It was highly praised by Italian metal magazines and they were able to sign a contract with Scarlet Records. In March 2000 they began working on their debut album The Lasting Power which was finished in April 2000. On September 2001 LIMB Music (who produced Rhapsody of Fire) took notice of Thy Majestie but could not sign a deal with them because they were already signed to Scarlet Music to record two albums. In January 2002 Thy Majestie was contacted by Thomas Youngblood to support him on his European tour with his band Kamelot but they could not afford travel expenses and had to record another album 2 months later.

An advance decision is made when a capacitous adult gives directions about future decisions that might need to be taken when they are not capacitous. If the advance decision is to refuse a particular treatment, then for the most part that treatment may not be given to them.. Advance decisions may be withdrawn at any time while the person has capacity. Unless the person specifies otherwise, their advance decision overrules any decision made by someone with lasting power of attorney. Advance decisions can only be used to refuse a life-sustaining treatment if the decision is in writing, signed and witnessed, and specifically says it relates to life-sustaining treatments.

Thuraisingam represented Chung Khin Chun, a wealthy widow who had been duped into signing over control of her assets worth more than SG$30 million to Yang Yin, a tour guide she met in China. He succeeded in convincing the court to enable Chung to revoke the lasting power of attorney that gave Yang control over her assets. Thuraisingam also acted for one of the defendants in a suit by Credit Suisse to recover US$80 million in damages pursuant to alleged fraudulent loans obtained by REI Agro Limited. Three Hindu Singaporeans instructed Thuraisingam to challenge the government's decision to ban the playing of musical instruments during Thaipusam.

Solicitors Journal 5 October 2009 The term "attorney" is however still used under English law to refer to someone legally appointed or empowered (who may but need not be legally qualified) to act for another person. Currently, the term is most commonly used to refer to someone so appointed under a "power of attorney". This may be a "general power of attorney";Powers of Attorney Act 1971 section 10 a lasting power of attorney may be granted under the provisions of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Some practitioners in specialist professions, notably intellectual property, are also referred to as attorneys, for example registered patent attorneys, which is a separate qualification to that of a solicitor.

An ordinary power of attorney is only valid for so long as the donor has the mental capacity to ratify the attorney's actions. There are also powers of attorney for trustees, governed by section 25 of the Trustee Act 1925. A power of attorney can last, notwithstanding the incapacity of the donor, only if it is a lasting power of attorney: this is a separate and quite different type of power, which must be in a prescribed form, and, to be valid, once signed and witnessed must also be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian. This new type of power of attorney was introduced in 2007 under the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Some servers enable temporary-lasting power-ups that grant multiplied damage (Berserker), invisibility (Predator mode), a flamethrower along with temporary invincibility (FlameGod), or Cluster Grenades (which temporarily replace regular grenades with three of more powerful, modified versions) or even a Bulletproof Vest (effectiveness of the vest depends on the distance from the firer of the bullet, and the vest slowly decreases as it soaks up damage, disappearing after absorbing a certain amount of damage, though there is no time limit).

See "Doubled Edged Sword" in The Story of Roy Head and The Traits. Later releases by Head on Dunhill and Elektra contained elements of rockabilly and psychedelic rock, but by the mid-1970s his solo career had led him to country. He signed first with Mega Records and then with Shannon Records and later on with ABC Records and Elektra Records. After releasing the 1970 cult classic "Same People That You Meet Going Up You Meet Coming Down" on Dunhill Records, Head's music reached the U.S. country music Top 100 24 times by the mid-1980s, while landing three Top 20 hits: "The Most Wanted Woman in Town", (1975) "Come To Me" and "Now You See Em, Now You Don't" both in 1977 and recorded on the ABC/Dot label reaching No. 16 and No. 19, respectively. Even the earliest blues-laced, rockabilly-styled recordings of The Traits, primarily written in a collaboration between Bolton, Buie, Gibson, and Head, have demonstrated lasting power with "One More Time", "Live It Up" and "Summertime Love" making periodic surges into the Top 100 in various parts of Europe.
