Rosemary Jacqueline Shrager (born 21 January 1951) is a British chef and TV presenter, best known for being an haute cuisine teacher on the reality television programme Ladette to Lady, and as a judge on Soapstar Superchef. She also made an appearance on the reality TV series I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!. Other television projects have included Kitchen Showdown with Rosemary Shrager, where she weaned unhealthy fast-food families onto nutritious cuisine. The show must go on, and the girls have just days to prepare for a wildly ambitious event — a masked ball in honour of their royal visitor. And, as if that weren't enough, the girls must also contend with some amorous bachelors who will be staying over the night of the ball. In November 2008, Hanson filmed for the Australian version of Ladette to Lady He quit filming two days early; in an interview with the Daily Telegraph, Hanson stated that the programme is "detrimental to promoting good manners and etiquette". In 2015 he joined the MailOnline as a columnist, writing about social class, etiquette and the British royal family. In August 2017 he performed at the 70th Edinburgh Festival Fringe with The Etiquette Show: Much Ado About Everything with one reviewer calling Hanson's performance "gently camp and very debonair". He regularly appears on BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright in the Afternoon programme talking about different topics of etiquette and answering listeners' dilemmas.

Throughout, they will be judged under the exacting standards of the teachers and by others from the ranks of high society. And they will face their toughest challenge yet — to write and deliver a speech about their journey from ladette to lady. You can cut the atmosphere with a knife as the teachers retire to decide which one is this year's winner, and when Sarah makes a surprise appearance to wish all three of her fellow ladettes the very best of luck, there is relief and genuine joy. After all the deliberations, the trials and tribulations, Ms Harbord finally emerges to announce that this year's winner is Nicole and there isn't a dry eye left in the house.

Several months after series two of Ladette to Lady, all of the ladettes from both series one and series two were invited back to Eggleston Hall, along with teachers Gill Harbord, Rosemary Shrager and Liz Brewer, in order to see how the ladettes had changed and how they had progressed in their lives. During the End of Term Report we saw Clare Randall, who, during series one was a regular and heavy drinker. In the more recent gathering she revealed that she had had a baby, totally reformed her life and quit drinking alcohol altogether. There was also Michelle King from series one, who as a result of the teachings of Eggleston Hall, has become more feminine and has been able to progress further in her life with more confidence.

Their excessive lifestyle is a parody of British ladette culture. Viz creator Chris Donald refers to this in his book, where he also mentions that the portrayal of the Slags was criticised by feminists writing in the Guardian newspaper. At the time of these criticisms the Fat Slags had not appeared in the comic for more than a year, but as a direct response to the criticism they were immediately resurrected for the next issue, in which they had a humorous run-in with the feminist Millie Tant. She was 'head-teacher' in Ladette to Lady, a reality television programme that emulated the curriculum of a finishing school; she helped struggling bed and breakfast owners fix up their businesses on BBC1's B&B; the Best (which is currently syndicated in the United States on Vibrant TV Network); she was the etiquette expert on The Family, another reality- television show in which a large extended family were sent to live in a large mansion house with a full domestic staff; she was one of the judges of the Australia Princess series, and the original NBC series American Princess, which set out to teach young women how to conduct themselves like princesses and make them fit to marry a prince. She appeared on Faking It, teaching a girl from the north of England to present herself as a society 'lady'; in Snobs; and as an etiquette expert on Britain's Next Top Model.
