He has a device to capture the life forces and contain them in spheres, and once his mission is over, he has to take them back to SAR TOP. A brilliant scientist named Zin engineers the jailbreak from SAR-TOP prison, located a hundred light years away from Earth. Zin creates a wormhole, which allows almost instantaneous travel from the Migar solar system to Earth. The wormhole ends in Chicago, where Zin and the escapees have taken over the bodies of human beings and blended into society, but still retain some of their alien otherworldly abilities.

Psyklop is an inventive genius and has mastery of the advanced technology of his race. Psyklop has access to a large supply of incredibly advanced technology, including a hand-held ray-blaster firing beams of concussive force, sonic displacer beams, Spasm-rays (able to disrupt the nervous systems of his victims) and teleporters. He wears body armor of unknown materials. Psyklop has also employed giant Lemurian slug creatures, teleportation rays, shrinking rays, giant robots, planetary view-scanners, dreadnought-drill (capable of producing planet-wide earthquakes), and an essence-urn (capable of storing the life-forces of living beings).

Dracula appeals to Mina to let him turn her into a vampire, so that even if Bathory kills him, Mina will be able to destroy her in her weakened state. Mina initially refuses, believing Dracula is the one who viciously murdered Jonathan and Seward; Dracula denies this, saying that he would never hurt them for an unspecified reason. However, her fear for Quincey's life forces her to give in and Dracula finally turns Mina into a vampire; shockingly, to Dracula, consuming the tainted blood he put into Mina years ago heals him and renews his strength. Quincey arrives at Carfax, and is heartbroken to see his mother dead in a coffin.

Jubb promotes a diet focused on food that has enzymes and “life-force”, the ability to reproduce, and which is found growing in the wild. This excludes raw meat and raw legumes, bananas, dates, corn, wheat, rice, milk, eggs, cheese, bread, soy milk, tofu, oats, beets, and carrots, because they “cause mold, fungus, and yeast” to grow in the body. Jubb claims food with life-forces have “measurable biophotonic energy”. “[Cooked food] is an error because no other life force on the whole of the earth eats cooked food except for humans. If we were meant to eat cooked food we'd be born with stoves attached,” he said.

The ancient Neiye presents a "seamless web … connecting the psychological, physiological, and spiritual aspects of the human being" (Roth 1999: 106). It is the earliest known text that explains self-cultivation through daily, practiced regulation of a group of life forces. Namely, qi "vital energy" (the universal force that gives life to all things), jing "vital essence" (one's innate reservoir of qi), xin "heart- mind", shen "spirit; spiritual consciousness", dao "the Way", and de "inner power". These terms later became keywords in Chinese philosophy, but the Neiye sometimes used them idiosyncratically, for instance, dao was effectively interchangeable with shen and qi (Kirkland 2008: 771).

Jango is later hired by Viceroy Nute Gunray of the Trade Federation to assassinate Senator Padmé Amidala in retaliation for her actions in the first prequel. Fett subcontracts the job to bounty hunter and shape-shifter Zam Wesell. Two failed assassination attempts on the Senator's life forces Fett to kill Wessell with a "saber dart" in order to eliminate the possibility of her leading the Jedi back to Kamino.

The two male vampires have survived by shapeshifting into the soldiers who killed their previous bodies, and now the pair are infecting most of London's population. As Carlsen and Caine are transporting Dr. Armstrong back to London, the female alien escapes from her sedated host and disappears. Martial law is declared as the vampire plague sweeps through the city; the victims seeking out other humans to absorb their life force and perpetuate the cycle. The absorbed life forces are channeled by the male vampires to the female vampire, who transmits the accumulated energy to their spaceship, which is now in geosynchronous orbit over London.

When Luke once again confronts Abeloth, he performs mnemotherapy on her to take away all of the life forces she took over the years, including Callista Ming.

The other Defenders, Interloper, Andromeda, and Manslaughter were restored to life as well and they formed the Dragon Circle to battle the Dragon of the Moon.

