The locations of the renovated Kwik-E-Marts were: Bladensburg, Maryland/Washington, D.C.; Burbank, California; Chicago; Dallas; Denver; Henderson/Las Vegas; Los Angeles; Mountain View/San Francisco; New York City; Orlando/Lake Buena Vista, Florida; Seattle; and Vancouver/Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. Morgado became famous with his huli-huli chicken recipe. He served on the Hawaii Board of Agriculture, was appointed honorary vice consul of Portugal, and was awarded the Honolulu Portuguese Chamber of Commerce's "Council's Cup" in 1981. Later, beginning in 1986, Morgado bottled and sold huli-huli sauce in stores. Today, huli-huli chicken can be found around Hawaii, in restaurants, road-side stands, mini-marts and drive-ins.
Robert Frederick Jane (18 December 1929 – 28 September 2018) was an Australian race car driver and prominent entrepreneur and business tycoon. A four-time winner of the Armstrong 500, the race that became the prestigious Bathurst 1000 and a four-time Australian Touring Car Champion, Jane was well known for his chain of tyre retailers, Bob Jane T-Marts. Jane was inducted into the V8 Supercars Hall of Fame in 2000.

Creating the Domestic Workers' Union was a step towards trying to erase domestic slavery. The Union members helped send out letters to the ministers of the African- American churches where these habitués of the "slave mart" (African-American domestic workers) attended and urged them to impress upon these women the direct harm they do to themselves and others by going to these slave marts, and accepting the low wages that these heartless employers offer them.

Early in the Battle of Tassafaronga, New Orleans took a torpedo hit in her port bow which exploded two magazines and blew off the forward part of the ship back to No. 2 turret. Assigned to the forward battle repair party, Marts was gravely injured by the blast and fires. However, in complete disregard for his own safety, he assisted in carrying an injured medical officer to the battle dressing station amidships where he collapsed from loss of blood and exhaustion. He died from his wounds shortly afterward.

The 2002 Bob Jane T-Marts 1000 was a motor race for V8 Supercars, held on 13 October 2002 at the Mount Panorama Circuit just outside Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia. It was the tenth round of the 2002 V8 Supercar Championship Series. The race was the sixth running of the Australia 1000 race, first held after the organisational split over the Bathurst 1000 that occurred in 1997. It was the 46th race for which a lineage can be traced back to the 1960 Armstrong 500 held at Phillip Island (including the 1960 race itself).

