Ko chooses to resign, and, using the metal capsule from earlier, accesses Park's private vault, discovering an enormous reserve of cash, more than he could have imagined.
On September 15, 2012 Alcine faced Irish brawler and two-time World Title challenger Matthew Macklin (at the time 28–4, 19 KO's) on the HBO PPV Undercard of Julio César Chávez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez for the WBC World Middleweight Title in the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas. Before the Tsuen Wan Extension opened, the single line of the MTR traveled from Central to Kwun Tong (whereas today all northbound trains from Tsim Sha Tsui go to Tsuen Wan). The station concourse was renovated in 1986. Tsim Sha Tsui Station was featured in Clifton Ko's 1987 film, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad World. It also appeared in a brief chase sequence featuring Brigitte Lin in Wong Kar-wai's 1994 film, Chungking Express. Modification work were undertaken from 2002 to 2005 to facilitate new pedestrian subway connections between this station and the new East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, built nearby by the KCR Corporation.

109 Lehrman left Keystone, along with star performer Ford Sterling, to found Sterling Comedies under the umbrella of the Universal Film and Manufacturing Co., later Universal Pictures. After a relatively short time, Lehrman was fired from Sterling Comedies as well and founded L-KO as a separate unit within Universal. L-KO's first comedy star was veteran English comic Billie Ritchie, who had played the role of the drunk in Fred Karno's stage production A Night in the English Music Hall before Chaplin did. Ritchie made his film debut in the first L-KO production, Love and Surgery, which was released October 25, 1914.
Along with Artemis Fowl II and Juliet, he is one of the few people who knows about the existence of fairies. Butler is described as a large caucasian man, who is almost seven feet tall and weighing 90 kilograms (200 lbs), with deep blue eyes. Like all Butlers, he was trained in Madame Ko's Bodyguard Academy, where he was trained in Cordon Bleu cooking, marksmanship, a blend of different martial arts, emergency medicine, and information technology. He is the third deadliest man in the world, behind only one of his relatives and a martial arts master who lives on a tropical island and spends his days beating up palm trees.

On March 5, 2011, Kirkland returned to the ring after an almost 2-year layoff to defeat Ahsandi Gibbs via first-round KO. On April 9, 2011, Kirkland faced Nobuhiro Ishida of Japan, in what was supposed to be a stay-busy fight for Kirkland. However, in a stunning upset, the previously undefeated Kirkland was stopped in the first round by the Japanese fighter, who isn't known for being a big puncher having only 7 KO's in 29 fights, getting knocked down 3 times. After the loss, Kirkland split with trainer Kenny Adams and reunited with Ann Wolfe. Kirkland and Wolfe had broken up after Kirkland went to prison.
Under North Korea's songbun ascribed status system, Ko's Korean-Japanese heritage would make her part of the lowest "hostile" class. Furthermore, her father worked in a sewing factory for the Imperial Japanese Army, which would give her the "lowest imaginable status qualities" for a North Korean. Prior to an internal propaganda film released after the ascension of Kim Jong-un, there were three attempts made to idolize Ko, in a style similar to that associated with Kang Pan-sok, mother of Kim Il-sung, and Kim Jong-suk, mother of Kim Jong-il and the first wife of Kim Il-sung. These previous attempts at idolization failed and were stopped after Kim Jong-il's 2008 stroke.
On February 28, 2018, Ko Un, one of South Korea's most iconic and prominent poets and frequently mentioned Nobel laureate shortlist candidate, was also accused of sexual assault. First reported by the Dong-A Ilbo, poet Choi Young-mi's poem 'The Beast' suggests sexual assault by Ko approximately 20 years ago. The poem did not explicitly mention Ko, but the details of the frequently mentioned "En", which bears similarities to Ko's name – Ko Un – highly matches the accused poet's past. It also confirms the constant rumors and allegations that have been circulating in the past years that Ko has been using his privilege as a prominent poet to gain sexual advances and favors.
