The circle is found by holding the blade of the cutting instrument (never the handle) in the hand used for cutting, and slowly swinging the arm in a 360° arc. The far end of the handle marks the limits of the circle. Any person or thing within this circle is considered to be at risk of being wounded by a slip of the blade.

The Thames Path, running through Cricklade, heads downstream on the south bank to Eysey Footbridge, where it crosses to the other bank. The North Wilts Canal, opened in 1819, passed to the west of the town, linking the Thames and Severn Canal with the Wilts and Berks Canal. Espíritu Santo Cape at the eastern end of the Strait of Magellan Espíritu Santo Cape () is a headland in Tierra del Fuego at the eastern entrance of the Strait of Magellan on its southern, opposite Punta Dungeness in the mainland. Espíritu Santo Cape marks the border between Chile and Argentina, and according to the Treaty of Peace and Friendship of 1984 between Chile and Argentina the line between Punta Dungeness and Cabo del Espiritu Santo marks the limits of each country's territorial waters.

Terai is the lowland region containing some hill ranges. The plains were formed and are fed by three major Himalayan rivers: the Koshi, the Narayani, and the Karnali as well as smaller rivers rising below the permanent snowline. This region has subtropical to tropical climate. The outermost range of the foothills called Sivalik Hills or Churia Range, cresting at , marks the limits of the Gangetic Plain; however broad, low valleys called Inner Terai Valleys () lie north of these foothills in several places.

The broader Golan plateau exhibits a more subdued topography, generally ranging between in elevation. In Israel, the Golan plateau is divided into three regions: northern (between the Sa'ar and Jilabun valleys), central (between the Jilabun and Daliyot valleys), and southern (between the Daliyot and Yarmouk valleys). The Golan Heights is bordered on the west by a rock escarpment that drops to the Jordan River valley and the Sea of Galilee.
