The Leets provided them with Trickle Up business plans and reports to track business expenses and earnings. New business activities ranged from building blocks to selling eggs, jams, and school uniforms. Some of those businesses are still operating today. Results are overwhelmingly positive in terms of quality of life improvements for the participants.

Forse Bank mill whose name morphed into Forge Bank Mill was upstream. Water was taken from above the weir and two parallel leets powered all the buildings. The mills have separate origins but eventually merged. Forse bank started spinning flax, in 1821 it was spinning cotton but in 1826 it was flax.

In all 263 towns were found to have some form of corporation created by charter or in existence by prescription. The majority had self-elected common councils, whose members served for life. Warren Billy Smith was born on Saturday, January 24, 1931, in Leets, West Virginia. He died at age 72, on Friday, May 9, 2003, at his home on Dunham Street, in Clinton, Iowa. According to long-time personal friend and physician, Grey Musgrave Woodman MD, cause of death was congestive heart failure. Mr. Smith's ashes were scattered along the banks of the Mississippi River.

Moral exclusion is a psychological process where members of a dominant group view their own group and its norms as superior to others, belittling, marginalizing, excluding, even dehumanizing targeted groups. A distinction should be drawn between active exclusion and omission. The former requires intent and is a form of injustice, known as moral exclusion; while the latter is thoughtlessness (Leets, 2001, Forsyth, 2010). The Tattersett name derives from the old English name of Tatessete, which means Tathere’s dwelling. A 1947 Denver Post column noted that Huffman "was born on the 13th day of the month, became engaged on the 13th, contracted for purchases of several Denver cinemas on the 13th, and made his first loan, of $1,300, on the 13th. Trickle Up has been a pioneer graduating people out of extreme poverty since 1979, when it was founded by Glen Leet and Mildred Robbins Leet. Trickle Up was born when the Leets traveled to one of the Caribbean’s poorest nations, Dominica, where they recognized what other poverty alleviation programs were missing: even the world's lowest income people have entrepreneurial potential. The model they created was simple and effective. With the assistance of local agencies and $1000 of their own money, Glen and Mildred gave ten people grants of $100 to launch their own microenterprises.

Norfolk Hundreds, 1830 Between Anglo-Saxon times and the nineteenth century Norfolk was divided for administrative purposes into hundreds, plus the boroughs of Norwich, King's Lynn, Thetford and Great Yarmouth. Each hundred had a separate council that met each month to rule on local judicial and taxation matters. The shire-system was not definitely established in East Anglia before the Conquest, but the boundaries at the time of the Domesday Survey of 1086 remain largely unchanged to the present day. The 36 Domesday hundreds were subdivided into leets, of which no trace remains, and the boroughs of Norwich and Thetford ranked as separate hundreds, while Great Yarmouth was the chief town of three hundreds.

Berowra, the division's namesake The division was created in 1969 and is named for the suburb of Berowra. The seat has always been a safe seat for the Liberal Party.

43 No records exist of her practice as an attorney in Virginia, but records do exist of her sagacious land investments, including in what during the following century became Old Town Alexandria, Virginia and Fredericksburg, Virginia, as well as George Washington's Mt. Vernon. Margaret Brent also held festive annual court leets for her people. Neither she nor her sister Mary ever married; they were among the very few unmarried English women of the time in the Chesapeake colony, when men outnumbered women there by 6:1 (but most were lower class indentured workers). Historian Lois Greene Carr believes the two sisters had taken vows of celibacy under Mary Ward's Institute in England. In 1658 Mary Brent died, leaving her entire estate of 1000 acres (4 km2) to her sister.

Wards of Finchley Municipal Borough in the 1950s. Running west to east from Church End to East Finchley is East End Road. This was possibly Piryton Lane (known in 1423). Midway along this road is the manor house for the Bibbesworth estate, Finchley's principal manor house. Bibbesworth was a sub-manor which had been born from an earlier estate owned by a family styling itself the Finchleys during the 13th century (although whether the area takes its name from the family or the other way round has never been entirely clear). By 1319 it was being called a manor. Richard Rook had a court in 1364 and these court leets and baron continued until the last was held in 1936. There was certainly a manor house by 1253 but this burnt down and was replaced during the 15th and 16th centuries.

By the 1560s, the Tattons, who also owned Northenden and other local land, became full lords of the manor and held court over the area. The township of Stockport Etchells, covering Gatley and much of the area now in Heald Green (the area being based on previous ecclesiastical parishes) gained administrative responsibilities in the 16th century, as the old powers of the lord of the manor waned, and manorial rule became more by consent and custom. In the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, Stockport Etchells and Northen Etchells were frequently administered together as Etchells. The local court leets and court barons moved, for a time from the late 16th century, to a building that later became known as the Old Court House in Gatley (though it was probably an inn at the time). The townships of Stockport Etchells, Cheadle Moseley and Cheadle Bulkeley were merged into the Cheadle and Gatley Urban District in 1894.

Salop, and three Court leets in Moreton-Corbet, Shawbury, and Besford, the Rectory of Staunton, the tithes in Staunton, Harpcott, Moston, Sowbatche, Heath House, Hatton-on-Hyne-Heath and Greenfields and the advowson of Staunton...He was siezed[sic] in tail male of the Manors of Lawley, Harcott, Hopton and Hopley, Co. Salop, and in divers premises there and in Kenston, Espley, Loxford, Peplow, Whixhill and Shrewsbury and of the advowson of Moreton-Corbet and the tithes in Wythyford Magna and Besford and of the Manors of Acton Reyner and Grynshill and divers premises there, and in Clyve, Astley, Oakhurst, Rowlton, Ellardyne, Charleton Grange, Moston, Pymley, and Berrington and tithes in Oakhurst Co. Salop and died siezed[sic] thereof." The inquisition also revealed that Sir Vincent had taken the precaution of getting Judith Austin to recognise in writing that the reversion of her jointure properties in Buckinghamshire would be to his descendants. In practice, Sir Andrew was never to enjoy the rents of these lands, as Judith outlived him by three years.
