Farraday and his policemen eavesdrop through the door. Once he realizes he is trapped, Caveroni makes a break for it, but is shot dead.

Hannah and Paca return to the Kirby's ranch but are unable to prevent his murder on Montgomery's command. Knowing she is about to become an unwilling free agent to any man that wants her, Paca makes a break for it with Hannah escorting her out of town as she attempts to return to her people. A half-dozen men see her leaving and give chase, hoping to claim the newly-minted widow as their own. Outside of town the women come upon Five Crows.

At the station, a Red Cross doctor, a Scot who believes his story, dresses his wounded arm while a nurse reads aloud the passenger list of the train departing for Bucharest. When he hears Alexandra's name, Peter crashes through the door and runs for the moving train, calling her name. He clings to the outside of the cars. She hears him, tears the shade away from the window beside her bed, and reaches out to him crying “Here!” as the train speeds them to safety.

With the help of Else von Brandt (Dorothy Tree), the gangsters capture and quickly cut his hair and shave off his moustache as SS soldiers try to break the door in. When the SS manage to enter the room, they fail to recognize their leader and drag all the men, including Hitler, outside to be shot. A desperate Hitler makes a break for it and is shot by the SS officer in charge, who states disdainfully and ironically: "To think that Germany could produce a piece of filth like you." Steve makes a long patriotic speech while facing a firing squad.

Tenderheart Bear makes an attempt to climb up to Coldheart's castle, but is caught in a trap by Coldheart himself on the way up. Wish Bear makes an immediately granted wish to be teleported to Coldheart's castle with Grumpy Bear and Donna (and all the other Care Bears too, including Tenderheart), after several times being interrupted when attempting to make a wish and seeing if it would actually come true. The Care Bears use their magic 'Care Bear Stare' to change Kevin and the other children back to human, and Coldheart makes a break for it.

Later, the refuse collector, George Patterson (Walter Baldwin), who happens upon the situation after noticing Griffin's car in the garage, is silenced by murder, after being forced to drive into the country. Finally, after convincing law enforcement personnel that their plan to storm the residence is too risky for his family, the father, Daniel Hilliard (Fredric March), plays a trick on Griffin using an unloaded handgun. Then, he forces the convict out of the house with the outlaw's own weapon trained on him. Griffin is subsequently machine-gunned to death when he hurls the firearm at a police spotlight and makes a break for it.

As their only means of escape, Stanley, the leader of the Fluppies, manages to get a woman to pick him as a pet for her son, Jamie; he plans to eventually return to the pound to free the others. Jamie is disappointed at this new dog, which is smaller than he hoped, but he takes him for a walk. Taking the opportunity, Stanley escapes his leash and makes a break for it, but Jamie pursues him so as to not anger his mother for losing his new pet so soon. Unfortunately, the chase leads to a construction site and Jamie finds himself in danger, forcing Stanley to reveal his intelligence and humanoid nature to save him.

When crossing paths again, Michael suffers a heart attack when he makes a break for it and pleads help from an unfazed Phelan. Rather than help his rival as he previously did before, however, Phelan reclaims his passport and — declaring victory in the feud between them — tells Michael that his "time is up", further linking his fate to a rabbit that Phelan had once shot with an air rifle; with Phelan subsequently watching the rabbit die as he didn't have the "bottle" to put it out its misery. Phelan then goes to clear out the mess that was left at the site office, leaving Michael for dead in the process. Anna alerts Gary to the situation and he heads down to confront Phelan but does not notice a dying Michael succumbing to his heart attack and taking his last breath.

When Fudd goes into the kitchen to fix his lunch, the lion makes a break for it by putting on a cloak and running outside, but the hunters still shoot at him, so the lion runs back to his hiding place in Fudd's house. Meanwhile, Fudd prepares a steak with numerous hot spices and a cup of boiling hot coffee, but sets it on the table when he realizes he forgot the bread. The lion leaves the stuffed head slot to eat the steak (unaware it is coated with hot sauce), and when he tries to wash it down with the drink, he gets even hotter and blows fire, screaming. Going back to his hiding spot, Fudd wonders what happened to his steak, but is interrupted by a phone call saying that hunting season is cancelled and that he has to take the hunting signs down.
