HONG KONG/SEOUL (Reuters) - Bitcoin, battered by warnings about volatility and bubble-like appreciation, may have found a way to play a niche role in a big market: overseas money transfers.

In the bond market, overseas holdings surged 70 percent over the past 12 months to 1.75 trillion yuan ($255.25 billion), although this too is meager, accounting for just 2 percent of the market.

And under the Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor (QFII) scheme - another main channel for foreigners to access China's stock market - overseas holdings in Chinese listed companies jumped 18 percent during the second quarter to 111.3 billion yuan, according to Yuanta Financial Holdings.

Chinese used vehicle exporting is a grey market international trade involving the export of used cars and other vehicles from China to other markets around the world. With 300 million cars in China, Chinese vehicles are now entering the used vehicle market overseas to boost demand for the domestic market. According to the African Courier, it's suggested that the export of used cars is a way to deepen implementations to the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Australian Government reviewed the 457 skilled immigrant visa and made some provisions to quicken the transition to permanent residency starting on 1 July 2012. From that date, non-resident workers on the 457 skilled immigration visa are able to transition to permanent residency if they have two years with the employer who has sponsored them and if the employer provides a full-time position in the 457 visa holder's nominated occupation. Furthermore, the Australian government has recognised that 457 visas deserve priority in review as they are highly responsive to the needs of the market. Overseas workers will be able to work in Australia on a six-month short term work visa before they apply for a 457 visa.
