Henry Howard Greenhouse was born in Rhymney, near Caerphilly (then in Monmouthshire), to former Jack Greenhouse and his wife Una. A park worker tells Calder that he saw what he thought was a park maintenance man up on the tracks earlier that day but did not state that the man was someone other than the park had authorized to be there.

On August 17, 2006, Masumi Hayashi and her neighbor, the 51-year-old artist and sculptor John Jackson were shot to death by Jacob Cifelli, a 29-year-old neighbor in their apartment building on Detroit Avenue in Cleveland's Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood, after she had complained to Cifelli about his loud music, which she had endured, and complained about, for months. Jackson (who also worked as a maintenance man at the apartment complex) was slain while attempting to assist Hayashi after she was shot. Cefili received a life sentence for the murders. She is survived by a son, Dean Keesey of Oakland; a daughter, Lisa Takata; a brother, Seigo; and four sisters: Connie, Amy, Nancy, and Joanne.

After leaving college in 1957 with a business degree, Sowell embarked on a career in the military, finally retiring with the rank of lieutenant colonel in 1980.

After the show, Torini strangles and kills Kevin in his dressing room with a piece of piano wire, then leaves the building disguised as a repairman. Unfortunately, he is spotted by Monk (who is looking for Kevin) and accidentally gives himself away when he gestures in the direction of the dressing rooms with his middle two fingers together (Monk concludes that Torini was the so-called "maintenance man" when Torini makes a similar gesture at Kevin's funeral). Monk opens the door to the dressing room minutes later to find Kevin's dead body. Despite the fact that Monk is always shown to be annoyed by Kevin, he is seen crying after Kevin's murder, hinting at a possible friendship they had.

Kyle was a stockbroker whose constant verbal sparring with Max did little to mask their obvious sexual attraction. Overton was the friendly, but country, maintenance man for the owner of their (and neighboring) building who held deep affection for Synclaire and plenty of hilarious homespun wisdom for everyone else. The Karate Kid , known as The Kung Fu Dream in China, is a 2010 wuxia martial arts drama film directed by Harald Zwart, and part of The Karate Kid series. It stars Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan in lead roles, and it was produced by Jerry Weintraub, James Lassiter, Ken Stovitz and Jaden's parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. The plot concerns 12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) from Detroit, Michigan who moves to Beijing, China with his mother (Taraji P. Henson) and runs afoul of the neighborhood bully (Zhenwei Wang). He makes an unlikely ally in the form of an aging maintenance man, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), a kung fu master who teaches him the secrets of self-defense.

He was drafted into the United States Navy in 1944 while living in Los Angeles and spent two years stationed at the San Diego Naval Station. He was discharged as a fireman first class and returned to a life of drifting, working in Miami as a machinist in the mid-1950s, as a hotel maintenance man in Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Jamaica during the 1960s, and as a helicopter mechanic in South Vietnam from 1969-1970. In 1971, he was seriously injured while working on an oil rig in Brunei and recuperated in Singapore before traveling across South Asia. Upon calling the number, callers were played an automated message that stated that Weyland Corporation's lines were busy, at which point a text message was sent that linked to a video narrated by Fassbender that showed David being unboxed, prior to his awakening. A month later, on April 17, an extended version of the unboxing video was released, with David providing additional insight into his function aboard the Prometheus as the ship's butler and maintenance man, as well as advertising his ability to seamlessly replicate human emotions without the restrictions of ethics or distress. Released with the video was also a poster featuring David, which was printed as a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal.

12-year-old Dre Parker and his widowed single mother Sherry, are leaving Detroit travelling to Beijing after she gets a job transfer at a car factory. Dre goes to a nearby park where he eyes a young violinist, Meiying, who reciprocates his attention, but a 14-year-old Chinese boy named Cheng, a rebellious kung fu prodigy whose family is close to Meiying's, holds a grudge against Dre and keeps them apart by brutally attacking, teasing and bullying Dre every time he gets the chance to. After a school field trip to the Forbidden City, Dre throws a bucket of dirty water over Cheng and his friends, enraging them. They chase him across the city streets, corner him at a Backstreet alley, and brutally beat Dre up until he is saved by the maintenance man, Mr. Han, who fends off the boys and reveals himself to be a kung fu master.

In the course of their early morning date, she is accused of embezzling bank funds by her now sober boss, has her car repossessed off the street in front of her, reveals to Harald she has a gambling addiction, and has an emotional breakdown during which she proposes to drown herself. Enter Harald to the rescue; after he has her over to his apartment to calm her down with hot chocolate, Harald invites Vilborg out to his summer cabin, after which the personal baggage of each grows. Harald has a needy developmentally disabled adult sister, Vilborg has an adolescent son whom she initially forgets to collect, and Harald is busy as the summer cabin association chair and sewer-line maintenance man. To further frustrate the opportunity for romance between the new couple, Vilborg's ex- husband Palmi appears at the summer cabin, and Harald's mom is being pursued by her long-time boyfriend.

