Then a person wearing a mask comes crawling out through the broken window, carrying a bag which turns out to be full of expensive jewellery.

Residents of Bridgeyate are fortunate that it looks across magnificent open countryside to the East, with walks over ridges and the Avon Valley towards the villages of Beach and Upton Cheyney and beyond to Lansdown and Bath. Bridgeyate is very well sited strategically, with rapid access to the cities of Bristol and Bath and to the M4 motorway by road, although public transport provision is poor with no local railway station and sporadic bus services. For cyclists and walkers, the renowned Bristol-Bath railway path runs straight past Bridgeyate. Also there seems to be bit of confusion as to how it is spelt, some road signs and maps say Bridgeyate and some say Bridge Yate.

These "Daughters of Night"Hughes, 386 were headed by Atropos, the inexorable goddess of death, who carries a few scissors to cut the thread of life; Clotho, with her distaff (which Goya replaces with a doll or newborn child, possibly an allegory of life), and Lachesis, the spinning one, which in this representation looks across a lens or in a mirror and symbolizes time, since she was the one who measured the length of the fiber. To the three female figures suspended in the air a fourth figure is added in the foreground. Possibly male, this figure's hands are bound behind him as if he is captive. If this interpretation is true, the fates would be deciding the destiny of the man whose bound hands cannot be opposed to his fate.

While the former picture looks across the bridge with the ironworks diagonally crossing the picture to the right, with a scene of partially interacting figures on the bridge to the left, the latter depicts the iron structure of the bridge face-on in a strong close-up of its industrial geometry, with three male figures to the left side of the painting all looking in different directions (the Pont de l'Europe is a massive bridge spanning the railyard of the newly expanded station, which at that time had an iron-work trellis). In 1877, painter Claude Monet rented a studio near the Gare Saint Lazare. That same year he exhibited seven paintings of the railway station in an impressionist painting exhibition. He completed 12 paintings of this subject.

Large attractive houses continue westwards from the pier towards Baron's Point, which marks the southern entrance to Loch Long, almost to the adjoining village of Cove which looks across Cove Bay towards Blairmore, only about 2 miles (3 km) distant, but separated by the deep waters of Loch Long. To the east of the pier, houses at Portkil extend down to Portkil Bay, and the 413-foot (126 m) hill at Rosneath home farm is topped by a television mast. A ferry subsidised by Strathclyde Partnership for Transport provides a regular service from Kilcreggan pier across the Clyde to Gourock. Until 2012, the ferry service also included crossings of the Gare Loch to Helensburgh, and was operated by Clyde Marine Services which ran the elderly until 2007 when they introduced the new for the route.

The oldest part of Netley retains the feel of a somewhat old-fashioned and quaint village, with some traditional small shops, and rows of colourful terraced cottages. It is located along the eastern shore of Southampton Water; the shingle beach looks across to Hythe and Fawley, although the vista is somewhat dominated by Fawley Oil Refinery. Away from the shore, larger estates of houses have developed over the years which have greatly increased Netley's population and blurred the boundary between Netley Abbey and Butlocks Heath. There were two schools linked to each other, called Netley Abbey Infant School and Netley Abbey & Butlocks Heath County Junior School; there was extensive building on the site of the junior school in the late 1980s, and the site now provides a primary school for the village.

The song is about an exile from Aird Uí Chumhaing who looks across at his native coastline from the Mull of Kintre in Scotland and dreams of finding a boat that will carry him back to his childhood home, where he longs to live out the rest of his days. The sixth track is another medley of reels: "Paddy's Return" learned from the Tulla Céilí Band, "Willy Coleman's", written by Willy Coleman who came from County Sligo, and "Up in the Air", written by Burke and Ó Domhnaill. The seventh track also consists of three reels: "Lucy's Fling" was written by Lucy Farr, "S'iomadh Rud A Chunnaic Mi", a piece of mouth music in Scottish Gaelic, was learned from Finlay MacNeill, and "Some Say the Devil is Dead", a traditional tune. "Is Fada Liom Uaim Í" is another traditional song that Ó Domhnaill learned from his aunt Neilí.

The AT leaves the state park for a National Park Service-owned corridor here, and the other trails provide access to Sugarloaf Hill, whose summit looks across the river at the village of Highland Falls and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Here, near Garrison, the southern parcels end. North of the villages of Cold Spring and Nelsonville is the central and largest section. Starting at the Little Stony Point area along the river, which is separated from the rest of the parcel by the easement for the New York City water supply system's Catskill Aqueduct, this section contains Bull Hill and Breakneck Ridge, with Breakneck Brook between them, then sprawls into Dutchess County, where it includes Pollepel Island, Sugarloaf Mountain, the south summit of Beacon Mountain and Beacon Reservoir, reaching its northern terminus at the Dry Brook trailhead at the end of Pocket Road in the city of Beacon.
