Ms. Cope creates original artwork by marbleizing paper using traditional methods or painting by hand, and scans the finished pieces into a computer at high resolution.

This unique fusion of digital and analog technology allows the various moments of ink flow that happen throughout the marbleizing process to be scanned digitally and transposed within a singular image, a smashing of temporal moments into a singular image somewhat like a contemporary iteration of photographer Marey's iconic motion studies.

Chapel Hill is a historic home located near Mint Spring, Augusta County, Virginia. It was built about 1834, and is a two-story, three bay, brick I-house dwelling in the Federal style. The front facade features a central pedimented pavilion with an elliptical fanlight over the doorway and another in the pediment. The interior features French scenic wallpaper, woodgraining and marbleizing.

Windows come in a variety of window shapes and sizes, and the facade is ornamented with panels, band courses, and piers. The current front porch, constructed in 1920, is a wraparound brick porch with a small projecting portico supported by brick columns. The Hebrew Congregation of Mountaindale Synagogue is located along Sullivan County Route 55 near the south end of the hamlet of Mountaindale, New York, United States. It is a small stucco building dating to 1917, expanded slightly in the 1930s. The interior is notable for its heavy use of marbleizing and other decorative touches. A 2009 traffic accident and fire caused some damage to the roof.

Coiner House, also known as Koyner House and Koiner House, is a historic home located near Crimora, Augusta County, Virginia. It was built about 1825, and is a two-story, three-bay brick "I-house", with an original one-story kitchen wing. Attached to the kitchen wing is a two-story, frame ell dated to the early 20th century. The interior features colorful graining, marbleizing, and polychromy, as well as elaborate provincial woodwork.

Thomas Kershaw (1819-1898) was a leading British pioneer of marbleizing, the creation of imitation marble finishes. He was born in Standish, Lancashire and from the age of 12 served his time as an apprentice to John Platt, a Bolton painter and decorator. During this time he bought graining tools with money earned from painting pictures and developed his skills in the art of wood graining. On completion of his apprenticeship he moved firstly to Manchester, then York and finally in 1845 to London.

The railing and the door are richly decorated with roses, garlands, leaves and bows. The abat-voix is painted woodwork with dark yellow marbleizing, decorated with rosettes, brackets and leaves. On the underside there is a silvery dove surrounded by a meander strip; on the top an allegorical female statue representing the Church is holding a chalice and a church model. The canopy-like base of the statue is decorated with wreathes and it is surrounded by four putti holding the Tablets of Stone and the cross, flanked by flowering urns.

Gruenke oversees studio operations, including managing and supervising, restoration and renovation projects, and coordinating all phases of the craft associated with architectural arts and decorative interior schemes. The studio's collection of stained glass artwork is on display at the Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows at Navy Pier in Chicago. The art studio specializes in the investigation and documentation of original decorative schemes, gilding, glazing, marbleizing, scagliola PWC magazine, "Fabulous Faux, New life for an Old Art". and stenciling as well as the new design, replication or conservation of stained glass and murals.

Notable features include a fanlight and sidelights framing double paneled front doors, original false graining on all original doors, original marbleizing on surviving mantels, and handwriting (including notes, poems and other records) on walls throughout the house, with the earliest dating to 1870. The nearby Old Bridgeport Road is a registered Mississippi Landmark. The current site has had a variety of uses, first as a Native American camp, later as Hall's Plantation, which was occupied by Union troops on numerous occasions during the Civil War, and finally as the center of an African American tenant farming community.

Carigiet visited primary and secondary schools in Chur, as well as the "Kantonsschule", the canton's gymnasium, which he quit in 1918 in order to start an apprenticeship as a decorative designer and draftsman with master painter Martin Räth. While learning the art of graining, marbleizing, gold plating and other techniques of decorative art in Räth's atelier, Carigiet spent a lot of his spare time filling volumes of sketchbooks with drawings of rural and urban scenes, farm animals and pets, anatomical studies of heads and beaks of the birds exhibited at Chur's natural history museum, as well as with numerous caricatures of his acquaintances and family. Räth noticed the apprentice's talent as well, and one of Carigiet's appointed creations, an assembly of decorated vases for the Siebler & Co. shop windows, seems to have received particular appreciation. Carigiet finished his apprenticeship in 1923, with the highest grade in every subject.

On December 2, 2007, after 20 years of renovation work that cost US$20 million, the Eldridge Street Project completed the restoration and opened to the public as the Museum at Eldridge Street, reflecting its cultural and educational mission, within the synagogue building. The museum offers informative tours that relate to American Jewish history, the history of the Lower East Side and immigration.
