"Love Shy (Thinking About You)" (often shortened to Love Shy) is the second single by UK bassline group Platnum. It was released after the success of "What's It Gonna Be" with H "Two" O. The original version of "Love Shy" had been given a bassline makeover by DJ/producer Shaun 'Banger' Scott at the end of 2007. The remix was well received in the bassline scene; this is possibly the reason that Platnum decided to produce their own version.

It was the first of two hit singles for Kristine Blond. She returned to the chart for the final time in 2002 with "You Make Me Go Oooh" which made number 35. Mixmag included the Tuff Jam Vocal Mix of "Love Shy" in their list of "16 of the Best Uplifting Vocal Garage Tracks". "Love Shy" was re-worked by British group Platnum and released in 2008 with the title "Love Shy (Thinking About You)", reaching number 12 in the UK.

Benson stated in an interview that his parents had consented to the scene (which was filmed on a closed set) on the conditions that no frontal nudity be shown, and that he and O'Connor not be fully nude (according to Benson, they both wore flesh-colored underwear). In a 1970s study of "love-shy" men done by Dr. Brian G. Gilmartin, with "love-shyness" being defined as "shyness that prevails in coeducational or man/woman situations wherein there is no purpose but pure, unadulterated friendliness and sociability", Jeremy ranked as the favorite film among the 300 love-shy men in the study. Many of the men had seen the film more than once, with 17 men seeing it 20 or more times.

"Love Shy" is a song by Danish singer Kristine Blond, released as a single in 1997. It first entered the UK Singles Chart in 1998, peaking at number 22. It reached the top forty in the UK again two years later in November 2000, landing at number 28, due to the Club Asylum remix of the track becoming a UK garage club hit. The theme of the song discusses incelibacy and overcoming it.

TV Guide, December 6–12, 1969, pp A-63 – A-64 In 1970, Blocker portrayed a love-shy galoot in The Cockeyed Cowboys of Calico County, with Nanette Fabray as a love prospect and a supporting cast featuring Jim Backus, Jack Elam, Noah Beery Jr., and Mickey Rooney. Blocker also appeared on NBC's The Flip Wilson Show comedy hour. Director Robert Altman befriended Blocker while directing episodes of Bonanza. Years later, he cast Blocker as Roger Wade in The Long Goodbye, but Blocker died before filming began.

According to Gilmartin, the appeal of the film to the love- shy men in his study was due to O'Connor's physical appearance and the love- shyness of the title character as played by Benson.

The Chemical Brothers met at the University of Manchester and played their first gig at 'The Bop', a popular student night that was located within the University of Manchester's Owens Park halls of residence. Garage vocal group Platnum who had hit singles "What’s It Gonna Be" and "Love Shy" reaching number 2 in the UK charts with the former.