Schwarz first professional fight was on the 29 August 2013 when he won a very fast 20 second KO victory over German 34 year old Mario Schmidt. In his 15th professional fight on the 15 November 2015, Schwarz was allowed to fight against the powerful 20-year-old German Ilja Mezencev for the vacant WBO Youth World Champion title. Chiang Li-jung, a descendant of Chiang Wei-shui's, stated that Ko was taking advantage of similarities between himself and Chiang Wei-shui. The Chiang Wei- shui Cultural Foundation panned the name of Ko's political party, stating that confusion may arise between it and Chiang's political activity. In response, Ko stated that he preferred to retain the name, as establishing a political party was not an illegal act and therefore should not be hindered in any way. On 2 August 2019, Tseng Hsu-cheng, a former deputy mayor of Tainan, began a petition against the registration of the TPP under that name, citing the historical impact of the earlier Taiwanese People's Party.
Coming off two consecutive losses in title fights, Macklin came back on 15 September 2012, he fought on HBO World Championship Boxing PPV on the undercard of the WBC World Middleweight Title fight between Mexico's then defending WBC Middleweight Champion Julio César Chávez, Jr. and Argentina's Lineal Middleweight Champion Sergio Martínez in the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada. The four uploaded simultaneous videos on their respective YouTube channels on June 19, August 28, October 31, and December 25, 2018, and were featured prominently in YouTube Rewind 2018, with Chamberlain's face at the center of the YouTube Rewind 2018 thumbnail.
Ko-Ko also treats his bloody office as a profession, saying, "I can't consent to embark on a professional operation unless I see my way to a successful result." Of course, joking about death does not originate with The Mikado. The plot conceit that Nanki-Poo may marry Yum-Yum if he agrees to die at the end of the month was used in A Wife for a Month, a 17th-century play by John Fletcher. Ko-Ko's final speech affirms that death has been, throughout the opera, a fiction, a matter of words that can be dispelled with a phrase or two: being dead and being "as good as dead" are equated.
Unknown to Yat-Tsun, his uncle, Tung Chin-Long (Elliot Ngok), is involved with rigging horse races. Tung Chin-Long's wife, Sung Gam- Chi (Michelle Yim), proves to be especially dangerous in insuring the safety of her family, particularly for the future of her favoured older son Tung Yat- Long (Stephen Wong). Her younger son, Tung Yat-Chiu (Vin Choi), ends up being a selfish troublemaker and her niece, Sung Ka-Yee (Shirley Yeung), reveals herself to be manipulative, spiteful, and two-faced. Tong Chi-Ko's father commits suicide after mistakenly believing his wife and daughter left him because he was unwilling to stop gambling and unable to get out of debt.

She has since won seven more LPGA events, and is the current #1 in the Women's World Golf Rankings for professionals. The first of Ko's two stints as #1 in the professional rankings began in February 2015, before her 18th birthday, making her the youngest player of either sex to reach the top of the world rankings. Later in 2015, Ko won her first major championship, the Evian Championship, becoming the youngest player of either sex to win a professional major championship, and became the youngest-ever LPGA Player of the Year. Tournaments and competitions include Trans Tasman Cup, New Zealand Open, New Zealand Women's Open, New Zealand PGA Championship, Taranaki Open and SBS Invitational.
In 1809, Tan Peeng Ko, Kapitein der Chinezen of Batavia set up a subsidiary office on the southern side of the city, closer to Glodok, the Chinese quarter, to simplify the implementation of the council's day-to-day activities. In 1866, Kapitein Tan Peeng Ko's son and successor, Tan Eng Goan, the 1st Majoor der Chinezen of Batavia, officially moved the Kong Tong to larger premises in Tongkangan, where the Koan Koan remained until its abolition by the Republic of Indonesia in the early 1950s. The history of other Chinese councils is neither as old nor as well documented. The Kong Koan of Surabaya became defunct in the 1930s following the abolition of the system of Chinese officers.
