Meiqiang is very determined to fulfil his mother's wish. Hong Meifang (Jesseca Liu) is angry with Meiqiang for disappointing their mother time and again. Despite this, Meifang hopes to see her mother leave in peace and agrees to join Meiqiang. Hong Meizhi (Aloysius Pang) is initially unmotivated to look for their father, but he later changes his mind as he is touched by Meiqiang's perseverance.

These initial settlers make up what is called Anam Nkpu Isaa (Seven nodes of Anam). Anam is a corrupt form of Anagba which means coming together of diverse people who have agreed to be united and leave in peace (Anam means Unity).

Santa Anna's army besieges the Alamo, and though allowing the women and children to leave in peace, Captain Dickinson's wife and Consuelo de Quesada, who loves Bowie refuse to go. During the siege Santa Anna and Bowie meet one more time under a flag of truce with each man understanding the other's view that events have spiralled out of control. Bowie refuses to surrender the Alamo or to sit out the battle as Santa Anna's prisoner. Later Bowie is severely injured when seizing a Mexican cannon and bringing it back to the Alamo; his increasing ill health leads Bowie to grant full command to Travis.

Geoffrey's English force took no part in the surrender of the city; Louis allowed them to leave in peace with their arms. On the other hand, Savari's reputation amongst the English was tarnished by accusations of treachery; his efforts to try to explain the fall of La Rochelle to Henry having failed, Savari entered Louis' service by Christmas 1224. In letters sent to Ismail, Bayezid II addressed Ismail as "heir to the kingdom of Kaykhosrow – the legendary great king of the Shahnameh – and to Dara (Darius) of the ancient Persian Empire". Abbas Amanat adds: "He further advised Ismail to behave royally, preserve his precious and strategically vital kingdom with justice and equanimity, end forced conversions, and leave in peace with his neighbors".

Towards the end of the game, Morrigan reveals that Flemeth had instructed her to offer the Wardens a dark ritual prior to their confrontation with the Archdemon; as long as Morrigan has made the necessary preparations and is impregnated with a child who will then carry the soul of the Archdemon upon being slain, the life of the Grey Warden who dealt the final death blow to the Archdemon will be spared, her goal being to preserve an "Old God" soul within the Archdemon. The player has the option to decline the ritual, or acquiesce to Morrigan's offer by having a male Warden character copulate with her.
