The slender barb or longbeard barb (Enteromius unitaeniatus) is a species of ray-finned fish in the genus Enteromius which has a wide distribution from the Democratic Republic of the Congo to South Africa.

Lord of the Rings Online launched with four playable races: Dwarves, Elves, Hobbits and Men. In 2014 a new race of Beornings was added, although this race is only for the new class of the same name. Mordor expansion in 2017 added the new High Elf race. In 2019 a new race of "Stout-Axe Dwarves" was added, representing a dwarven clan from the far east of Middle-Earth with an appearance distinct from that of Longbeard dwarves.

Already in 1589 Lodge had given to the world a volume of poems bearing the title of the chief among them, Scillaes Metamorphosis, Enterlaced with the Unfortunate Love of Glaucus, more briefly known as Glaucus and Scilla. To this tale Shakespeare was possibly indebted for the idea of Venus and Adonis.

He was the first of Genghis Khan's retainers to formulate policy during the Mongol invasions and conquests, and he also introduced many administrative reforms in North China during the reign of Genghis Khan and his successor Ögedei.
