The plans for the Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre were first announced in 2012 with a series of public open houses hosted by the City of Surrey in conjunction with Stuart Rothnie, architect for HMCA Architecture + Design. In 2014, Hilton announced the opening of Geppetto's Marionette Theater as a collaborative venture with Le Theatre de Marionette. JadeWaters, a $20 million seasonal resort pool complex, opened in late July 2016 utilizing 3 acres of the Anatole's seven acre park area. JadeWaters features a lazy river, two 180 foot water slides, a children's area, 46 pieces of art, a full-service restaurant and a large year-round leisure pool. It is an exclusive amenity for hotel guests The Hilton Anatole was featured in several episodes of Season 13 of The Bachelorette.

In April 2017, a large fence was built down the middle of the main outdoor leisure pool, separating it in two. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) stated that the fence helped improve safety by improving lifeguard sight-lines, which are partly obstructed by the columns supporting the public footbridge above the pool. Swimmers protested the construction as unnecessary, and said that it diminished the character of the pool as well as its recreational value, as some visitors enjoyed the shade beneath the bridge. Legislative councillor Leung Yiu-chung echoed these sentiments, stating that the fence was excessive and urged the LCSD to find a balance between safety and public amenity.

At the community hall (Gesellschaftshaus), which was built in 1879 by the leather company of Carl Simon & Söhne in the Classicist style, concert, cabaret and theatrical events are held the year round by Kulturinitiative Kirn. Twice each year, the hall, big enough for up to 500 people, converts itself into an exhibition hall where, for a fortnight each time, paintings and sculptures, mostly by local artists, are put on display. After intensive conversion work, the family leisure pool “Jahnbad” was opened again in the spring of 2002. Besides the 50 m-long main basin, there is now a leisure basin with a slide, a flow channel and massage couches as well as a wading pool with a little slide.

A fully equipped gymnasium and fitness centre, steam and sauna facilities, physiotherapy rooms, as well as a leisure pool complemented the sport-specific facilities. The Games Village was said to have adopted green features, in line with the 'Green Games' principle of the 2010 Commonwealth Games, and it showcased and practiced sustainable development principles and practices. An in-house waste water treatment and reuse facility, organic waste treatment facilities, and solar powered energy were among the environmentally friendly practices adopted by the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee Headquarters (OC CWG Delhi 2010). At the same time, most of the transport fleet provided for the Games ran on green fuels such as battery electric vehicles and compressed natural gas.

The Club continues to use the outdoor pool – described by the Times Newspaper in 2004 as "Possibly the best open air pool in the area" - throughout the spring and summer. As well as a 50 m six lane main pool with a large trainer pool alongside, the facility includes an extensive sun bathing area, and free parking. Unfortunately increasingly stringent health and safety regulations have resulted in the disappearance of the original diving boards and slides. During the winter months the club uses the public indoor pool which was opened as part of the North Herts Leisure Centre in the early 1980s, although as a leisure pool it is unsuitable for competitive galas.

Park in Fort St. John As the urban centre for approximately 20,000 people, much of the region's recreational and cultural facilities are located in town. Within the city, Centennial Park groups much of these facilities in a central location close to residences and businesses. This large park includes the Fort St. John North Peace Museum,Fort St John Museum website the North Peace Leisure Pool, the North Peace Arena (home of the Fort St. John Huskies), a separate arena for children, an 8-sheet curling rink, as well as an outdoor water park and speed skating oval. Other parks in the area include the city-maintained Fish Creek Community Forest, and about northwest of town the Beatton Provincial Park and Charlie Lake Provincial Park.

Since 2005, peak representative bodies such as Diving Australia, Swimming Australia and the Aquatic Sports Coalition of SA have criticised the condition of facilities at the centre. There was a plan that in the period April to July 2011 the centre's roof would be replaced as the first stage in upgrading the centre. Adelaide City Council has reportedly allocated $6 million for a leisure centre conversion for the aquatic centre, but requires additional funding from the state or federal governments to go ahead. The Council is to undertake a detailed study on how best to proceed in further upgrading the centre in coming years, to shift its focus from swimming competitions to a family oriented leisure pool facility, along the lines of an indoor waterpark.

The facility, sized at an approximate , has an open concept lobby featuring a cafe and classroom with male, female and unisex changing rooms on the ground floor, with the fitness centre above. The natatorium includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, a leisure pool, a family hot tub and separate adult hot tub, a water slide, and a steam room and sauna in addition to numerous other water features. The natatorium's viewing area and additional pool deck has seating for up to 900 spectators. The main pool is a 10-lane competition lap pool with a length of and width of , featuring a movable floor in the shallow end and two movable floating bulkheads that allow the facility to accommodate a variety of activities.

WisPark donated nearly $1.6 million to construct the initial phase of the then 425-acre park. On August 5, 1995, the park was officially dedicated to the people of the Village of Pleasant Prairie. Planning for RecPlex began in 1998. WisPark donated another $4 million for its construction. A ground breaking was held for LakeView RecPlex on October 12, 1999, and construction immediately followed. RecPlex officially opened its doors to the public on October 1, 2000. At the time, RecPlex offered visitors: a 17,000sq ft leisure pool, 60,000sq ft field house, 8,000sq ft fitness center, 1/6-mile suspended track, changing rooms, a child-care area and snack bar. Just over three years later, on January 12, 2004, the Village broke ground on the first addition at RecPlex.

Kusel's biggest leisure facility is the Verbandsgemeinde-run Spaß- und Freizeitbad (“Fun and Leisure Pool”) in Diedelkopf. It consists of an indoor swimming pool with hot tub, tanning bed, pools for children, non-swimmers and swimmers, the last with a diving setup, and also of an outdoor swimming pool with a playground for children, non- swimmers and swimmers, a fun pool. Also found here are a 64 m-long waterslide that ends in summer at the outdoor swimming pool and in winter at a heated outdoor arm of the indoor swimming pool, and a miniature golf course. Besides two football pitches, one in the outlying centre of Diedelkopf and the other near the way out of town going towards Haschbach am Remigiusberg, there are indoor and outdoor tennis courts on the radial road going towards Blaubach.

Llanishen Leisure Centre Llanishen Leisure Centre () is the largest in Cardiff, in Llanishen in the north of the city.