The plot of the movie goes back to a similar outing the writer Sunil Gangopadhyay took in the early days of his poetic career. The story unfolds around a group of four friends, quite unlike each other and yet bonded together deeply. The four friends are all educated and come from different layers of society, but the urge to escape from the daily grind of city life forces them to go out into the land of tribes. When the Iron Fists arrived outside Rand HQ, they were confronted in the street by Davos' army. Maintaining his power by consuming the Crane daughters' life forces, Davos eventually attacked Orson Randall, who let Davos kill him so he would not have to keep running (or so he said at the time but his true motivation would only be revealed much later). Randall gave Rand his chi, enabling him to drive off Davos, who vowed to face him again in the Tournament of the Heavenly Cities. When it was Davos' time to enter the tournament, he was approached by the Prince of Orphans to reveal his new Warrior's name since he was representing Kun-Zi for the first time, to which he chose "the Steel Phoenix".

A bit more digging revealed that his targets, far from being innocent, were members of a group run by a mystery man called Danton, and calling itself the Church of the Immortal. Chastity disguised herself and tried to locate the cult, eventually being captured by some of them and taken to their leader. Danton revealed that he was a six-hundred-year-old demon who drained his victims' life forces to survive, and that he was planning to use his musicians to place subliminal messages in their work so that others would be ensnared by his Church, just as Jackie's niece had been. Chastity escaped, and feeling indebted to Slade for what he had done years before, she set out to eliminate Danton.

Tracker is the story of Daggon, an alien life form who lands on Earth from the planet Cirron in a bid to capture 218 prisoners who had escaped from the planet SAR TOP in the Migar Solar System in the form of "life forces" then took over various human identities. He lands in an abandoned field in the outskirts of Chicago where he takes on the form of an underwear model and takes the name "Cole" from the underwear ad he sees on a billboard. He later meets Mel Porter, a Chicago bar owner who has an outgoing British bartender that she inherited along with her grandmother's police bar. Though she is suspicious at first, she gradually comes to accept Cole and lets him stay, offering him some of her ex- boyfriend's clothes.

Minato and Musubi, can only obtain the prize by proving themselves in combat and defeating her. She is defeated by Musubi (thanks to Minato's other Sekirei joining their life-forces with her) and replaced by Musubi as the Guardian of Kouten. She returns to Izumo Inn, but because of the severing of her long-term connection with Kouten she is an invalid and still unwinged; however, her old personality is temporarily re- asserted by a burst of energy from Kouten to prevent a violent quarrel over Minato between Musubi and Kazehana. Minato hopes that one day he will be able to revive Takehito so that Miya can be reunited with (and "winged" by) her "true" Ashikabi ... a dream he achieves a few years after Musubi's return, and Miya and Takehito are tearfully reunited.

Many individuals think that Minato is somehow the key to foiling MBI's ultimate plans for the Sekirei. By the end of the Third Stage, Minato is seen with some advantages against the other remaining contestants as he is the only Ashikabi with two Jinki in his possession, one having been stolen by Matsu and the other won in battle, and for having winged the most single-numbered Sekirei, totaling four (not including Musubi who inherited the powers of Yume, another single number), while receiving guidance from Matsu and Miya (who, despite not participating in the Sekirei Fight, is known as the strongest Sekirei of all). During the final stage, Minato is the Ashikabi representing them in the final match on Kouten to save all Sekirei and their Ashikabi. He and Musubi journey to Kouten to fight Miya for the prize; the rest of his Sekirei join their life-forces with Musubi, enabling Musubi to defeat Miya.

When categorizing the many disciplines of science that developed during this period, Romantics believed that explanations of various phenomena should be based upon vera causa, which meant that already known causes would produce similar effects elsewhere. It was also in this way that Romanticism was very anti-reductionist: they did not believe that inorganic sciences were at the top of the hierarchy but at the bottom, with life sciences next and psychology placed even higher. This hierarchy reflected Romantic ideals of science because the whole organism takes more precedence over inorganic matter, and the intricacies of the human mind take even more precedence since the human intellect was sacred and necessary to understanding nature around it and reuniting with it. Various disciplines on the study of nature that were cultivated by Romanticism included: Schelling's Naturphilosophie; cosmology and cosmogony; developmental history of the earth and its creatures; the new science of biology; investigations of mental states, conscious and unconscious, normal and abnormal; experimental disciplines to uncover the hidden forces of nature – electricity, magnetism, galvanism and other life- forces; physiognomy, phrenology, meteorology, mineralogy, "philosophical" anatomy, among others.
