth. When the pair see a sign written backwards and people performing actions and speaking backwards, Holly concludes they are on Earth in the distant future where time is now running backwards.
Amiga version screenshot Switchblade II is a side- scrolling action-platform game with run and gun elements similar to the original Switchblade where the player takes control of Hiro through six stages of varying thematic set in the land of Thraxx at Cyberworld infested with mechanoid, metal-clad enemies where the main objective is to fully destroy the returning Havok once and for all.Switchblade II instructions (Amiga/Atari ST, EU)Switchblade II game manual (Atari Lynx, US) All of the actions in the game are performed differently depending on the version, with one button and a joystick in the home computer versions, while the d-pad and two buttons are used in the Lynx port. The progression structure between levels is also different between each version, with the Amiga and Atari ST versions transitioning seamlessly, while the Lynx port is broken into several sections instead. Spread across the levels are portals that lead into a shop where items and weapons can be bought including a knife, homing missiles, laser beam, flamethrower and shurikens, in addition to ammunition for each of them.