After 10 years on the force, during the night of August 8, 1982 – while on special assignment from the LAPD as an undercover Security Guard for Consolidated Chemical Corporation in Las Vegas, Nevada for six months – his long-time partner, Muntzy (Herbert Jefferson, Jr.), working undercover as a maintenance man, was killed by Security Guard Gray (Lance LeGault). In the pilot episode, police officer Michael Arthur Long (played by Larry Anderson) was betrayed by a female informant and nearly killed by a gunshot wound to the head by an industrial espionage expert named Tanya Walker (Phyllis Davis). A metal plate in Long's skull – the result of the head injury, mentioned above, sustained during the Vietnam War ten years earlier – deflected the round, which still inflicted serious facial damage. Tim Hus (born in Nelson, British Columbia) is a Canadian country/folk singer, based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Tim Hus and his Travelin' Band, which includes bull fiddler Riley Tubbs, Billy MacInnis on lead guitar and fiddle, and occasionally Pat Phillips on drums, have toured from coast to coast performing their true Canadian music. His music is coined as "Canadiana Cowboy Music" and tells tales of the Historic West and those who formed it. Tim has shared the stage with many other great talents such as Canadian legend Stompin' Tom Connors, Ian Tyson, Tim Harwill and Gary Fjellgaard and worked with Corb Lund on the song "Hurtin' Albertan". He has worked as a carpenter’s helper, framer, warehouse hand, forklift driver, van driver, treeplanter, brewery worker, beer truck driver, fruit picker, fisherman, pine cone picker, sawhand, cabinet maker, well driller, painter, courier, assembly line worker, salmon farmer, furniture mover, labourer, and a maintenance man.

At the beginning of the first series, we are introduced to the main characters, a group of mostly female and middle-aged canteen workers at a factory, set in the Greater Manchester area, North West England: the main character is the kind and dependable Brenda 'Bren' Furlong (played by Victoria Wood), whose relationship with sarcastic and exhausted canteen manager Tony Martin (Andrew Dunn) develops through the show. The prim and prudish Dolly Bellfield (Thelma Barlow) and her waspish friend Jean (Anne Reid) are also featured, as well as the younger pair of the snarky Twinkle (Maxine Peake), who is always late, and the ditzy but mild-mannered Anita (Shobna Gulati). Stan Meadowcroft (Duncan Preston) is an opinionated and easily provoked (but well-meaning) maintenance man who is responsible for cleaning the factory and fixing equipment. The new cheery but disorganised human resources manager Philippa Moorcroft (Celia Imrie) is from the South and initially doesn't fit in well with the rest of the staff; she moved to Manchester because of her relationship with senior member of staff Mr Michael (Christopher Greet).

In 2012, USA Today named Portland among the top ten most haunted cities in the United States. Reportedly haunted locales in Portland include the Bagdad Theater, a vaudeville theater built by Universal Studios in 1927, which is reportedly haunted by a maintenance man who committed suicide in the building; Pittock Mansion, a mansion overlooking the city that is reportedly haunted by its original owners; the Roseland Theater, a former church and music venue that is haunted by a club promoter who was murdered there; and, perhaps most widely reported, the city's Shanghai tunnels, made up of various passages that run beneath the streets of Northwest Portland that were used to smuggle prostitutes and sailors onto ships in the port, where they were often sold into slavery or forced labor. Other locations alleged to be haunted include the Hot Lake Hotel in Union County; the Multnomah County Poor Farm in Troutdale; Rhododendron Village, a stop along the Oregon Trail near Mt. Hood; and the Welches Roadhouse, where a pregnant woman jumped to her death.

After his father's death, Webb worked as a part-time presser, as a golf course weeder, as a country club maintenance man, and as a receiving and shipping clerk. After hearing the call to preach, Webb was licensed by the Abyssinia Baptist Church of Philadelphia in 1941. He married, and to provide for his family, he worked at the Frankfurt Arsenal as a messenger, a millwright helper, a storage clerk, and a packer. In 1944 Webb was ordained by the Kaighn Avenue Baptist Church of Camden, New Jersey, and became its assistant pastor. In December 1944, Webb assumed leadership of Monumental Baptist Church in Jersey City, New Jersey a small, struggling church. Webb served as a chaplain for the New Jersey National Guard, beginning in 1949. He served in three commands of the 50th Armored Division and, from 1966 to 1971, was Division Chaplain. He spent 18 months in the Army Reserve, and then became State Chaplain at the Department of Defense, New Jersey in 1973 as a Colonel, retiring in 1976. Webb commuted to Eastern Baptist College in St. Davids, Pennsylvania, receiving his A.B. and M.R.E. degrees in 1949.