Lewis is the first kickboxer to be featured in both The Ring boxing magazine and Sports Illustrated. Although promoter Lee Faulkner attempted to organize a legitimate "world" title fight between US champ Joe Lewis and a Thai kickboxing champion, a fight never materialized. By the end of 1971, interest in kickboxing had hit an all-time low, with promoters unable to attract a crowd to a kickboxing event. Lewis retired as undefeated United States Heavyweight Kickboxing champion in 1971. His record as the undisputed United States heavyweight kickboxing champion was a perfect 10–0 with 10 KO's. September 14, 1974 on ABC's Wide World of Entertainment promoter Mike Anderson introduced PKA 'full- contact' karate.
In Cantonese, the name "Mo" (武) is homonymic to the term "no/nothing/never" (無), therefore, Mo Chak- shu (武則書) is phonetically similar to the term "無執輸", which means "Will not lose" or "will not be at a disadvantage". Meanwhile, Mo Tak-ko (武德高) is phonetically similar to "無得高", which means "will never grow tall". Paul Chun's character, Kam Tai-tse (金大枝) somewhat resembles the transliterated name of the former President of South Korea, Kim Dae-jung. Mo Tak-ko's purported English name, Charles (as revealed to Diana), is a reference to Charles, Prince of Wales, while Diana's name is a reference to Diana, Princess of Wales.

As what Woo-tak had dreamt, Inspector Choi admits that he is part of the inspection of the seized items related to the IV drip serial killing case. He told the court that he was with Yoo-beom when he rechecked the seized items and saw three bottles of Vecaron, which were not among the items before. When Lawyer Ko nearly destroys his credibility as witness, Jae-chan won the juries over by emphasizing the fact the Yoo-beom have fabricated evidences to gain fame and a position in Lawyer Ko's law firm. Hong-joo was interrogated next and, as what Woo-tak had dreamt, her statements get impeached since Lawyer Ko insisted that she had been drugged and could have only been hallucinating.
Cenicola fought the promotional banners of Top Rank Boxing, Main Events and Tiger Eye. His most notable win was a hard fought decision against Robert "Choo Choo" Dixon on September 12, 1986, at the Omni New Daisy Theater in Memphis, Tennessee. Cenicola received a perforated eardrum and a torn retina and received more than 100 stitches for cuts he received during the fight but managed a unanimous decision, taking his record to 18-0 with 11 KO's. He was ranked in the top ten as a lightweight in the world in 1986. After two straight losses to Bryant Paden on August 27, 1987, and to the number one contender Louie Lomeli on February 6, 1988, Cenciola retired at the age of 28 on February 7, 1988.
On 31 January, Maguire broke Lydia Ko's record for the most weeks at the top of the World Amateur rankings, with 131 weeks. Serene Lim, a reviewer for Today, labelled the film a "gentle tale of a teenage romance". She said that "Ko's talents as a novelist are evident", although his "attention to detail can get indulgently long-winded at times". Lim singled out Ko Chen-tung for praise, saying that "[he] thoroughly deserves his Golden Horse nomination for Best Newcomer, given his turn as the impetuous rebel made good"; overall, she gave the film a rating of 3.5 out of 5. Yong Shu Hoong, writing for Singapore-based Mypaper, said that the "flashback sequences can reek of oversentimentality", although the reviewer added that "the thrills, rivalries and heartbreak associated with high school romance are well depicted with nostalgia and humour" and gave it a rating of 3 out of 5.
The Bodell fight was particularly costly, depriving Bugner of his British, British Commonwealth and European championships. Bugner's relative inexperience, his youth and lack of an extensive amateur background, (and possibly the lingering controversy surrounding the Cooper fight), were the chief causes of these defeats. In 1972 Bugner won eight consecutive fights, including a knockout over Jürgen Blin for the European championship, an impressive knockout against the tough Tony Doyle (who had beaten Thad Spencer and Terry Daniels, and had taken Jerry Quarry the distance) and had further KO's over the then-unbeaten Doug Kirk and the useful Italian Dante Cane in defence of his European title. By the end of that year, Bugner had acquired sufficient seasoning as a boxer, that his manager began seeking matches against the world's best heavyweights.
