As backing singers on Atlantic Records, they recorded with LaVern Baker on "Tweedle Dee" and "Jim Dandy"; with Roy Hamilton on "Don't Let Go"; with Big Joe Turner on "Flip, Flop and Fly"; and many others.

First, there was a reunion providing a great chance for current members to connect with alumni and a great opportunity for alumni to reconnect with old friends. At the reunion, the Deep Trebles of past and present relived old songs under the guidance and leadership of the original arrangers, past musical directors, and many of the original soloists. Subsequently, the 10th Anniversary Concert featured the alumni clad in black with a splash of red singing “Beautiful,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” with Candice Helfand, “Let Go,” with Melanie Kim, “Under the Bridge,” with Kenny Karnas, “Always Be My Baby,” with Gia Wright, “The Whole World Together,” with Jason Troost, Matt LaFargue, Uton Onyejekwe, and Travis Nilan, and “The Remedy,” featuring Travis Nilan. The alumni even sang a song by themselves: “If You Could Only See” with Uton Onyejekwe.

As part of a major format shuffle involving four of iHeart's Seattle stations, on January 19, 2016, at Noon, after playing "Lump" by Seattle band The Presidents of the United States of America, KKBW's format would be moved to sister KYNW and was modified to alternative as "Alt 102.9." At the same time, KUBE's long-time Rhythmic CHR format and branding moved to KKBW as "KUBE 104.9", with the format targeting the Tacoma and South Sound areas, as their former 93.3 FM frequency adopted KBKS's Mainstream Top 40 format and relaunched as KPWK, "Power 93.3" (KBKS, in turn, would adopt KYNW's Adult Top 40 format). KUBE's first song on 104.9 was "Can I Get A..." by Jay-Z. With the change, afternoon host/program director Eric Powers (who had been with KUBE since 1992, becoming program director in 1998) was let go, with Tiffany Warner moving from middays to afternoons.

In 1937, while making Way Out West, Stan Laurel refuses to renew his contract with Hal Roach, because Laurel believes the studio and Roach himself are failing to financially recognise the global fame the pair enjoyed at that time. Oliver Hardy remains tied to Roach on a different contract and isn't let go, with the studio attempting to pair him up with Harry Langdon in the film Zenobia, and while Laurel and Hardy would soon get back together, Oliver's absence during a meeting with Fox results in them not being signed on by the studio, leaving Laurel feeling betrayed and bitter for years. In 1953, the comedy duo embark on a grueling music hall tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland while struggling to get another film made: a comedic adaptation of Robin Hood. Poor publicity in Britain managed by the producer Bernard Delfont means the tour begins in almost-empty backstreet theatres with Delfont seeming more interested in his up-and-coming star Norman Wisdom.

Samantha Morgan (Hillary Tuck), the Tornados' team manager, became Danny's girlfriend later in the season. For the second season, Saved by the Bell executive producer Peter Engel was appointed as the series' showrunner, resulting in extensive changes to the show. About half of the main cast (with Deutscher, Parlen, Gabriel and Theus being the lone holdovers) was let go, with new characters being added in their place. Three new players were added – Josh Sanders (Kevin Bell), whom the team convinced to come out of retirement from competitive sports years after being prodded by his Little League coach to bean another player; Vince D'Amata (Michael Sullivan), a Chicago native who had previously served as an alternate on the team; and Theodore "Teddy" Brodis (Anthony Anderson), Coach Fuller's godson and the son of a professional basketball player – while the peppy Amy Wright (Paige Peterson) became head cheerleader, replacing Mary Beth, who was promoted to team manager (a position that led to several blundering attempts at initiating her position's responsibilities that Mary Beth often attempted to fix).