After shakedown off Bermuda, Marts departed New York on 4 November for convoy escort duty off the Atlantic coast of South America. She reached Trinidad, British West Indies, on 9 November, and during the next five months operated in the 4th Fleet escorting ships between Trinidad and Recife, Brazil. As escort for , she departed Bahia, Brazil, on 23 May 1944 and patrolled the mid-Atlantic, south of the Equator, in search of German U-boats, until returning to Bahia on 5 June. She made two more patrols during the next month; and, after escorting Omaha to Gibraltar on 13 July, she returned to Recife the 23rd.
James Ingleby (born 1945) was appointed Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire by Her Majesty The Queen on 13 July 2010 having been made a Deputy Lieutenant in July 1992. He is an Associate of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the Royal Company of Archers, a former Director of Aberdeen and Northern Marts and a past Chairman of the North East Landowners Federation and of the North East Sail Training Association. The Ackerman School District and Bowman School were established in 1895 and has served as a focal point for the Bowman community since its establishment. When widening of the interstate cut a swathe through the area, the school remained to keep the community intact. More than 25 years after the closure of its last coal mine, the village retains a strong sense of community. Rogers BMW carried sponsorship from Bob Jane T-Marts, with the car painted in Bob Jane's famous Hugger Orange. At the 1986 James Hardie 1000, Rogers teamed with Queenslander Charlie O'Brien. After qualifying 22nd, O'Brien started the race, but the car was struck down by a slipping clutch which led to its retirement after just 19 laps with Rogers not actually getting to drive. After spending 1987 on ice, the team came back in late-1988 with a Les Small (Roadways Racing) prepared, but unsponsored Holden VL Commodore SS Group A SV at the Tooheys 1000, sharing the drive with American John Andretti, the nephew of motor racing legend Mario Andretti.
Peter Brock also won three consecutive events for the Holden Dealer Team from 1979 to 1981. The 1987 championship round, won by Glenn Seton, saw the world debut of, amongst others, the BMW M3 and the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth. It was the first of three major touring car races at the circuit in 1987, with a post-season endurance race and the Bob Jane T-Marts 500, a round of the World Touring Car Championship, held on the combined road circuit and oval layout. From 1989 to 1995, the circuit dropped off the calendar after a deal was struck for the circuit not to feature any tobacco sponsorship.
The script was rewritten over a hundred times, with rewrites continuing after work on the animation began in 2006. The company was founded in early 1961 as Miracle Mart Limited by Montreal-based grocery chain Steinberg's. Later in the year, Steinberg's associated itself with Vancouver- based chain Woodward's, and operated the first two stores, in Pont-Viau and Place Greenfield Park, under the trade name of Woodward Steinberg. The partnership between Steinberg's and Woodward ended in 1962, and the two Woodward Steinberg stores were converted to the Miracle Mart name. Miracle Mart operated at mid-level and competed with the likes of Towers/Bonimart, Zellers, Woolco and Kmart. There was also a similarly named grocery chain, Miracle Food Mart (Steinberg's rebranded all their Ontario grocery stores to Miracle Food Marts starting in 1969), that operated exclusively in Ontario.
The idea for the museum came about when Mr. and Mrs. Crow decided they would like to keep the collection intact as a legacy for their children and grandchildren, and the general public. Volvo made its first appearance in a major endurance race at Bathurst since the factory supported Volvo Dealer Racing finished second and third in the 1999 Bob Jane T-Marts 500 with a pair of Volvo S40s. Garry Rogers Motorsport ran Volvo S60s under the banner of Volvo Polestar Racing.
The site was leased by Wal-Mart, which demolished the mall to build the first and only (until December 4, 2013, when two Wal-Marts opened in Washington, D.C.) Wal-Mart store inside the Capital Beltway. The new Wal-Mart opened in March 2007 and featured over 11,000 applicants for 330 jobs. As of October 2018, both signs that advertised the mall are still standing: the one located at the entrance which had the features of the mall listed and the one located off of MD 450 that has been renovated to promote the area's new name of simply Capital Plaza. The UniverSoul circus, an attraction that begun when the mall was standing, still rents out the location to host its events.
Early advertising materials for the Westwood Village development featured images of the Ralphs tower and the Janss dome, which became area landmarks. The opening of the store in the fall of 1929 was timed to coincide with the opening of the UCLA campus, and the Los Angeles Times proclaimed the store "one of the most beautiful exclusive grocery marts in the West." The opening was celebrated with a free food show, as Ralphs boasted a new feature at their Westwood store -- "the employment of uniformed boys to wrap each purchase of merchandise while it is being paid for at the cashier's stand, and then carry it to the customer's car." In 1940, Ansel Adams took a series of photographs of Westwood Village, some featuring the Ralphs building.

The race was won by Steve Soper and Pierre Dieudonné driving a Ford Sierra RS500 for Eggenberger Motorsport.

Murphy was appointed National Organiser of Macra na Feirme in 1953, and played a role in the formation of the National Farmers Association in 1955. His work brought him around Ireland and he found himself being introduced as “the man who knew more people in the country than anyone else” and “the voice of rural Ireland”. This, together with a distinctive speaking voice, found him in demand as a presenter of Sponsored Radio Programmes, between 1961 and 1979, for a nine different companies including: Whelehans of Finglas, Irish Farmers Journal, ACC, Nitrogen Éireann, Bank of Ireland, Associated Livestock Marts, Farming Independent, Hygeia of Galway and Goulding Fertilisers. Prior to the 24 Hour race, GRM also completed limited testing with its four nominated drivers at the tight Winton Motor Raceway.

The R41 route begins in Johannesburg, at an intersection with the two one-way-streets of the R24 route (Albertina Sisulu Road and Commissioner Street). The route begins by going west-south-west, named Main Reef Road and meeting the western end of the R29 Route. South-west of the city centre, in the suburb of Crown, the R41 meets the western end of the M2 Johannesburg-Germiston Highway (Francis Oberholzer Freeway), meets the M17 Road of Johannesburg and continues west, bypassing various Chinese marts and shopping centres in the area.