In The Last Guardian, he is severely injured by a bolt of black magic, which permanently cripples his heart. Butler is the bodyguard to the teen criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl II, a position that he assumed the day the boy was born, having trained at Madame Ko's academy and undertaken various assignments for intelligence services and governments around the world. He has earned the admiration of their various allies for his dedication to Artemis's goals and his sheer power, his strength having played an important role in many of their adventures and his human contacts being highly useful to Artemis. Although the magical nature of later threats has rendered him less useful than he was previously, he remains one of Artemis Fowl's main assets, his staunchest ally, and his closest friend.
Golden Boy were looking to keep the card and find a replacement. Mexican prospect Jaime Munguia (29-0, 25 KO's) replaced Smith, stopping Ali in round 4 and winning the WBO title. On 21 May, Frank Warren stated a deal was being put together for Mungiua to make his first title defence against Smith, possibly in the U.S. A month later, the fight was confirmed to take place on 21 July 2018, at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. For the fight, Mungiua was promised a purse of $200,000 and Smith would receive a $75,000 purse. In the fight, televised by HBO's Boxing After Dark, in front of a small crowd of 2,470, Smith took advantage of Munguia's defense at first, having success with his right hand.
For the third time in a row, Conjestina failed to make good her now famous threat "Come Early coz I'll finish early" when she had to slug it out for the whole six rounds against the heftily built Ugandan. Conjestina, who had a reputation for knocking out her opponents, had now failed to stop three in a row. Achieng improved to 9-2-3 (4 KOs). On 2 December 2006 at the Moi International Sport Center in Nairobi, Kenya, Janaya Davis (164¼ lbs) of Atlanta, Georgia won a six-round (60-58,58-56,59-55) unanimous decision over Conjestina (154¼ lbs) who fell to 9-3-3 (4 KO's) with her second home loss to a visiting American. Janaya Davis improved her record to 5-2 (1 KO) with the win.
Murata decided a lone Hsien-Ko would be too weak as a human being, and so he came up with the jiangshi idea "but Lei-Lei can't control her powers alone, so she fights with her sister transformed into an ofuda." Nishio said: "after drawing Lei-Lei’s graphics I watched a real Chinese jiangshi movie, and I got a little worried about how Lei-Lei would be able to move around with that ofuda covering her eyes. (laughs) That was why I made Lin-Lin the ofuda." Hsien-Ko's arsenal for her comedic "Anki Hou" special attack (throwing various projectiles including swords, daggers, axes, sledgehammers, kunai, shuriken, boomerangs, fuse bombs, chains, weights, bonsai trees, bronze statues, and Chun Li's bracelets) was created as team members would propose to add more items.

He retired for good in 1995 with a record of 82 wins, 8 losses, and 65 KO's, along with the recognition of being one of the sports most universally respected fighters among fans, experts, and boxers. Argüello was elected to the International Boxing Hall Of Fame in 1992.
In October 2014, reports surfaced that according to Ethan Gutmann, an investigative writer who testified before the U.S. Congress on forced organ harvesting, Ko reportedly visited China in 2004 and tried to negotiate good prices for the organs illegally harvested from newly executed Falun Gong practitioners. Ko denied the accusation, and said he told Gutmann that there were some doctors in Taiwan who had been involved in buying or selling organs for transplant, but that he was not one of them. He added that he did not know whether the organs came from Falun Gong practitioners or not, and that he only stated in the interview with Gutmann that the majority of organ sources in mainland China were unclear. Ko's office stated that a recording of a conversation between Gutmann and Ko drastically contradict with details provided by Gutmann.
In Hsien-Ko's Darkstalkers 3 storyline, which makes no mention of the twins' mother, they discover that they are connected psychically after experiencing the same dream on the night of their sixteenth birthday, but the very next night they both suffer a nightmare and fall into a coma, which in turn sees their collective consciousness transported into Majigen. After awakening in this foreign territory, they find they have gained new powers simply from unleashing the power of an unspecified forbidden spell and team up to fight their way out of the realm. Hsien-Ko has made several other appearances in crossover titles. She appears as a playable character in Namco × Capcom, and is paired with Fong Ling from Resident Evil: Dead Aim as a single unit, while in Project X Zone she is paired up with Frank West from Dead Rising.
