After a chase through the streets, Fly and Site are caught and severely beat by members of Tony's gang.

The 6 prisoners explain to them both of the rules and how it works, as well as where they are as they are very confused and thirsty. they are forced to march in the desert as 1 of the prisoners silently explains an escape plan for him. After the march 1 prisoner also reveals that his father may be alive after all since he was sent to the same prison 14 years ago. As soon as they launch it into action after discussing it inside the cargo container, he makes a run for it while the 6 prisoners make a distraction before promptly being gunned down by the guards.

Billy goes with the police to a nearby market and points out the cab driver, but when they go to arrest the cabbie, it becomes apparent that the police have no intention of keeping their end of the deal with Billy. He sees an opportunity and makes a run for it, only to get cornered and recaptured by the mysterious American. During his first night in holding at a local jail, a freezing-cold Billy sneaks out of his cell and steals a blanket.

Rick's suspicions about Darren are confirmed when he catches him kissing Debbie's arch-enemy Louise Barker (Katrina McEwan). Rick visits Debbie's brother, Michael Martin (Troy Beckwith) in the detention centre where Darren had also been incarcerated, and Michael reveals to Rick that Darren has a grudge against him and was plans to involve Debbie in a petrol station robbery. Rick helps Michael to escape the detention centre and the two rush to rescue Debbie from being an accessory to Darren's crime. In the confusion, Michael is shot by the cashier and Darren makes a run for it but Rick catches and restrains him until the police arrives.

After being assured the "freezing" effects will eventually wear off, Richie ask Mork exactly how long they will be gone; the spaceman tells Richie it will be a mere 2,000 years in Earth time. When Mork is not looking, though, Richie makes a run for it, escaping to Arnold's. Back at Arnold's, Richie tells Fonzie in the men's room that there is a spaceman after him.

Though when Tina believes that the Mad Pooper will strike at the anti-smoking assembly in the gymnasium, Louise distracts the school secretary, Tina makes a run for it and confronts the Mad Pooper, who is revealed to be nobody else than Zeke. He claims he was responsible for being the Mad Pooper so he could stimulate the attention towards Tina News and then poops in the gymnasium. Louise, who also is in the gym, pushes Tammy towards the falling turd, but it doesn't strike her.

Minetti offers to either take Danny to her house in Doniphan or back to the armory; Danny asks to walk the way to the Kmart on his own, and dodges all obstacles along the way once he departs. When he arrives, he finds out the store's parking lot has been turned into an emergency command post and all civilians taken to the store were evacuated during the night due to high water, being transported to other shelters. Just as Dan makes a run for it back to his destroyed house to see if either of his parents went there, John – with Linda and Ryan in the passenger's seat – drives up behind in his pickup truck as Danny crosses Fonner Park, where the family is reunited. Danny finds out that the tornado that hit Phillips had missed the farm (although the crops in the farmland were flooded by the heavy rain accompanying the storm), and that John spent much of the overnight searching around Grand Island for the rest of the family after returning to town and the remnants of their home on Sand Crane Drive around 1:15 a.m.