In the 2018 Taipei City mayoral election, there was a controversy regarding Gutmann's book and his statement in 2014. In a news conference in Taipei on 2 October, Gutmann was asked if he had changed his mind about Ko, in which he answered “yes”.'Slaughter' author says Chinese used Taipei Mayor Ko's tech to transplant Falun Gong prisoners' organs 2 October 2018, Taiwan News Gutmann showed a group photograph of Ko attending a conference on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation training in China and said Ko had told him he knew about organ harvesting of Falun Gong members in 2005, but Gutmann had discovered that the conference took place only three months before he interviewed Ko. “Dr. Ko did not say explicitly what he did in the mainland,” Gutmann said, adding that Ko did not tell him whether he was making money or arranging for patients to receive organ transplants in China.
Michael's spacious pad, whose open layout looks suspiciously like a sound stage, serves as a cost-effective location for a lengthy stretch, while a gaggle of characters drop in and out to deliver trite gags. These range from a mildly irritating demo of wonky weapons by an ammo expert (Law Kar-ying), to a criminally infantile cake-throwing match. Two romantic arcs unfold — one between Ken's R2-D2 doppelganger robot, Stupido, and Michael's femme-bot, Skinny; the other a love triangle involving Michael, Ko's younger sister Ko Fei (Li Yuchun) and Mark. When Yik Tin Hang finally arrives to exact revenge, he challenges Ken and his friends to a game of table tennis. He later invites them to a “charity” mahjong, dice and three-person card game from China (called "Fighting the Landlord") event at a hall within the island resort on Paradise Island.
Bregy made his K-1 debut on June 3, 2000 at K-1 Fight Night 2000 in Zürich, Switzerland, against Reinhard Ulz. He won the fight by 2 round KO. On May 21, 2005, in Stockholm, Sweden, Bregy beat all three opponents Pavel Majer, Denis Grigoriev and Gary Turner and won his first K-1 tournament title. In 2006 Bregy continued his strong performance in K-1 World GP in Amsterdam, winning the tournament by three consecutive KO's over Freddy Kemayo, Naoufal Benazzouz and Gokhan Saki and qualified himself for K-1 World GP Final Elimination 2006 in Osaka, Japan. He was matched up against the defending K-1 World champion Semmy Schilt, and lost the fight by first round left hook KO. On February 9, 2008 at K-1 Europe Elimination GP in Budapest, Hungary, Bregy knocked out Paula Mataele and qualified for the K-1 European GP held in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling make their first appearance in the second episode of the 1997 anime miniseries Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge. The twins travel Earth in an old T-bucket-style convertible with a trailer resembling a covered wagon attached. Their personalities, and speech patterns in the English dub of the program, differed considerably; Mei-Ling is the more sensible of the pair and speaks eloquently, whereas Hsien-Ko has a more childlike disposition, and her dialogue often contains modern colloquialisms or improper grammar (often saying "don't" in place of "doesn't"). She also appears in the 1995 American cartoon series that is loosely based on the games (in the episodes "Ghost Hunter" and "Darkest Before Dawn"), where Hsien-Ko's backstory was altered like those of several characters, in her case her transformation having resulted from her accidentally consuming a substance she mistook for rice that was hidden under a floorboard inside a hut.
In 1936, together with co- legislators Soetardjo Kartohadikoesoemo, Sayyid Ismail Alatas, I. J. Kasimo, Sam Ratulangi and Datoek Toemoenggoeng, Ko initiated and was one of the six signatories of the Soetardjo Petition, which was a request to Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands for Indonesian independence as part of a Dutch commonwealth under the Dutch Crown. On 19 September 1936, Ko gave a speech in support of the parliamentary motion, which was passed by the Volksraad, but refused by the Dutch and colonial authorities in 1938. In 1939, Ko – the Dutch-educated son of a Chinese officer – was elected chairman of the Federasi Perkoempoeloan Boeroeh Tionghoa (the ‘Federation of Chinese Labour Unions’), an ethnic Chinese trade union organisation.
